Crewe, England, is known in the automotive world as the historic home of Bentley Motors, where the ultra-luxury manufacturer crafts its highly innovative creations, and also where, for decades, Bentley has shaped its identity of timeless elegance in the form of its automobiles. This year marks the 80th anniversary of Bentley’s presence in Crewe, since the first Bentley rolled off the Pyms Lane production line in 1946.
To celebrate that anniversary, Bentley gathered over 100 customer cars spanning the history of the brand at its headquarters, and also unveiled a new, unique vehicle, celebrating a milestone with its signature bespoke craftsmanship and ultra-luxurious design. In addition to the 80th anniversary, the Bentley Drivers Club also celebrated its 90th anniversary at the event, adding even more serendipity to the occasion.
The new bespoke car, a Continental GTC, is finished in a bespoke Purple Supernova Ombre exterior finish, commissioned through Mulliner and developed in collaboration between Bentley's Paint Shop and the manufacturer’s CMF/Bespoke teams. The exterior gracefully fades from Supernova Purple to Supernova Purple Dark, and also features a side graphic reading ‘80’ in the reverse gradient.

The interior features embroidered headrests with ‘80,’ as well as a bespoke airbrushed graphic on the fascia showing Bentley’s Design Studio, along with a celebration of the past eight decades Bentley has spent manufacturing cars in Crewe.
Meanwhile, the other cars that gathered at Crewe for the celebration included historic examples like the EXP3, the first-ever Bentley customer car, Blowers, Derby-era cars, and modern examples like the Bentayga. Today, Bentley not only remains in Crewe, but continues to invest in its home there, introducing new technology and manufacturing capabilities, and preparing to produce its first production BEV, the upcoming Torcal. After 80 years, Bentley is planting its roots deeper in Crewe, England, and a new stunning and bespoke Continental GTC marks that incredible milestone.
