McMurtry Teases Final 2,000-HP Spéirling PURE Before Debut
Since its debut to the automotive world at the Goodwood Festival of Speed back in 2021, the McMurtry Spéirling has generated quite the buzz around what's only best described as one of the fastest yet smallest hypercars ever created. And along the way, the electrified 2,000-horsepower Spéirling has already smashed records all across the world before production has even commenced, including a record-holding hillclimb sprint at Goodwood, an outright EV track record at Laguna Seca, and two recently secured records during its tour in Denmark. Now, five years after the Spéirling launched off the start line at Goodwood, McMurtry is teasing the final production form of the record-breaking Spéirling PURE.Named after the Old Gaelic word for ‘thunderstorm’, the car is engineered and built at McMurtry’s headquarters in the Cotswolds, England. The U.K.-based manufacturer has spent more than two decades perfecting its form, developing new designs, components, and technology to push its already-impressive prototype into production territory. The teaser itself offers a glimpse of the Spéirling PURE in a unique shade of green that we’ve never seen before. And while that’s most likely all we’ll see visually before the official reveal, McMurtry has shared that the production model features 95% new components compared to its prototypes. With fewer than 100 examples slotted for production worldwide, the first McMurtry Spéirling PURE deliveries will begin later in 2026. Stay tuned to duPont REGISTRY for the upcoming production debut of McMurtry’s 2,000-horsepower electric hypercar. Source: McMurtry

Inspired by Can-Am racers like the McLaren M1A, the Nichols N1A is a new supercar that combines the power of a Chevrolet V8 engine with ultra-lightweight construction, an analog, driver-focused ethos, and undeniably charming retro-inspired design under the direction of Steve Nichols. After wowing enthusiasts at places like the Concept Lawn of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance last year, Nichols Cars has announced that production of customer N1A examples is now beginning. The transition from prototype to production comes after the supercar has completed an intense development program, focusing on ensuring a purist-catered driving experience. The final phase saw the engineering team painstakingly refine the sense of driver connection and sensory feedback the supercar offers. A final prototype validation before the Nichols CEO, John Minett, signed the development off took place in South Wales, exploring the iconic roads of Bannau Brycheiniog before undergoing a speed test at Pembrey Circuit. The production version of the Nichols N1A weighs under 2,000 pounds, and features the brawn of either a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter Chevrolet V8 with 475 horsepower and 470 lb/ft of torque, or an optional 7.0-liter, naturally aspirated Chevrolet LS7-derived dry sump engine that is hand-built and boasts 700 horsepower and 600 lb/ft of torque. That power comes through a six-speed manual transmission for the ultimate purist experience, which is enhanced even further by an open barchetta body crafted from carbon fiber. Production of the new Nichols N1A supercar is made possible by a new partnership with RML, a specialist in purist-focused, low-volume performance vehicles like the N1A. Only 150 examples are set to be produced, carrying a starting price of approximately $570,000 before taxes. The launch edition, dubbed ‘Icon 88,’ is limited to just 15 examples, each costing roughly $635,000. The special edition honors the 15 victories achieved by the McLaren MP4/4 during the 1988 Formula 1 racing season. As production is beginning for this new exclusive purist performance masterpiece, deliveries are set to take place later this year. View All Exotic Cars For Sale Image Source: Nichols Cars

Kimera Automobili Reveals the 1,000HP K-39, Its First All-Original Hypercar
As the automotive world continues to shift toward tech and hybrid-driven performance, smaller, independent manufacturers are still finding ways to keep driver-focused engineering alive. Kimera Automobili has become one of the biggest names in that niche space over the last few years, huge thanks to its restomod builds of classic rally cars through the EVO37 and EVO38 series. Now, the Italian marque is taking a much bigger step forward with the debut of the Kimera K-39, its first fully engineered hypercar. GALLERY-EMBED The K-39 was just unveiled during the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este along the shores of Lake Como, where Kimera displayed the car alongside the rest of its lineup. Unlike new hypercars entering the market, the K-39 shies away from minimal, futuristic styling in favor of a design influenced by endurance racing from the late 1970s and 1980s. The bodywork is inspired directly by historic race cars that once competed in the World Endurance Championship, with widened quarter panels, a long rear deck, dramatic aero, and an aggressive appearance closer to a Group C race car than a typical hypercar. GALLERY-EMBED One of the most significant parts of the project is its new partnership with Koenigsegg. The K-39 uses a bespoke twin-turbocharged V8 developed specifically for the series, producing 1,000 horsepower and 885 ft-lbs of torque, revving to 8,250 rpm. But Kimera says drivability and responsiveness were just as important as performance numbers. Koenigsegg resized and recalibrated the turbochargers specifically for the K-39 to deliver power more immediately and more efficiently throughout the power band. The engine is also fully emissions-compliant and connected by Koenigsegg’s cloud-based software and over-the-air update systems. GALLERY-EMBED The K-39 also represents a major shift in Kimera's DNA. While the EVO37 and EVO38 were reworked evolutions of existing builds, this is the company’s first entirely independent project, from the chassis and aerodynamics to the engineering underneath. Kimera has also confirmed plans for a dedicated Pikes Peak spec, featuring an additional aero package and track-focused improvements designed solely for the famous hill climb. More than 20 examples of the K-39 are already spoken for before the car’s official public reveal, which speaks volumes for limited-production analog hypercars. Looking past exclusivity and performance, the K-39 comes at a time when many modern cars are becoming too digital and are beginning to lose the true feeling of driving. Kimera is building something centered around sound, mechanics, and motorsport heritage. Whether that recipe continues to resonate long-term remains to be seen, but the K-39 already seems like one of the more interesting hypercar projects entering production.

Meet The Kimera EVO38 Collezione Martini: The 640HP Rally Legend Reborn
There are certain racing liveries that don’t just decorate a car; they define an entire era of motorsport. The iconic stripes of Martini Racing fall directly into that category, carrying decades of rally wins, endurance racing dominance, and a sense of timeless Italian styling that will never be forgotten. On the winding roads of Costa Smeralda, in northeastern Sardinia, Kimera Automobili brings that feeling back into sharp focus with the all-new EVO38 Collezione Martini series, unveiled during the Rally Costa Smeralda Storico – Trofeo Martini 2026. It’s a continuation of a story that began decades ago with Martini Racing and now finds new life in one of the most analog modern recreations of rally-bred sports cars. GALLERY-EMBED From the outside, the EVO38 Collezione Martini stands out like a four-wheel homage to rally design. Every livery, whether it’s Pearl White, Vermouth Red, or Dry Green, channels the distinctive visual DNA of Martini while giving each car its own identity. The exposed carbon fiber and carbon-Kevlar weave mirror Group B-era styling, while center-lock wheels and rally-style lights pay homage to the golden age of endurance and stage racing. New front air intakes and visible dampers sharpen the EVO38’s aggressive stance and showcase its performance-focused mindset. GALLERY-EMBED Inside, the cabin stays true to Kimera’s philosophy: driver-first, distraction-free, and deeply tactile. The cabin avoids unnecessary digital chaos, focusing instead on materials and features that connect the driver to the car itself. Every switch, every surface, and every detail serves a purpose, pulling inspiration from classic rally cars while still delivering the fit and finish expected of a modern bespoke build. Kimera most definitely planned the interior to invite drivers to drive first and admire later, which is exactly the point of the EVO38 Collezione Martini. GALLERY-EMBED Powertrain and performance are where the EVO38 Collezione Martini truly evolves from the previous EVO37. Under the hood is a heavily modified 2.1L four-cylinder engine with twin forced induction, now pushing out an impressive 640 horsepower. Thanks to a new Flex Fuel system, it can run on bioethanol like E85, unlocking even more horsepower while tapping into a forward-thinking strategy to performance. Torque climbs nearly 22 percent to around 516 lb-ft, and the engine now revs to 8,200 rpm with a more immediate throttle response. Weighing in at roughly 2,425lbs, the power-to-weight ratio is optimal, while modern upgrades like a high-pressure intercooler cooling system guarantee consistent power even under extreme conditions. Production, pricing, and availability are as exclusive as you’d expect from a car of this caliber. The EVO38 Collezione Martini is an ultra-exclsuive series within an already limited production run, with only a handful of units still unsold. While pricing hasn’t been shared, expect something well into the seven-figure range given the bespoke nature and engineering involved. And as if that isn’t enough, Kimera Automobili is already teasing what comes next, the K-39, set to debut at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on Lake Como.
