Meet The All-New Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Race Car

The journey from track-inspired supercars to full-blown race cars is a thrilling evolution, showcasing the true capabilities of these high-performance machines when you shed some weight and add some power. Thanks to manufacturer race programs like Aston Martin Racing, these non-road-legal versions of their regular production siblings are dominating the track. Perfectly in tune with the debut of the all-new Vantage road car, the team at Aston Martin is proud to spearhead a new era of top-flight GT racing with its launch of the new Vantage GT3. Its debut comes as the successor to Aston Martin's ultra-successful and recently retired Vantage GTE and GT3 cars. Aston Martin From the outside, the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 takes on a fresh new look while incorporating iconic and timeless design characteristics that the British marque is known for. With the addition of extreme downforce-generation aerodynamics, the Vantage GT3 stays glued on the strays while maintaining its nimbleness through the corners. The most noticeable feature is a new nose design that gives the AMR team the ability to increase cooling going to the brakes for more consistent laps at Le Mans. Sharing the same mechanical architecture as the Vantage GTE and GT3, the Vantage GT3 is powered by Aston Martin's famous 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8, along with an updated suspension and state-of-the-art electronics. Aston Martin Underneath its aggressive, lightweight exterior, the Vantage GT3 boasts an array of features aimed at improving its overall performance and stability. A full-width laser light and a strategically designed splitter work in tandem to adjust aerodynamics, shifting the center of pressure to increase handling and reduce sensitivity to changes in pitch. Through the use of strategically placed louvers, high-pressure air from the wheel arches is vented out to decrease lift and drag. Aligning with the abiding the strict standards of the FIA GT3 class and the newly introduced LMGT3 category for 2024, the Vantage GT3 positions itself as a contender on the global motorsports stage. It's set to compete across a range of legendary racing series, from the FIA World Endurance Championship to the Nürburgring Langstrecken Series. Aston Martin Aston Martin's latest track beast marks a groundbreaking collaboration between Aston Martin Racing and Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT). It's all about blending the best of Aston's brainpower with AMR's exceptional GT expertise. The goal? To combine the GT racing circuit into a fuel-driven R&D lab, promising a trickle-down track design, performance, and technology into Aston's future road cars. The Vantage GT3 tackles the predecessor's faults head-on, aiming for peak drivability for pros and amateurs. After surviving a brutal 30-hour test and earning high praise for its speed, forgiveness, and adaptability, it's clear this GT3 is a finely tuned athlete ready to dominate the demanding world of GT racing. The 2025 Aston Martin Vantage Is More Than A Refresh

Although spy shots published over the last 12 months hinted at the 2025 Aston Martin Vantage being, like the DB12, more of a refresh than an all-new car, no one could've predicted just how far the British marque would push it. Today's announcement officially unveiling the car confirms that Aston didn't just lightly update the Vantage. Instead, it implemented a long list of significant changes, all in the pursuit of turning its sports car into a proper driver's car. The new Vantage sets out to correct the shortcomings that kept its predecessor from becoming a true segment leader. Its twin-turbo V8 now produces a massive 656 horsepower while its suspension and chassis receive major revisions to handle the extra output. Inside, its cabin gets a ground-up redesign, complete with a tech suite that finally allows the Vantage to compete with the industry's best. On the outside, Aston's sports car benefits from heavily restyled bodywork that delivers a more aggressive take on the brand's elegant styling cues. On paper, it seems Aston Martin has given the new Vantage plenty of firepower to be more than just competitive. Although the 2025 Aston Martin Vantage carries over some of its predecessor's bodywork, like portions of its rear end, its front sports a clean-sheet design. Aside from its body being 1.2 inches wider than that of the car it replaces, Aston adorned it with a front grille that is 38 percent larger, improving airflow by 29 percent. Two smaller intakes flank it and route cool air to this car's redesigned cooling system. A new set of Matrix LED headlights, a redesigned hood, and wider fenders round out the exterior changes up front. The Vantage now comes standard with 21-inch wheels to support its more aggressive bodywork. Along the sides of the car, a prominent body line contours the air as it exits the front wheel well, accented by frameless door mirrors and redesigned presenting door handles. Towards the back, the Vantage gets a wider rear bumper with larger air vents and bigger exhaust tips. As we've seen with other luxury brands, Aston Martin expanded customization options through its Q program, allowing buyers to create more unique builds. These options build on top of the Vantage's 21 standard colors. The new Vantage carries over its predecessor's twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8. However, thanks to larger turbochargers, modified cam profiles, updated compression ratios, and a redesigned cooling system, it now develops 656 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. That's 153 hp and 85 pound-feet over its predecessor, confirming that some of the engine upgrades that make the DBX 707 so powerful have begun to trickle down. The Vantage remains a rear-wheel drive-only sports car. A ZF eight-speed automatic sends all of its power to the back tires, allowing it to sprint to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and top out at 202 mph. Performance stats aside, Aston shortened its final drive ratio to improve acceleration and driver enjoyment. Meanwhile, a new launch control system, coupled with an electronic differential, allows drivers to dial in how much wheel slip they'd like via a new adjustable traction control system. The outgoing car's greatest limitation was its handling. Although the previous Vantage produced tons of power, it struggled to put down or confidently tackle twisty roads. In response, Aston significantly stiffened the Vantage's chassis with components that link its front suspension towers like its updated engine cross brace. The rear towers receive a similar treatment and revisions to the car's front and rear undertrays. According to Aston, these updates give the new Vantage a 50:50 weight distribution and improved handling balance and driver feedback. To capitalize on the added torsional rigidity, the Vantage receives Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers, an electronic rear differential, and model-specific Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tires measuring 275/35 upfront and 325/30 in the rear. 15.8 and 14.2-inch cast-iron brakes come standard, along with a retuned brake booster to deliver a firmer pedal and improved response. Carbon ceramic brakes are available as an optional extra and reduce unsprung weight by around 60 pounds. Inside, the 2025 Aston Martin Vantage sports a completely redesigned interior. Styled similarly to the DB12's this new cabin sports new seat options, a vastly updated tech suite, and improved materials. As standard, the Vantage benefits from a new 10.25-inch central touchscreen that finally supports Apple CarPlay connectivity, although the carmaker has yet to announce Android Auto compatibility. It runs Aston's new in-house infotainment system, which first debuted in the DB12. The angled center display complements a new digital instrument cluster and a redesigned center console that benefits from a more streamlined layout. Calling the 2025 Aston Martin Vantage just a refresh is an understatement. The British carmaker has gone to great lengths to update this car's exterior styling, powertrain, and cabin, creating an all-new car without technically doing so. Although the carmaker has yet to announce official pricing figures, the Vantage is expected to enter production in Q1 2024 with deliveries expected to begin in Q2 2024.

The luxury automotive giant is preparing its racing prototype of the ultimate hypercar, the Aston Martin Valkyrie, for a daunting challenge. The goal? Complete victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, set for 2025. Aston Martin’s involvement in the 24 Hours of Le Mans isn't a new chapter in their illustrious history. Their cars have seen action and triumph at Le Mans since the race's inception. Aston Martin’s association with this legendary event dates back to 1924, a mere five years after the inaugural race. It’s one of the most ambitious performance machines to wear the historic Aston Martin badge. The heart of this beast, a Cosworth-built 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, thunders with over 1000 horsepower. In its race-optimized version, the Valkyrie is set to drop jaws not just for its performance but its ties to its road car variant, a rarity in this echelon of racing. Heart of Racing , Aston Martin’s championship-winning endurance racing partner, will be at the forefront of this ambitious undertaking. They will be leading the charge by entering the Valkyrie racecar in top endurance events, including the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Their dedication to Aston Martin’s racing legacy is unwavering, and their involvement in this project is a testament to their commitment to the brand and the sport. Gabe Newell, the American entrepreneur behind HoR, has been an integral supporter of Aston Martin’s racing endeavors. His team has been with Aston Martin since its inception and has seen significant success, including a class victory at the Rolex 24. The bond between Aston Martin and HoR is one of shared vision, passion, and dedication to excellence in motorsport. In the words of Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin Lagonda, “Performance is the lifeblood of everything that we do at Aston Martin." Their return to the zenith of endurance racing will not just be a testament to their commitment to performance but will also forge deeper connections with their loyal fanbase and community. Aston Martin Reveals That Production Of The F1-Inspired V...

Aston Martin's Valhalla mid-engine supercar is utilizing Formula 1 technology, slated for production in 2024. The Aston Martin Valhalla is starting to emerge as the road and track weapon it was designed to be, thanks to its strategic use of Formula 1 technology and performance. Unveiled as the brand’s first series production mid-engine supercar, the Valhalla aims to deliver a truly exceptional driving experience. Collaborating closely with the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One team (AMF1), Aston Martin is blending race-proven expertise with its signature luxury to create the ultimate supercar. Marco Mattiacci, Global Chief Brand and Commercial Officer of Aston Martin emphasized the exchange between Aston Martin's road car engineers and AMF1's F1 engineering capabilities focused on three key areas: dynamics, aerodynamics, and materials. The driving dynamics of the Valhalla have been fine-tuned through track-inspired simulations. Astonishingly, 90% of its dynamic features were completed in simulation, with real-world testing reserved for the final development phase. Valhalla’s aerodynamics come directly from F1's book, utilizing an active aerodynamic system to achieve over 1,323 pounds of downforce at 149 mph. In terms of high-tech materials, AMPT and AMF1 have shared their know-how in crafting carbon-fiber structures to create an incredibly stiff, strong, and lightweight chassis for Valhalla. Powering the Valhalla is a bespoke twin-turbo flat-plane V8 engine, assisted by three e-motors, to produce an impressive 998 horsepower through a hybrid all-wheel-drive powertrain. Additionally, the Valhalla is also part of Aston Martin's broader strategy to transition to hybrid and electric vehicles. Scheduled to hit the roads as a running prototype later this year, the Valhalla aims to set a new benchmark in supercar performance when it enters production in 2024.
