Continental GT Breaks Record at Pikes Peak (1)

By Andrew Nabors –  July 01, 2019

Bentley Continental GT Sets New Pike's Peak Record Time

Pike's Peak tops out at over 14,100 feet, so getting to the top is never an easy task. It was an amazing achievement for the Bentayga to break the SUV record last year, and they decided to go for a bigger prize. With Rhys Millen behind the wheel, the 2019 Bentley Continental GT set a new Pike's Peak record time. No, it wasn't a record for luxury coupes or twelve-cylinder engines. Bentley now holds the record for the fastest production car. The fastest car ever was the VW I.D. R, which ran a 7.57.148 on battery power. Their luxury division wasn't far behind, with Millen crossing the line in only 10.18.488. Not only is it 8.4 seconds faster than the old record, but he also averaged 70 mph from start to finish. From someone who lives at sea level, the drive is quite scary once you are above the treeline. It takes a few days to prepare for the lack of oxygen, which has been the cause of many high-altitude incidents. In order to negate this, the Continental GT is all new for 2019, and that includes the twin-turbo 6.0L W12 engine. The intake is more linear and the turbos gained computer-controlled wastegates. The driver was kept level by the new 48-volt roll-control system. It allowed him to make use of 664 lb-ft of torque that's available between 1,350 and 4,500 rpm. It also offers 626 horsepower...simply mind-boggling. If you don't need Thor's Hammer on a daily basis, the 2020 Bentley Continental GT V8 has 542 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque. Bentley x Graf von Faber-Castell Pens Revealed for 100th ...

Bentley Motors is celebrating its 100th anniversary on July 10, 2019, and they're celebrating in many ways. The most recently unveiled form of celebration from the English automaker is a set of limited edition pens created in collaboration with Graf von Faber-Castell. The "Limited Edition Centenary" pens from Graf von Faber-Castell are the second line of pens released since the collaboration between them and Bentley started. There are three pens in this line of Bentley pens, each with a different style of ink distribution: fountain, rollerball and ballpoint. They come in a black color with metal parts. For the fountain pen, the barrel and nib have an anthracite-color PVD coating made out of titanium. Graf von Faber-Castell also included a few distinctive Bentley touches, like the diamond quilt pattern, knurling and Bentley "B" on the top of the cap. Prices are as follows: £530 (~$674 USD) for the fountain pen, £490 (~$623 USD) for the rollerball pen and £450 (~$572 USD) for the ballpoint pen. They will be available on July 1, 2019 on Bentley's online store. See All Bentley For Sale Rollerball Pen Ballpoint Pen Fountain Pen

Bentley Motors is once again celebrating their heritage with a new model. Introducing the new Continental GT Convertible Number 1 Edition by Mulliner. That's quite the name. However, the name makes sense when you learn that this car specifically honors the No. 1 Bentley Blower from 1929. Only 100 examples of this limited edition Bentley will be created. It can be ordered in either Dragon Red II (not to be confused with Dragon Red I) or Beluga. The roof can also come in either Claret of Beluga. Each edition comes with the Centenary Pack, Bentley Black Line Specification and Carbon Body Kit as standard, as well as the painted Number "1" on the grille. Bentley is set to celebrate their centenary on July 10, 2019. Mark your calendars now. See All Bentley Continentals For Sale

New Bentley Flying Spur 2 (1)

By Andrew Nabors –  June 11, 2019

2020 Bentley Flying Spur is Automotive Perfection

Launching an all-new car has to be done right. For the 3rd generation of the Flying Spur, Bentley has pulled out all the stops. What has emerged from their headquarters in Crewe is ready to elevate the brand into uncharted territory. Get ready to be amazed, because the 2020 Bentley Flying Spur is Automotive Perfection. Built by hand, it combines the best in old-world skills and the latest in technology. Starting with a new hood emblem, the Flying B disappears when parked. Under the sculpted hood is a revised 6.0L W12 with twin turbos. It sends 626 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque to all wheels. To keep your tea from spilling, it is the first Bentley to have 3-chamber air suspension at all corners. The chassis is a mix of aluminum and composites, stronger and lighter than its predecessor. Moving the wheels out to the corners, the wheelbase is 130mm longer. All Wheel Steering is also standard, so this will be an incredibly smooth ride. Tell your driver to go wide open and you will be cruising at 207 mph. Reaching 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, the new Flying Spur could also chop down the leader board at the local dragstrip. Of course the interior offers thousands of leather and wood combinations, and the best feature is the instrument cluster. The center dash houses 3 analog gauges and it rotates to reveal an HD display that is configurable by the driver. Tell your manservant to click below to find a Flying Spur near you, and our dealers will answer all of your questions. Stay with us for all your Bentley news. Bentley is Ready to Break the Pikes Peak Production Car R...

Bentley Motors is motoring right on ahead as they get closer to their Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC) attempt. Their goal is to break the production car record with their new Continental GT. Currently, the record sits at 10:26.9, but that won't deter Bentley. In fact, just last year they broke the production SUV record at Pikes Peak with a time of 10:49.9. That's not far off from the current production car record, and I'd imagine the Continental GT could drastically cut that time. Putting the odds even more in their favor is the driver, who will be none other than Rhys Millen. With a nickname like "King of the Mountain," he's the perfect driver for the attempt. Rhys Millen and the Bentley Continental GT he will be driving. "We have taken much learning from our successful visit to Pikes Peak last year with the Bentley Bentayga and applied it to our preparations this time around,"said Bentley’s Director of Motorsport, Brian Gush. "We are proud to demonstrate the Continental GT’s breadth of abilities in competition on a global stage." The Bentley Continental GT's record attempt will take place on June 30. Bentley Centenary Opus (9)

Bentley Centenary Opus 100 Carat Edition: A $250,000 Book

The new Bentley Centenary Opus has been revealed as the "heaviest book ever produced telling the story of an automotive brand," according to the Bentley. Weighing in at 66 lbs, that's a stat that's not hard to believe. While the weight is astounding, it's the price of one of these versions that's even more notable. Opus, the specialty luxury book publisher, is releasing three different versions of this book: Mulliner, the Centenary and 100 Carat (pictured above). Here's the breakdown of each of the limited edition books: Mulliner Edition – 100 copies: £12,500 per copy (~$16,000 USD) Centenary Edition – 500 copies: £3,000 per copy (~$3,800 USD) 100 Carat Edition – 7 copies: £200,000 per copy (~$255,000 USD) Yes, you read that correctly: the 100 Carat Edition will cost a quarter of a million dollars. For that price, the seven buyers will be getting 100 carats worth of diamonds adorning the book and a badge made of either white gold or platinum. Inside each of the books is 800 pages filled with the past 100 years of Bentley's history and a look into their future. The book begins with an introduction by Ralph Lauren, the fashion icon, and it ends with a chapter from Adrian Hallmark, Bentley's chairman and CEO. There are also incredible photos within the pages, including some never-before-seen imagery and photography that's exclusive to this book. There are even giant 20 in x 24 in Polaroid Portraits in the pages, marking the first time the world's largest Polaroid camera has been used to capture photos of automobiles. The cherry on top, if the diamonds weren't enough, is a special "tailor-made" bespoke option for the book. This allows owners to have their own photos used in the bespoke section of their book. Owners can also have Opus photograph their Bentleys for inclusion in their books. You can learn more about this extravagant book on Opus' site by clicking the below. VISIT THISISOPUS.COM

New Flying Spur 3D Leather (2)

By Andrew Nabors –  May 16, 2019

More Bentley Flying Spur Teasers

Last month we saw the first footage of a new Bentley. It has been a long time coming, and it looks to be a clean-sheet redesign. The aforementioned film was just a glimpse of the new hood ornament, and today we received the first interior shots. More Bentley Flying Spur teasers will follow until it arrives, so its time to trade in your old sedan. Starting with the name, this car was once known as the Continental Flying Spur. The prefix was dropped in 2015 because the coupe and convertible have evolved away from their common ancestor. The press release says it will be a combination of Sports Sedan and Luxury Limousine. It will be the first automotive use of 3D textured leather, so this could shake up the luxury market. We will be following it closely, so stay with us for all your Flying Spur updates. Bentley Continental GT Tank: What the World Didn't Know i...

The Bentley Continental GT is a true luxury vehicle. On the outside, it's sleek and stylish with curves that progress along the entire length of the vehicle. Inside, it's like a mansion on-the-go, filled with plush leather and plenty of amenities to pamper the passengers and driver. But... what if someone were to remove the wheels and fit this English luxury vehicle with some tracks? Well, you'd have the Bentley tank we never knew we needed. YouTube channel AcademeG put together this wonderful Continental GT tank and I can't thank them enough for doing so. Seeing the makeshift tank in action is truly a sight to behold. The YouTube channel has videos detailing the build process, which are in Russian but there are English subtitles available. It's all worth the watch. Again, I want to send a "thank you" to AcademeG for building this inconceivable, yet astounding creation. shop bentleys for sale Also Check Out: Rezvani Tank Military Edition is as Tough as Nails Ripsaw EV2 is a Mean and Luxurious Super Tank Via Road and Track

Bentley Unveils Continental GT Convertible Inspired by Ba...

Sometimes a car is just a car, but this one hits a few nerves. Mulliner is Bentley's custom shop, and they will build anything you wish for. Their past works include a Bentayga for Falconry, one for Fly Fishing, and the EXP concept cars. Their latest build is sure to get attention, as Bentley has unveiled a Continental GT convertible inspired by Bavaria. Their latest press release does not mention if this was built for a customer or an employee, but we have a suspicion. Glacier White and Imperial Blue are the colors of the Bavarian flag. They can be found in several places around the car. It will be unveiled at a private event hosted by Bentley of Munich. It might just be a coincidence, but Munich is also home to BMW (Bavarian Motor Works). BMW owns Rolls-Royce, their chief competitor. In fact, the colors mentioned above appear in BMW's logo. Being that Bentley is owned by Volkswagen, are we looking at a proxy war of British luxury playing out in Germany? If we see a Stuttgart edition Wraith, Europe is doomed. In all seriousness they both build amazing automobiles, so click the link below to find a Continental near you.
