Hennessey Venom F5: 300mph Rival to the Bugatti Chiron

Watch out Bugatti, because Hennessey Special Vehicles is here with the new Venom F5 and it's looking to be the 300 mph monster we've dreamt about. With this car, Hennessey has set out to do one thing: create the fastest road car on Earth. Watch out, Bugatti Chiron.“We’ve designed F5 to be timeless so that in 25 years it will still have a level of performance and design that will be unmatched,” said John Hennessey, company Founder and CEO. “The F5 is an all-new car, designed and built from the ground up, from the engine to the chassis. We expect the Venom F5, named for the most powerful tornado speed winds on the Fujita scale, to be the first road car capable of achieving more than 300 mph and have worked closely with Pennzoil to get us across the finish line.”The Venom F5's predecessor, the Venom GT, had an insane 1,244 bhp on tap and hit a record-breaking-kind-of top speed of 270.49 mph. Now, the Venom F5 has 1,600 bhp at the ready, which is enough power to propel the hypercar to speeds over 300 mph. This power comes from Hennessey's own twin-turbo V8 engine that's mated to a 7-speed single-clutch transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. Thanks to its light weight of 2,950 lbs and a low-drag coefficient, the Venom F5 will rocket from 0-186 mph in less than 10 seconds-- that's quicker than current Formula 1 race cars. Zero to 249 mph and back to a stop will be accomplished in under 30 seconds, faster than Koenigsegg's current world record.Hennessey Special Vehicles will create 24 examples of the Venom F5 at their Sealy, Texas location and each will cost $1.6 million. Hennessey Performance Venom F5 Aims For 300 MPH

Sometimes the best motivation is inspired by those who say "it is not possible". Engineers told General Chuck Yeager that airplanes would explode if they broke the sound barrier. Condescending male journalists told Nellie Bly she couldn't go "Around the World in 80 Days". So she did it in 72.In an ever-escalating war of top speed, the automotive industry seems to think 300 miles per hour is not achievable with current technologies. Perhaps this is why Hennessey Performance uploaded an image of the upcoming Venom F5 next to a speed limit sign. Just like the people who told him the Venom GT wouldn't go 270 mph, it seems John Hennessey is looking to silence other top speed rumors coming from France.Hennessey Calls Out Bugatti ChironThe goal of the Venom F5 has been to build a street legal American car with 1500 horsepower. The engine will probably be a twin turbo Chevrolet V8, with some of the secret sauce from the Venom GT. To make it a reality, other patriotic brands have stepped up to help with development.  It will be formally revealed at SEMA on November 1st, so tune in to our Facebook Page for video and details. This doesn't mean the other projects are on hold, so check out the VelociRaptor 6x6 if you are in the market for a wild truck. How to Order the Hennessey Exorcist Camaro

Texas is larger than most nations of the world, which is why it is also home to some very fast cars. If you find yourself on Interstate 10 on the west side of Houston, don't challenge anyone to a race. That's because the Exorcist Camaro will have you begging for mercy. Hennessey's rebuke of the Dodge Demon is based on the Camaro ZL1. The transformation involves new cylinder heads, monster camshaft, a new supercharger and high flow stainless headers.  Lifters and pushrods are also replaced in order reach a higher redline. The result is 1,000 horsepower at the crank and a subtle nature when cruising. To show just how tame the Exorcist really is, John took us on an interstate ride to explain the ordering process. Hennessey Performance is not a Chevrolet dealer, but they receive new cars directly from the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant. You can send your new Camaro ZL1 to Texas, or the salespeople at Hennessey will be happy to work with your local dealer to spec-out your new ride.Yes, Camaros are still built to order and certain options are crucial to beating the latest from Mopar. The 10-speed automatic transmission keeps the supercharger in its powerband above 4,000 rpm, making us stick shift driver pay for the privilege of a 3rd pedal. Sit back and watch the Exorcist point to the heavens at the top of each gear and listen to the blower scream. If you want to leave highway traffic standing still, click here for more details and stay with us for more updates from Hennessey Performance.

The Exorcist Camaro From Hennessey Performance

If you or your loved ones find yourselves at the mercy of a Demon, John Hennessey's latest creation will bring forth a deliverance. He teased us a few weeks ago with the name and photos, leaving many to speculate about the details of the build. So in a YouTube upload last night, The Exorcist was strapped to the dyno to measure its power. Dropping a monster cam into the 6.2 liter LT4 would be more than enough to deal with your in-laws or possibly an ex who is off their medication, but something unprecedented is needed to rebuke Dodge's evil creation. Roots superchargers are all the rage because they include the intercooler in a convenient location in the engine valley. But even the most well-engineered examples are limited by their physical size. Also Check Out: Popular Cars That Are Illegal In The USAThat is why Hennessey Performace took a page from the history book and worked with ProCharger to make the largest centrifugal blower we've ever seen. The matte black monster is mounted above the steering column and it sends boost to a front-mounted intercooler that is larger than your radiator. It feeds a carbon-fiber tunnel ram intake that looks like something out of Formula1. No detail was overlooked, as a Crucifix can be found in the graphics and hanging from the rear view mirror. You probably have the Demon's horsepower and torque memorized by now, but those readings were at the flywheel, not the ground. If you factor in drivetrain losses, The Exorcist is among the most powerful cars in the world. Click here to learn more, and stay with us for all your Hennessey updates!

The Exorcist - Hennessey Performance's Dodge Demon Rival

Well, this is amazing.Hennessey Performance (HPE) has an answer for the upcoming Dodge Demon and it's called The Exorcist. No, this isn't the kind of exorcist you'd see on the movie screen that's used on. Instead, it's the kind of exorcism that is looking to exorcise the Demon out of the drag strip. The Exorcist is actually a heavily modified 2017 Chevrolet `Camaro ZL1. Hennessey took the car's LT4 V8 engine and worked some holy spirits into it in the form of a larger supercharger and intercooler system, ported cylinder heads, new camshaft, long-tube stainless steel headers, high-flow air induction system and a custom engine management calibration. All of these modifications have allowed the engine to produce 1000 bhp @ 6,400 rpm and 966 lb-ft of torque @4,400 rpm. Those wanting their own Exorcist can either pick one up as a turnkey vehicle from Hennessey or order one from Chevrolet dealers. Additionally, those who already own a ZL1 Camaro can send their car into HPE for the conversion. The engine upgrade and graphics cost $55,000 and come with a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty. Ther is also an optional drag pack ($8,995) that includes 20-inch wheels shod in 315/30-20 Nitto drag radials, drive shaft upgrade, floor jack and took kit. The road race pack ($6,995) comes with 20-inch lightweight Hennessey wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 wheels.Only 100 examples of The Exorcist will be created each year.Learn More

Battle of the Chevys: 2017 Camaro ZL1 vs Corvette Z06

John Hennessey is not known for leaving anything in stock form. But in order to know how effective his modifications are, it's necessary to know how fast each car is before the transformation. In a new YouTube video uploaded by Hennessey Performance, we have a rare opportunity to see a roll race between a new 2017 Camaro ZL1 and a Corvette Z06. In a rare move by Chevrolet, both cars are rated at 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. The supercharged LT4 V8 is a 6.2 engine with direct injection and an all-aluminum construction. Camaro has a traditional layout of front-engine with the transmission close behind it, but the Corvette has the transmission mounted out back, connected by a torque tube. Since this is the last time both cars will be in factory form, why not see what they are capable of? (Also Watch Hennessey HPE800 Shelby Mustang GT350 is Loud Loud Loud) Depending on options, the Camaro can be anywhere from 300 to 500 pounds heavier than its fiberglass cousin. To simulate a true street race, both cars lined up for a roll race at Hennessey's Lonestar Motorsports Park. Both cars are manual transmission -- the seven-speed Z06 vs a six-speed ZL1. This is a battle of weight, aerodynamics and gear ratios, so tell us who you think should have won. Stay with us, as we will show you what these cars will do once he works his magic with them once they are completed.
