How To Buy: PUMA's New BMW M Motorsport Art Car Capsule C...

For decades, BMW M Motorsport has continued to show off its innovative side through exclusive "Art Cars" that celebrate creative collaborations with some of the world's most renowned artists. From Andy Warhol's BMW M1 to Frank Stella's 1976 BMW 3.0 CSL, every car evokes a style and personality that sets it aside from the collection of colorful, motorsport-inspired sports cars. In collaboration with BMW M Motorsport, PUMA just launched their second capsule collection, honoring the legendary BMW Art Cars. The collection pays tribute to the first BMW Art Car, designed by Alexander Calder. In 1975, Calder reimagined a BMW 3.0 CSL race car into an art canvas, thanks to the vision of a French auctioneer named Hervé Poulain. Poulain's project was both a marketing strategy and an authentic fusion of art and automotive engineering. While the car did not finish the Le Mans 24-hour race, it received significant attention and praise from the motorsport world. The PUMA X BMW M Motorsport Alexander Calder Art Car Capsule Collection offers an exclusive range of clothing and footwear, celebrating the BMW Art Car legacy. The collection includes a shirt, shorts, two tees, a hat, and the iconic PUMA Suedes, all inspired by Calder's vibrant and revolutionary design. This collection not only honors a historic artistic legacy but also supports the ongoing relationship between the worlds of art and automotive design. BMW Reveals The New Concept Skytop Roadster With 617 HP

BMW envisions the future of open-top driving pleasure. BMW is well-known and celebrated for its convertibles and roadsters, such as the historic 507, the intriguing Z1 with its retracting doors, the legendary Z8, and the modern Z4. However, a new BMW concept could be a vision of what the next generation of BMW’s roadsters will look like, and it’s called the BMW Concept Skytop. It’s a design study, debuting at the ultra-prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on the glittering shores of Italy’s gorgeous Lake Como. A two-seater concept, the Skytop features a muscular and elegant design, with luxury and sportiness integral to its character. Its inspirations include the iconic Z8 of the early 2000s and the historic 503. Crafted beautifully, the Skytop features a warm, monochromatic color scheme inside and out, with leather sport bars on the back and removable leather roof pieces. In addition, the interior, which transitions seamlessly from the exterior, especially with the top open, features leather upholstery with timelessly luxurious brogue-style accents. Regarding performance, the Skytop takes another piece of inspiration from the BMW Z8 before it, using an engine derived from a BMW M car. Rather than the naturally aspirated V8 that powered the Z8, the Skytop uses BMW’s 4.4-liter TwinPower turbocharged V8 engine derived from the BMW M8 Competition, boasting 617 horsepower. With power, sportiness, elegance, beauty, and luxury, the new BMW Concept Skytop is an exciting preview of what BMW’s future roadsters will be like. View All BMWs For Sale Image Source: BMW

BMW Debuts New Le Mans Racing M Hybrid V8 Art Car By Juli...

Art and racing come together with this masterpiece. BMW is known for its iconic luxury vehicles and reputation for driving dynamics. It uses its vehicles to contribute to and celebrate the arts with its renowned series of Art Cars. The latest is done by New York-based contemporary artist Julie Mehretu, and it's based on BMW’s incredible hybrid racing hypercar, the M Hybrid V8 LMDh race car. After debuting in Paris, the new BMW Art Car is set to race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year. As the 20th BMW Art Car, Julie Mehretu’s BMW M Hybrid V8 is inspired by the colors and motifs of her “Everywhen” painting, which was made from 2021-2023. The design combines digitally altered photographs, neon-colored paint, and black accents. The work will eventually find a home at the MoMA in New York, where it’s been gifted. The concept that drove the artwork was that the car went through the painting and assumed its colors and shapes. On its way to Le Mans, the car is set to be displayed at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, celebrating the legacy of BMW’s Art Cars, as well as the rich, hundred-year history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Alongside it, other BMW Art Cars will be on display from Alexander Calder (1975), Frank Stella (1976), Roy Lichtenstein (1977), Andy Warhol (1979), Jenny Holzer (1999) and Jeff Koons (2010), all of which made a Le Mans race debut. At the intersection of racing and art comes the latest BMW Art Car, a compelling abstract concept that celebrates speed, motorsport, and artistry. View All BMWs For Sale Image Source: BMW
