If you have been good all year, Santa might leave you a wild upgrade package for your McLaren 720S. Our friends at Novitec are never first to market when a new car arrives. McLaren 720S Specs

By Edward Jones –  November 14, 2018

McLaren 720S Specs, Price, Photos & Review

Well, it's finally happened after multiple leaks: the McLaren 720S specs have been revealed. The McLaren 720S comes in as the second-generation Super Series supercar that outperforms the 650S and 650S Spider in just about every facet. First off, I'll get right to the engine. It's powered by a new twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 710 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque. With this much power, along with a dry weight of just 2,828 lbs, the 720S has a power-to-weight ratio of 0.251 horsepower per 1 lbs. With this power and lightweight, the 720S will rocket from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and 0-124 mph in 7.8 seconds. Top speed is also set at 212 mph. “Super Series is the core of the McLaren business and personifies the blend of extreme performance, crafted luxury and unparalleled driver involvement that is the McLaren heartland. This is the first time we have replaced a product family and the new 720S is absolutely true to McLaren’s pioneering spirit in being a revolutionary leap forwards, both for our brand and the supercar segment.” - Mike Flewitt, Chief Executive Officer, McLaren Automotive Helping with the light properties of the new 720S supercar is the McLaren Monocage II. This carbon fiber "tub" and upper structure provide superior rigidity without sacrificing in the weight department. Additionally, McLaren also uses aluminum alloys in the chassis and some body panels for weight reduction purposes as well. " width="680"> One of my personal favorite aspects of the car has to be the Folding Driver Display, which can transform in order to provide the driver with two different instrument displays. The standard display shows what you'd expect, giving a full readout of instruments, while the "streamlined version" only provides the necessities in a slim strip. " width="680"> The new McLaren 720S will be available in three different specs: Standard, Performance, and Luxury. The start price is set at £208,600 (~ $254,000 USD) and deliveries started in May 2017. McLaren Introduces "Albert", the 1st Speedtail Prototype

Before any new McLaren reaches the dealer, it is perfected by rigorous testing around the world. American prototypes usually have silly names, but McLaren took a page from the history books. The first test mules for the F1 were named Edward and Albert, names associated with Victorian nobility.  We've now learned that testing for the new McLaren Speedtail on closed courses is already underway thanks to the prototype named "Albert." Albert faces a year of sustained top speed runs, scorching desert and freezing cold. The world's first flexible carbon ailerons will be cycled until failure, no matter how long it takes. A few early prototypes were disguised as 720S to fool the public, and they have probably met a tragic ending.  Check Out Jay Leno's Collection! Much of the car has been proven in lengthy simulations. This ensures that Chief Test Driver Kenny Bräck will be able to make the most of  1,035 horsepower. Ben Gulliver is Head of Vehicle Development, and he said:  “The start of real-world testing represents a major step in the development of the McLaren Speedtail. As the first fully representative prototype, ‘Albert’ will build on the invaluable work still being put in by earlier development cars, allowing us to sign-off vehicle attributes including chassis dynamics; brake performance; damper tuning; tires; NVH and aspects of ergonomics and comfort. With a huge amount achieved already, the McLaren Speedtail is well on the way to fulfilling its destiny as the greatest McLaren road car ever.” Pricing is listed at £1.75 million, or$ 2.28 Million USD. Only 106 cars will be produced with deliveries aimed at early 2020. Of course every example has been allotted to its prospective owner, but they are probably going to be the most anticipated car in years. Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus Announces New Factory

Motion picture and financial mogul James Glickenhaus has a car collection that will blow your mind. In addition to his custom builds by Pininfarina, he has been granted a low-volume manufacturer license by the NHTSA. This green light will allow them to build up to 325 cars each year.  James Glickenhaus Teases the SCG004C But their existing headquarter in Sleepy Hollow, NY is more famous for the Headless Horseman than hypercar manufacturing. So Jesse Glickenhaus and his father have their eyes on a spot near Danbury, CT. In an exclusive with Jalopnik, the facility is only 45 minutes from home, and it could potentially be solar powered. This would translate to 15 cars a week instead of one a month. The goal is 50 cars per month, to meet the wild demand for the SCG003 series and the SCG004S. We also hope it includes the rugged SCG 2DR Boot for the 4WD enthusiasts among us.  " width="680"> Browse Exotic Cars For Sale Glickenhaus SCG004S With Nissan GT-R Engine Great Incentives on Porsche 911 GT3

Superformance Future 40 (19)

By Andrew Nabors –  November 01, 2018

Superformance "Future Forty" GT40 is an evil EcoBoost

If you like the looks of the original GT40, Superformance is still cranking out exact replicas of the car that won LeMans. The proven chassis has seen every version of small and big-block Ford V8, but our friends at Superformance have cooked up something spicy. They have combined a new example of the GT40 MKI with the engine from a new Ford GT. Without need for noise or emissions compliance, the Future Forty has straight pipes from the turbos and wastegates. Ford GT Specs, Price, Photos & Review The first start of this beast shows a little blow-by coming from the catch can, but once the rings are seated it will undoubtedly run laps around Ford's latest supercar. Our friends at Motor1 uploaded this exclusive film, but horsepower and torque numbers have not been finalized. Considering that Ken Block's new Hoonitruck is almost 1,000 horsepower, it is safe to say the 3.5-liter EcoBoost is a versatile monster in any application. It is on display at SEMA  in the Magnaflow Booth #23543. Click the link below to find your Ford GT and stay with us for more details on the Future Forty. View All Ford GT For Sale

MOPAR Unveils the 1,000 HP Hellephant Super Charger at SEMA

What happens when designers and engineers are unleashed? Fiat-Chrysler asked their team at MOPAR Performance to put a modern twist on a 1968 Dodge Charger. Digging into the Challenger Hellcat's inventory yielded modern accessories and an evil demeanor. The "Super Charger" has a modern interior with unique logos found throughout. Built for SEMA, the "Hellephant" can be found on the fuel filler, steering wheel, and other areas as hidden Easter eggs. The significance of the logo is the beast under the hood. Using the supercharger from the Dodge Demon, they have pushed the legendary 426 HEMI to 1,000 horsepower. This 7-liter monster is a modern interpretation of the Mopar V8 that was banned by NASCAR for winning every weekend. The car might be a concept, but the engine and its controls are now for sale. Dodge SRT Challenger Hellcat Specs, Price, Photos & Review The Hellephant crate engine arrives with all the electronics including O2 sensors, a gas pedal, and the complete Can-Bus system. Designed for use with the Challenger's stock six-speed manual transmission, you will have 950 lb-ft of torque at your command. If your slant-six or 440 is tired, send it to the crusher and head over to cratehemi.com for all the details. Learn More https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=14&v=RoTSnElu6s8

Starwood Unveils the JL Bandit

Jeep has a lot riding on the 2019 Wrangler, literally. The new JL platform is the basis for one of Fiat-Chrysler's most popular models, and it has forced the aftermarket to develop a new line of parts & accessories. Our friends at Starwood Motors have been hard at work adapting their methods and fabrications to fit the new JL chassis, and their latest builds are now on the World Stage. The first JL Bandit pickup starts with 8-lug Method Race bead-lock wheels. They are wrapped in BFG Baja T/A rubber and bolted to 1-ton Dynatrac axles. Starwood and WFO Concepts partnered to develop a 4-corner long arm suspension. Rigid Industries LED lights can be seen atop the windshield, and built into the BodyGuard fabricated bumpers. Under the hood is a new SRT8 6.4-liter Hemi backed by an automatic transmission. The Ubiquitous Jeep touchscreen has been replaced by a gorgeous Alpine infotainment system. The amps and subs are hidden to give you more room to haul your gear. Behind the rear seats is a bed of laser-cut steel. The new Bandit has the ability to haul anything you need, and thanks to Starwood's proprietary body coating it will be rust free for years. No detail was overlooked, as BodyGuard also added rock sliders that are integrated as chassis stiffeners. These matte black running boards have mounts sandwiched between the body bushings, the improvement in ride quality is worth much more than a fancy step bar. Other BodyGuard accessories are seen in on the cowl around the wipers, and in the Warn winch inside the front bumper. Of course, Starwood builds each example to order, so stop by BodyGuard's booth (#35221) at SEMA for all the details on the new JL Bandit.
