Hot Wheels Partners With Formula 1 In Multi-Year Collabor...

As surprising as it may sound to hear that toy giant Mattel and Formula 1 haven't already worked together to build a Hot Wheels die-cast, the two world-renowned brands have finally partnered up. This collaboration starts with a 1:64 scale F1 car offered through Mattel Creations, finished in a Hot Wheels livery. As part of the toy maker's premium line, it rides on Real Rider wheels with interchangeable tires while featuring a whole metal body.  "Hot Wheels has always been about nurturing the challenger spirit, so the partnership with Formula 1 is a natural and exciting fit. It will bring two of the largest global fan communities together to share their passion for cars and racing," says Roberto Stanichi, Hot Wheels Executive Vice President & Head of Vehicles and Building Sets at Mattel.  Its nose wears the number "68," representing the year Hot Wheels was founded. It will ship in a Kar Keepers collector's clamshell as a limited-run model. Mattel has yet to announce how many of these $25 die-cast models it plans to produce. However, as the partnership advances, cars wearing the liveries of various Formula 1 teams will become available, expanding the series. According to Emily Prazer, Formula 1's Chief Commercial Officer, "The exciting collaboration will bring together the adrenaline of motor racing and the excitement of toy cars and provide opportunities to see the fine details that go into an F1 car, all in the palm of your hand. It's more than just a partnership; it's a celebration of speed, creativity, and innovation that will bring fans a new way to engage with the sport."  Although this partnership starts with a limited run of cars, the toymaker, and the racing series state that this multi-year collaboration will result in a full line of toys to come.

The New Oilstainlab HF-11 Supercar Is Made By "Maniacs"

This new retro-inspired supercar is made to be insane. The concept of a supercar, in itself, is a zany one. With mid or rear-mounted engines made for performance, dramatic looks, and a particular lack of everyday practicality, but two twins formed Oilstainlab in 2018, intending to make “never being sane” the MO for a new supercar. That supercar is the Oilstainlab HF-11, a new supercar with retro-inspired style, naturally aspirated available flat-six engines, an option for a manual transmission, and rear-wheel drive. With a targeted weight of just 2,000 pounds, and as much as 1,200 horsepower thanks to a 12,000-rpm rev limit, the Oilstainlab HF-11 is an incredible racing-inspired machine, the brainchild of Oilstainlab’s founders, two twins with an affinity for automotive performance. The supercar is inspired by classic racing machines and is meant to adopt a purist approach to thrilling driving. Created to be the best of both worlds, the Oilstainlab HF-11 seeks to be a time capsule of retro racing with the greatest innovations of modern high performance. With its incredible power and purist aspects, the HF-11 seeks to be the most maniacal manifestation of an endangered performance era. VinWiki Confirms A New Solo Run Cannonball Record Set In ...

duPont REGISTRY does not condone the act of speeding on public roads; always follow your local traffic laws. As the famous saying goes, " Records are meant to be broken," which proves to be perfect when referring to the Cannonball Run and its illustrious history of blistering attempts across the U.S. For those of you who may be unaware of the famous Cannonball Run, it's a grueling east-coast to west-coast car sprint based on the 1981 American action-comedy film directed by Hal Needham. The challenge has since grown to feature diverse classes and categories, from diesel-powered participants to co-driver competitors and everything inbetween. Ed Bolian of VinWiki has grown to become the connoisseur of the Cannonball Run, even dominating a previous record in 2020 with co-drivers Dave Black and Dan Huang in a 2004 Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG. Today, Ed Bolian is excited to announce yet another record-breaking run on his newest VinWiki episode, set by longtime fan and passionate cannonballer, Chris Stowell. Setting a new solo run record of 27 hours and 16 minutes, Chris chose a BMW 535d as the base of his build because of its fuel efficieny and performance. Hidden upgrades like an ECU tune, radar detector, front and rear laser jammers, and an extra gas tank were added with the intent of going back to stock and enjoying the BMW up to 250,000 miles after breaking the record. Preperation for the trip included some shorter test runs from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, and San Diego to Jacksonville to ensure not only the 535d's performance but also Chris' readiness to take on the daunting challenge. However, it wouldn't be the first time attempting the Cannonball Run, as his last left him stranded halfway with a flat tire. This time, converting away from staggered tires and adding a spare, Chris set off from NYC in the early hours of a Monday morning only to be faced with a check engine light throwing a fuel code by the time he got to New Jersey. With the decision made to continue after assessing a one-time limp mode with a quick restart, the journey was on, and the BMW 535d continued making great time as it hustled through the day and night. The car's torque and engine performance were meticulously monitored through a tablet so that Chris knew the overall health status of the car. Even having been pulled over in Oklahoma and followed by police in California, Chris Stowell was able to achieve his record-setting solo Cannonball Record time of 27 hours and 16 minutes in his modified BMW 535d. Michael Jordan & 23XI Racing NASCAR Team Announce $1 Mill...

Michael Jordan’s NASCAR racing team works to repair Helene’s havoc. Last week, Hurricane Helene brought unprecedented devastation to much of the Southeast, a storm that made landfall with 140-mph winds in Florida and continued to bring destruction across Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, and other parts of the country. In the aftermath, the historic storm left a path of damage, including roughly 4.2 million power outages across five states. The flooding, blocked roads, fallen trees, and debris have severely disrupted daily life for millions, and North Carolina has seen some of the most extreme impacts. In collaboration with his 23XI NASCAR racing team, Michael Jordan is contributing a $1 million donation towards the NC Disaster Relief Fund and the Second Harvest of Metrolina. Contributing $500,000 each, the money highlights Michael Jordan and 23XI Racing’s commitment to helping the state of North Carolina and the storm’s victims move forward and rebuild their communities. Michael Jordan himself sent a message to Helene’s victims in the same social media post in which the donation was announced, saying: "Our hearts go out to everyone suffering from Hurricane Helene's devastation. 23XI Racing and I are honored to support the NC Disaster Relief Fund and Second Harvest of Metrolina as they help rebuild lives, restore hope and ensure that those affected receive the assistance they need.” With a significant contribution to the relief efforts of this historic storm, Michael Jordan and 23XI Racing are helping rebuild in the aftermath of an unprecedented natural disaster. 2024 Maserati Grecale Trofeo: A Traveler's Review

When testing out a new vehicle, I prefer to first use it as a daily driver in order to see how easily it can adapt to my everyday needs. The 2024 Maserati Grecale Trofeo may be the perfect tool for that job. I got off a late-night flight at JFK and made my way to the car, knowing I had a long drive out to the Hamptons to attend The Bridge event. As I grabbed the keys and unlocked the car, the first thing I noticed was the enormous trunk. It made my bulky, overstuffed suitcase seem small. I closed the trunk, climbed into the driver’s seat, and fired up the throaty-sounding 3.0-liter V6, which can also be found in the MC20. Adjusting the seat and wheel position and pairing my phone was a breeze. Everything seemed rather intuitive––save for the volume button, but I quickly got used to that. Once I settled into the comfortable sport seat, I took off towards the Hamptons and grew more impressed by the minute.  Although I had thought the car was going to be too small, it truly was the perfect size, even for my 6-foot frame. The interior feels spacious, and it has a mighty road presence. As I merged onto the highway, I could immediately feel all 523 horsepower thrusting the car forward. The late night highway drive was calm and easy in both Comfort and GT Mode. As I pulled off the highway, I put it in Sport Mode, instantly sensing the difference in throttle response and sound. The exhaust is extremely aggressive and sounds great. Once parked, it took me a second to locate the door handle button, but once I found it, I couldn’t stop myself from stepping out and admiring the car in the driveway. I ended my first night with the car thoroughly pleased by its dynamism and power. As the weekend went on, I continued to discover more impressive features. Though I normally don’t pay much attention to audio quality, the Sonus Faber sound system sounds too incredible to ignore. The comfort, size, performance, and handling puts this car in a class of its own. Whether it was tearing up the Hamptons' winding back roads or getting up to speed on the highway, the car delivers a smoothly thrilling driving experience. Though the array of features often makes the interior feel a bit cluttered, and I could do without touchscreen climate and volume controls, all of this can be easily overlooked when you focus on the fact that nearly everything else about the Grecale Trofeo is great.  Overall, the Maserati Grecale Trofeo is the perfect daily driver. You somehow manage to get sports car performance and handling in a small SUV-sized package. The steering feel is top-notch, and the ZF 8-speed transmission is quick and precise. All of this is enclosed within an extremely spacious cabin. I think it’s safe to say that the 2024 Maserati Grecale Trofeo is really something special.  We have a lot of great options on duPont REGISTRY, check them out by clicking the button below.
