Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo: From Video Game to Real Life

Electric cars have played center-stage in several high-voltage incidents lately. Perhaps that's why VW's brands have been reticent to jump on the battery bandwagon. With models like the Porsche Mission E and the Audi e-tron series nearing completion, the new Vision Gran Turismo concept is straight outta Sony.

Audi R8 e-tron Spotted Testing in Germany

Working with Playstation engineers, Audi has unveiled a real-life version of their e-tron coupe from the Gran Turismo game franchise. In a press release early this morning, we've learned the e-tron Vision Gran Turismo will serve as the Race Taxi for the remainder of this year's Formula E racing series. Audi was the first brand to enter Formula E last year, taking lessons learned from the A3 e-tron Sportback and a few top-secret prototypes.
