BMW Unveils 2019 M4 DTM Turbo

If you have dreamed of watching new BMW M4s best battle it out on the track, you need to discover the world of DTM. Essentially it is a German version of NASCAR, with factory-backed teams trading paint in epic battles. For the upcoming 2019 season, BMW has dropped the V8 in lieu of a throwback, their 2.0-liter turbo four. The car was given a proper shakedown over the weekend, emerging from the Dingolfing plant with BMW Werks driver Bruno Spengler behind the wheel.2018 BMW M4: Price, Specs, & ReviewMotorsport Director Jens Marquardt said: "BMW Turbo Power has enjoyed success in motor racing for almost 50 years. In the first year with a BMW turbo engine, back in 1969, Dieter Quester was immediately crowned European touring car champion with the BMW 2002 TI. In 1973, the BMW 2002 turbo became the first German production automobile to feature a turbocharger. We are now adding a new chapter to this story in the DTM.It will take a few more revisions and prototypes before the car is ready for homologation. The Class 1 rules will involve changes to the inlets and aerodynamics, and it will be seen in a test race in Estoril, Portugal from November 11th to the 14th. The notion of a featherweight M4 with incredible handling and turbo power is music to our ears, so click the link below to find an M4 for you. Stay with us for all your BMW news. Find Your BMW Here!

BMW Unveils Concept M8 Gran Coupe In Geneva

What happens when you leave BMW's M division run wild? They build the ultimate Bavarian sedan. Unveiled earlier today at the Geneva Motor Show, the new M8 Gran Coupe is their new flagship. With the recent restyling of another certain German sedan, this new design language is a nice departure from the current lineup."The BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupe is designed to stir things up, to polarise – it should move you emotionally," said Domagoj Dukec, Vice President of design. They chose to launch the racing version first, and the M8 GTE ran well at Daytona back in January. The press release also says many of its features like advanced LED headlights and carbon fiber roof panel are making it into production. It seems like only yesterday that the 7 Series was redesigned with its innovative carbon-fiber chassis, but BMW has undoubtedly raised the bar again. The Gran Coupe M8 is still technically a concept, but we hope this is close to the final design. And since the 6 Series coupe and convertible were axed, it is probable that the 8 Series will spawn versions of both.

BMW Unveils The M4 Convertible 30 Jahre Edition

It is hard to believe the M Division of BMW has been building convertibles for three decades. Everyone seems to have a story of the E30 series. The light and nimble E30 M3 lost its top in time for the summer of '88. Convertibles had fallen out of style by the mid 70's, and America's last drop top was the 1976 Eldorado. When Corvette brought back the ragtop in 1988 they were forced to add 500 lbs of chassis bracing to keep it from shaking to death.BMW M5 Drifts For 8 Hours, Breaks Two World Records BMW has never accepted compromises like the other manufacturers. That is why each successive M convertible has been an instant collectible. Knowing how much we love them, BMW has pulled back the curtain on a 30th-anniversary edition. Times have changed, and the 2-door is now the M4 instead of the M3. Only 300 examples of the M4 Convertible 30 Jahre (year) will be produced. It will arrive with 450 hp thanks to the M Sport exhaust. The Adaptive M suspension has been returned to a specific Sport mode for this limited run. Tuning for the Active M differential and the sway bars were also revised.2018 BMW M4: Price, Specs, & Review Only two colors will be offered: Macao Blue Metallic and Mandarin II. Both colors have decades of history with the M division, and they look great riding on the 20" Orbit Grey forged M alloy wheels (also specific to this edition). The interior is full Merino leather, in a color scheme that matches either of the body colors. Of course, the dash will have 30 Jahre Edition badges that feature each car's number of the 300. Spartans would approve of only 300 examples, and we can't wait to put the top down. So tell us your favorite M car story in the comments below and click the link to find an M4 near you.Browse BMW M4 For Sale

BMW Reveals Pricing For The i8 Roadster

It has been two months since BMW formally revealed the convertible version of their hybrid i8. In the meantime, they sent us a 2018 BMW i8 coupe to drive for a week of thrills. It never failed to disappoint, with great handling and hardly using any fuel. To incorporate a disappearing hard top, the rear seats have been lost. Like most other German drop-tops, the action will take place up to 31 mph.Upcoming BMW i8 Roadster Teased All convertibles need extra reinforcements to make up for the folding roof. Instead of simply guessing the corners, BMW chose to 3D print the braces for the ultimate in top-down technology. The top and its mechanism bump the curb weight up by 132 lbs, but this isn't an issue. That's because you still have the 1.5-liter turbocharged three making 228 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque. A fraction of this power is sent to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, but under most circumstances, it is used to power the 141 horsepower electric that makes 184 lb-ft of torque.Pricing for a no-frills roadster will start at $163,300, which arrives without big brakes or laser headlights. Be prepared to spend an additional 10 grand to make it the roadster of your dreams and stay with us for more BMW updates.Browse i8 For Sale
