BMW Reveals The First-Ever New M5 Touring For The US Market

A new high-performance luxury wagon may save a dying breed. In today’s automotive world, SUVs have become one of the most popular body styles, with luxury and performance variants imbuing the practical and versatile vehicles with the attributes of luxury sedans and supercars alike. However, decades ago, the body style of choice was the station wagon, which was deemed unfashionable and has since become one of the rarest styles on the road. However, station wagons have earned themselves a niche following among car enthusiasts, and luxury high-performance wagons have become an intriguing segment of the automotive industry, where practicality, luxury, and performance combine elegantly differently than their luxury-performance SUV counterparts. European manufacturers like Audi, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW have become the champions of cars like these. BMW is reaffirming its commitment to the luxury performance wagon formula by introducing its first-ever BMW M3 Touring. However, it’s going a step further with another new performance wagon. That is the new BMW M5 Touring, which has just been revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, one of the most prestigious and anticipated annual automotive events. It’s debuting alongside the new BMW M5 sedan, which uses a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain to produce a massive 717 horsepower and 738 lb/ft of torque. The new M5 Touring boasts the same futuristic power. It can drive 25 miles on electric power alone, boasts nearly 60 cubic feet of cargo capacity, and rockets from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 190 mph (with the M Driver’s Package). Previous generations of the BMW M5 have had Touring variants. Still, this new generation marks the first time a BMW M5 Touring station wagon has been offered in the United States market, bringing a new luxury performance wagon to a scarce but intriguing segment. The new M5 Touring’s versatility is highlighted through its five driving modes: HYBRID, ELECTRIC, eCONTROL, DYNAMIC, and DYNAMIC PLUS. These modes allow for comfortable everyday driving, all-electric commuting, battery capacity optimization, and circuit domination. However, the new BMW M5 Touring boasts much more than being a luxury station wagon with plenty of brawn. It’s also a driver-focused masterpiece that can switch between four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive for drifting, for example. In addition, a near-perfect 50:50 weight distribution ensures supercar-level dynamics. With luxury, hair-raising performance, and the added practicality and unique appeal of a station wagon body style, the new hybrid 717-horsepower BMW M5 Touring is the future of luxury performance wagons, and a car that could breathe life into an endangered segment in the market. It starts at $121,500, plus a $1,175 destination and handling fee, and its global market launch is set to take place in the fourth quarter of the year. View All BMW M5s For Sale Image Source: BMW

BMW Reveals The All-New 2025 BMW X3

One of BMW’s longest-standing SUV icons enters its fourth generation. The BMW X3 has been a long-standing icon in the luxury manufacturer’s lineup, celebrated for its compact size, everyday practicality, and luxurious features, and the 2025 model year marks the introduction of the new BMW X3’s fourth generation. The new 2025 BMW X3 features a redesigned exterior, mild hybrid four and six-cylinder powertrains, improved high-tech features, and other updates for the new model year. The two variants of the 2025 BMW X3 are the X3 30 xDrive and the X3 M50 xDrive, and observant BMW fans will notice the letter “i” is missing from the new model nomenclature. For years, BMW used the letter “i” to indicate fuel injection. Going forward, however, BMW will only use the letter “i” to designate all-electric models as the historic luxury manufacturer continues along its journey towards electrification. After more than 20 years of being one of BMW’s most successful models, the new 2025 BMW X3 boasts 393 horsepower with the 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine in the X3 M50 xDrive and 255 horsepower with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine in the X3 30 xDrive. Both engines benefit from turbocharged power and mild hybrid technology to bolster their performance and efficiency, pairing with a lighter body-in-white with greater rigidity for a thoroughly improved driving experience. With an interior with features like the BMW Curved Display, the advanced iDrive 9 system, upholstery available in Veganza, Alcantara and Veganza, and Merino leather, it also features various luxurious options. With its improved style, sporty driving character and performance, and luxurious features inside and out, the new 2025 BMW X3, which starts at $49,500 for the X3 30 xDrive, and $64,100 for the X3 M50 xDrive, is the start of the fourth generation of one of BMW’s most important icons. BMW Reveals The New Concept Skytop Roadster With 617 HP

BMW envisions the future of open-top driving pleasure. BMW is well-known and celebrated for its convertibles and roadsters, such as the historic 507, the intriguing Z1 with its retracting doors, the legendary Z8, and the modern Z4. However, a new BMW concept could be a vision of what the next generation of BMW’s roadsters will look like, and it’s called the BMW Concept Skytop. It’s a design study, debuting at the ultra-prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on the glittering shores of Italy’s gorgeous Lake Como. A two-seater concept, the Skytop features a muscular and elegant design, with luxury and sportiness integral to its character. Its inspirations include the iconic Z8 of the early 2000s and the historic 503. Crafted beautifully, the Skytop features a warm, monochromatic color scheme inside and out, with leather sport bars on the back and removable leather roof pieces. In addition, the interior, which transitions seamlessly from the exterior, especially with the top open, features leather upholstery with timelessly luxurious brogue-style accents. Regarding performance, the Skytop takes another piece of inspiration from the BMW Z8 before it, using an engine derived from a BMW M car. Rather than the naturally aspirated V8 that powered the Z8, the Skytop uses BMW’s 4.4-liter TwinPower turbocharged V8 engine derived from the BMW M8 Competition, boasting 617 horsepower. With power, sportiness, elegance, beauty, and luxury, the new BMW Concept Skytop is an exciting preview of what BMW’s future roadsters will be like. View All BMWs For Sale Image Source: BMW
