While Bentley Motors can look back on over a century of automotive excellence, including motorsport heroes and ultra-luxury icons, it is also unabashedly looking towards the future. Its current lineup combines classic elegance and artisan craftsmanship with cutting-edge engineering like hybrid powertrains and high-tech features. As Bentley continues to evolve as a manufacturer, one of its latest achievements is inaugurating a new paint shop at its historic home in Crewe, England.
The state-of-the-art facility gives Bentley the ability to do more than it’s ever done before when it comes to exterior finishes, and as personalization has become an increasingly important factor in the historic manufacturer’s expression of automotive ultra-luxury, Bentley’s palette of exterior finishes has been steadily increasing to serve its most discerning customers.
Recently, Bentley introduced its ‘Ombré’ paint finish, giving cars a stunning and perfectly transitioned color gradient from front to back. The finish requires painstaking paint application and special techniques, and the palette of available colors has recently been expanded. Now, another special exterior finish has been launched along with the start of operations for Bentley’s new paint shop, and it’s called Spectraflair.

A one-of-one Bentley Continental GT S is the vehicle that launches the new Spectraflair finish, as the Bentley Continental GT, GTC, and Flying Spur are the first cars to be painted in the new shop, along with the upcoming first battery-electric Bentley that will be unveiled later this year. The Bentayga is set to join the other models in the new paint shop in the near future.
The Spectraflair color on the one-off Continental GT S is a reimagination of Bentley’s ‘Verdant’ exterior color, transforming it into ‘Spectral Verdant,’ which showcases a dazzling array of various colors in natural light. Along with the color, the one-off Continental features a Union Flag racing stripe in Ghost White Pearlescent, which was hand-sprayed in a process that took several days. Available as part of the ‘By Mulliner’ extended paint range, customers can opt for a Spectraflair finish, already able to take advantage of the enhanced paint capabilities of Bentley’s new state-of-the-art paint shop, making its ultra-luxury vehicles even more special.
