The car world and its niches have always been shaped and preserved by a strong sense of community, whether it be the passion and nostalgia of American muscle or the dream driven by poster JDM cars. Nonetheless, manufacturers have caught on to the power of the car community as a whole, honing in on opinions and suggestions to improve and evolve. Bentley Motors recently tapped into one of the world’s iconic car scenes, bringing its latest two-door models to Tokyo for a multi-day city excursion to celebrate the brand’s long-standing presence in Japan. Bentley took the opportunity to take over the Tokyo Tower on Saturday night as part of the regional debut of the new Continental GT S and Continental Supersports. The tower itself was illuminated in Bentley Green with its emblem projected from the viewing deck overlooking all of Tokyo. Below, more than 100 VIP guests gathered to witness the debut of the Bentley ‘Pymkhana’ car that was driven by Travis Pastrana for the Supersports: FULL SEND film.Prior to the exclusive VIP debut, the Supersports made an appearance at Daikoku Parking Area, known famously for transforming into an incredible car meet featuring everything from JDM icons and vintage classics to modern supercars and hypercars. For the occasion, the car was fitted with green underglow that matched its accent color and wheels, giving it a Tokyo-inspired look as it rolled into the meet. The following night shifted to the streets of Shinjuku, where Bentley hosted an event alongside creative director Mai Ikuzawa that welcomed enthusiasts from every corner of Tokyo's car scene. Supercars, classic cars, and one-off builds filled every space while owners traded stories, captured content, and enjoyed live music, food, and drinks. A Continental GT S showed off a special wrap inspired by the Hayabusa Shinkansen, Japan's famous high-speed train connecting Tokyo and Hakodate. With a presence in Japan that now spans over six decades, Bentley Motors has definitely recognized the region as a hot spot for its global distribution, making it a must-stop on future tours and debuts.
