NHTSA Recalls Just Two Bugatti Chirons in US

If you have the means to purchase a new 2018 Bugatti Chiron, it comes with certain services not offered by any other brand. Their flying doctors will travel anywhere except Antarctica to diagnose and repair your car. So when it comes to customer safety, they are willing to go to extreme measures. That is why the side airbags have endured multiple tests. But a new heat shield designed to keep your arm hair intact has allowed some of the gunpowder to burn the seats when the bags go off.How To Perform A $21,000 Bugatti Oil ChangeThe NHTSA report says only two cars in the US have the updated design, so the Bugatti Flying Doctors are en route. The seats will be flown back to the factory in France to receive a new design. The report says "Burn hole in the side airbag could be found following deployment in certain conditions because a heat shield may have been installed in an incorrect position. The population was determined for all delivered cars where the side airbag module has been produced by one individual worker in 2017. After the first test showing a wrong assembly, all other production cars in our possession have been completely checked." Kudos to Bugatti for volunteering this information, customer safety is one of their top priorities, so click the link below to experience one for yourself.Your Bugatti Chiron Is Here

James Glickenhaus Unveils the Retro SCG006

We literally bumped into Mr. Glickenhaus at the Amelia Island Concours this year. He told us something new was in the works. We figured it would be an evolution of his SCG003, but this one took us by surprise. Uploaded to Facebook this morning are the first renderings of the SCG006. This retro ride will have a carbon fiber body with the Corvette Z06's supercharged V8.His team at Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus never does anything arbitrary. Every inch of this car is modeled and tested in a virtual world before the first part is made. At first glance, we see strong Ferrari and Pininfarina influences along with exhaust from the Corvette Mako Shark concept. 1961 Mako Shark Corvette Concept With Its Designer Bill MitchellPricing will start at $250,000, and each car will have a 17-digit US VIN. The LT4 engine is easily capable of 1,000 horsepower with a weekend of upgrades, so we hope those headers will be made of titanium. A retro roadster with modern power and aerodynamics? Sign us up! Ford Is Planning to Re-Open GT Applications

One of the best ways to sell a car is to tell someone they can't have it. That bit of genius was relayed to me from one of our clients who has a keen sense of what a true buyer is willing to do. Just like Ferrari did with the Enzo and the LaFerrari, you can't simply walk into a Ford Dealer and order your Ford GT. The application process for the first batch of 750 cars involved videos, a background check, and other research done by Dearborn.Accepted for a 2017 Ford GT, Including OptionsThis was done to make sure the buyer would be a good brand ambassador for the Blue Oval's supercar. Nevertheless, over 6,000 people applied to be one of the chosen. And it looks like they will have a chance to try again, as reported by MotorAuthority. It might seem silly to make us do it all over again, but it levels the playing field for those looking to spend $450,000.It might be pure speculation, but a new Heritage Edition might be the reasoning behind it. The 2017 example was black, 2018 was red, so the 2019 car will likely revive the Gulf racing blue and orange livery. Given the car's incredible performance on the world stage, we wonder who will be accepted this time around. Tell us what you think of the Ford GT, or find a great deal on a pre-owned one in the link below.Find Your Ford GT HereWhat's the Price of the New Ford GT? Find Out Here!
