2022 Audi RS E-tron GT & E-tron GT Quattro Unveiled

Yesterday the online reveal was one for the ages, and now we are pleased to announce that the 2022 Audi RS e-tron GT and the e-tron GT quattro have been revealed. First and foremost, Audi wants everyone to know e-tron is always spelled in lower-case but that's a story for another day. The big news is in the details shared by both new cars. The e-tron makes use of an 85 kWh system and All Wheel Drive. Focused on performance, the RS model offers 637 horsepower. While it shares the same 235-horsepower front motor, the inclusion of a brief "overboost" ups the voltage for a few seconds. Reaching 60 mph in 3.1 seconds is no easy task, but it looks effortless with 612 lb-ft of torque at all wheels. The quattro model (base model) is tame by comparison, offering 350 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. By restricting the 800-volt battery it is able to reach 302 miles on a single charge. A 5-minute stop at a DC quick charger will add 62 miles of range in 5 minutes - this is the future we were promised! While it shares inspiration from Porsche, tell us if it can set records at Road Atlanta in the comments below. Audi E-tron For Sale Images (C) Audi USA
