The Rimac Nevera continues to shatter records, securing the title as the fastest-accelerating production car, and holding the highest verified top speed among electric vehicles (EVs). Its latest triumph took place at the illustrious Goodwood Festival of Speed hillclimb, where it emerged as the fastest electric production car ever to tackle the challenge, and the swiftest overall production car this year. Equipped with Pirelli Pilot Sport 4S tires, the Nevera was expertly navigated by Bugatti Rimac's Chief Test and Development Driver, Miroslav Zrnčević. Unlike 2022's smoky drifts and cornering theatrics, this year's focus was securing another record.
Zrnčević expressed that the narrow Goodwood hillclimb is a daunting feat, yet the perfect stage to showcase the groundbreaking work of Rimac's design and engineering teams. The Nevera's record-setting journey was witnessed by an enormous on-site crowd and millions online. The Festival also saw Rimac Automobili hosting VIPs and customers, offering them an exhilarating ride in the Nevera.
The Nevera, limited to 150 examples, owes its record-breaking performance to an advanced battery system, powertrain, and software, all created in-house at Rimac. Its front and rear powertrains - each having two individual motors - power each wheel separately. All systems are overseen by Rimac's electronic control units and an NVIDIA Pegasus-based supercomputer, culminating in the Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring 2. As of now, this revolutionary car is being assembled outside Zagreb, with deliveries ongoing worldwide, further establishing Rimac Nevera's dominance in the EV production car market.
