Bugatti Chiron Price, Specs, Photos And Review

When it first debuted, the Bugatti Chiron was nothing short of hypercar history. The tradition continues with the 2018 Bugatti Chiron specs, which are more impressive than its predecessor. What’s more, this powerhouse is a dream to drive, with fluid steering, seamless handling, and enormous power under the hood. Topping out at 261 mph, the Chiron speeds from 0-60 in 2.5 seconds thanks to an 8-liter, 16-cylinder engine pumping out 1,479 horsepower. Even with its overwhelming speed and power, the Chiron offers a smooth and inviting road experience. The Bugatti Chiron price may seem overwhelming, but the below specs justify the price of admission. MUST READ: Top 10 Fastest Quarter Mile Cars Styled in classic Bugatti fashion, the exterior boasts the trademark shape and sleek lines. The hypercar’s rounded shape and bullet-like profile exude speed and ease. The interior of the vehicle is a mix of a modern stylistic approach with a nod to historical architecture. Interior colors complement one another and highlight key features like the center console, which is shaped like the flying buttresses that shaped the architecture of the Gothic era. When it comes to technology, the Chiron mirrors a minimalist design with two high-resolution screens, balanced against an analog speedometer. Bugatti Chiron Price If you are looking to purchase a new example, the Bugatti Chiron price is $2.9 million (starting MSRP new), but the order books are closed. If you have that much discretionary income, the final number is not open for debate. While the price of a Bugatti Chiron is in the seven figures, you will have a car that is ensured to increase in value. Depreciation is not an issue if you can find another hypercar with the same options, but that's impossible. Just like the Veyron, no two examples of the Chiron will be alike. That is part of the mystique of having unlimited options. How Much Is A Bugatti Chiron? Bugatti has already sold all of the Chirons that they have planned to make, so if you want a Bugatti Chiron, you shouldn't expect to shell out the Chiron MSRP; the pre-owned market is where you'll have to search. There, due to the rarity and desirability of the car, you can expect that the Chiron cost will be as much as over $4 million but do know that the price tag accounts for one of the greatest, most powerful, and most iconic cars ever made. However, do expect maintenance on your Bugatti to be quite expensive. As these cars are incredibly advanced and powerful and made by highly skilled people in Bugatti's Molsheim Atelier, maintenance requires a similar degree of know-how. For example, because of the requirement to remove much of the car and do more labor than on an average car, a Bugatti oil change can cost as much as $25,000. Bugatti Chiron Review Throughout the archives of automotive history, it is a rare occurrence for a single vehicle to captivate the undivided attention of a prominent global car manufacturer. However, this is precisely what has transpired with the Bugatti Chiron and its impact on Volkswagen Group. Meticulous attention was devoted to every aspect when crafting its specifications, resulting in an exhilarating driving experience akin to one's wildest imagination. Unlike numerous high-performance automobiles that compromise either comfort or aesthetics, the Chiron seamlessly combines both elements into a harmonious blend. While its steering offers responsiveness, some purists may argue that it lacks the desired tactile feedback. The commendable visibility provided by the Chiron extends not only to the driver but also mesmerizes those who happen upon it. Nonetheless, one must exercise extra vigilance due to the captivating presence of this extraordinary machine which can potentially distract other drivers on the road. Therefore, remaining alert from all angles becomes paramount. As for its astonishing $2.9 million Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), contemplating such an investment seems justifiable given its remarkable specifications alone. Bugatti Chiron Specs If you know anything about Bugatti's work in the past 20 years, you know that the brand is known for making some of the most incredible performance cars in the world. The Bugatti Chiron stats are no different, with the iconic W16 Bugatti engine with its four turbochargers producing a mind-blowing 1,479 horsepower, all of which goes to all four wheels. With the Chiron transmission being a 7-speed DCT that features technology derived from Formula 1, which is one of the few places in even the motorsport world that can compare with the Bugatti Chiron's degree of performance, the car rockets from 0-60 in a mere 2.5 seconds, and continues on to a top speed of 261 mph, which shattered records when the Chiron was released. Bugatti Chiron Specs: Horsepower: 1479 hpTorque: 1,180 lb-ft0-60 MPH: 2.5 Seconds0-250 MPH: 32.6 Seconds60-0 Braking: 103 ftTop Speed: 261 mphPrice: $2.5 to $3 million dollars Bugatti Chiron Engine If we were to think about internal combustion engines in a logical manner, more cylinders would mean more power. Cadillac used this mentality to build their V16 flagships in the late 1930s. Bugatti resurrected the sixteen cylinders in a few concepts, and they shocked the world with the Veyron’s power. To engine designers, there is nothing new under the sun. So they took inspiration from the Jetta VR6 and simply scaled it up. In general, the W16 engine is essentially two VR8 engines. Essentially they added 4 cylinders to the W12 found in Bentley, Audi, as well as a few VW models. The Bugatti Chiron specs are slightly improved than the Veyron by the use of sequential turbochargers. Instead of having to awaken 4 equally sized turbos on the Veyron, the Chiron keeps two smaller units spinning and ready to make boost. Bugatti Chiron Transmission Before the return of Bugatti, no transmission capable of holding such power had been conceived. So it took the Formula 1 masters at Ricardo to built a new 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The dry-sump system has multiple cooling circuits and it sends power to a multi-plate rear differential. The front end is controlled by a Haldex unit, similar to what Lamborghini and Audi use. With the Chiron making 1,479 horsepower, Ricardo decided to demand the very best from their suppliers. Each component has been tested to destruction to ensure years of worry-free shifting. Regardless of your feelings about the dual-clutch transmission, the Chiron unquestionably proves the potency of the design. Bugatti Chiron Interior Only a few parts were carried over from the Veyron. Bugatti Chiron specs the La Maison Pur Sang. What translates as a home for purebred Bugatti models, they will tailor-make the interior to your liking. This includes contours of the seat, unlimited color choices, and bespoke pedals for your legs only. Controls are carved from billet aluminum, and leather comes from farms without barbed wire. Accordingly, there is no plastic to be found. The interior is not snapped together on an assembly line. It is crafted by master coachbuilders in a manner that has almost been lost to the ages. Bugatti Chiron Brakes If you really need to stop, you should consider AP Racing. They engineered the Bugatti Chiron specs to allow for 249-0 mph in 10 seconds. The massive rotors measure 16.5” in the front and 15.7” out back. Although they have considered the idea of titanium calipers, the Chiron’s production units are 8-piston front and 6-piston rear. Each piston is a unique size to maximize the swept area. Using a few aerodynamic tricks, the front rotor heat shields create a turbine effect, increasing downforce at cruising speeds.  Because the carbon ceramic discs were designed to last the life of the car, the brake pads are your only point of wear. Manny Khoshbin's Bugatti Chiron "Hermès Edition" The famous Bugatti Chiron keys. Bugatti Chiron Standout Features An electronic speed limiter will keep you at 261 mph. This is because the tires will begin to self-destruct due to heat. At top speed, you will only have 7 minutes of fuel. The computer allows the small and large turbos to overlap at 3,800 rpm, ensuring smooth transitions in intake airflow. Speaking of the intakes, at full load the Bugatti Chiron engine swallows 2,118 cubic feet of air each minute. That is around 4.2 times a typical 500 cfm 4-barrel carburetor. The best feature is the Bugatti Flying Doctors. If your car is sick, they can monitor every sensor over the internet, and your car’s vitals are displayed to the technicians at the factory. Should a repair be needed, a supercar surgeon is flown from France to your garage. Louis Chiron was a famous racer from Monaco. His victories with Bugatti are memorable because he was among the oldest entrants in the races. The elder driver put Bugatti on the podium around the world, so several references to the letter C are found throughout. Moreover, the gorgeous quarter panel is one piece of carbon fiber from the roof to the rocker panels. In the cockpit, a central spine runs from the roof to the floor, splitting the rearview like the timeless Type 57. The body is offered with paint or visible carbon fiber, which is book-matched down the centerline. Bugatti Chiron Special Editions Taking these attributes into consideration, the Bugatti Chiron specs lend themselves to be the basis for a lineup of supercars. Once the first examples were delivered to customers, engineers sought more performance on the track. Introduced for the 2019 model year, the Bugatti Chiron Sport ditched insulation and excess weight to lose 40 lbs. While the suspension geometry was unchanged, the shocks and springs were tuned to evoke the best attributes of street-legal track machines. The torque vectoring system was a clean sheet in order to maximize the abilities of the suspension. In tight corners, nearly all the torque is sent to the outside wheels to make the car respond like a featherweight. Revised aerodynamics also lowered drag and saved weight concurrently. This extensive list of upgrades forced the Bugatti Chiron Sport price to be increased by $400,000. Bugatti Chiron 110 Ans Not many brands make it to a century, let alone 11 decades. In order to celebrate the momentous anniversary, the Bugatti Chiron 110 Ans features are truly remarkable. To show off the Chiron's gorgeous body, the skilled craftspeople chose to forego a traditional paint job. Instead, the carbon fiber body was primed and covered in Matte Steel Blue. To offer a patriotic flair, the colors of the French flag can be found on the mirrors, gas filler, and rear spoiler. The interior is awash in blue Alcantara with the same French motif on the headrests, seatbacks, and steering wheel. Only 20 examples were built. Chiron Super Sport 300+ When it came time to capture the land speed record, specialized Bugatti Chiron specs were devised to go faster than 300 miles per hour. Once the car went past 304 miles per hour the manufacturer authorized 30 replicas. As the 2nd series in the 110th anniversary year, the body was highly specialized in color and function. Starting with grey lacquer, orange stripes echo the same colors as the record-holding car. Nearly 10 inches longer, the front and rear bumpers are designed to cut through the air. Although similar in dimensions, the powertrain was revised with longer transmission ratios, top speed suspension profiles, and more power. The Bugatti Chiron horsepower was revised to offer 1,578 horsepower and a top speed of over 300 mph. Owners were also treated to extensive driver training at  Ehra-Lessien to handle the power. Chiron habillé par Hermès The Chiron habillé par Hermès was built for none other than Manny Khosbhin. This special edition was created after years of collaboration between Mr. Khoshbin, Bugatti and Hermès. Its color scheme is an off-white chalk color called "Craie" which was first made famous by luxury goods from Hermès. Special touches, aside from the lavish Craie and Ecru interior, include the Sky View glass roof, the 'H" Monogram in the grille, the ‘Courbettes’ motif on the underside of the rear wing, and Italian Red brake calipers. Chiron Sport Les Légendes du Ciel In total, 20 examples of the Chiron Sport Les Légendes du Ciel were created, each of which honors the racing drivers of the early 1900s who were also very skilled pilots. Each example features a matte-grey Gris Serpent finish, which is remarkably similar to the exterior color of classic aircraft from the 1920s. Special features of this limited edition Chiron include a unique grille pattern that resembles planes flying in formation, a "Les Légendes du Ciel“ edition logo that can be found on the exterior and interior, the “Le Bleu-Blanc-Rouge” tricolor on the side sills, Sky View panoramic roof and a hand-sketched racing scene on the door panels that display a Nieuport 17 aircraft and a Bugatti Type 13 racing each other. Bugatti Unveils The Journey Of Its 1st Pilote Officiel

His career goes from dominating the karting world and Formula One to his iconic role with Bugatti and setting world records. Pierre-Henri Raphanel's passion for speed and performance started long before his association with Bugatti. It began at the age of 13, with go-karting competitions. His exceptional talent was evident as he quickly dominated the karting scene, grabbing victories like the French Championship and ranking in the Top 6 of the World Championship. Unwavering family support ensured that his early racing days were memorable adventures, spanning across the scenic landscapes of France. But Pierre-Henri's thirst for speed was insatiable. From karting, he ascended to higher motorsports platforms like Formula Renault, Formula 3000, and Formula 3, ultimately clinching the revered position in the world of Formula One. Racing around the Monte Carlo circuit for the iconic Monaco Grand Prix in 1989 was a defining moment. The world's most elite motorsport had embraced him. The call of endurance racing beckoned next. With 14 attempts at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Pierre-Henri's skill shone as he secured three podiums and a class win. This shift from the electric pace of Formula One to the strategic world of endurance racing exhibited his adaptability and vast skill set. A new challenge emerged in the early 2000s, signaling a transition from racing. An unexpected call from Thomas Bscher, Bugatti's President at the time, marked the beginning of an exciting chapter in Pierre-Henri's life. It was an invitation to Molsheim, where he would lay his eyes on what would be Bugatti's modern-day marvel, the Veyron. Today, it's remembered as the hypercar that changed the world with unfathomable performance and groundbreaking engineering. Pierre-Henri was spellbound, spending seven hours seated inside, captivated by its allure. This enchantment led to his selection as Bugatti's first and only Pilote Officiel, a role that was a testament to his unmatched expertise and passion for cars. Bugatti ventured into uncharted territories of speed and performance with the Veyron in 2005. Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti Automobiles, emphasized the need for an ambassador who could portray the engineering marvels, and the story of Bugatti, with fervor. Pierre-Henri was the ideal choice. His understanding of the Veyron and the Bugatti vision was impeccable, and he has continued to be the perfect brand ambassador for over 18 years. This association peaked in July 2010 when Pierre-Henri drove the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport to a staggering speed of 268 mph, cementing both his and Bugatti's names in history. His relationship with Bugatti, characterized by mutual respect and admiration, encapsulates the ethos of the brand – combining performance with luxury, agility with power, and a rich legacy with modern innovation. Pierre-Henri's tenure with Bugatti saw another legend, Andy Wallace, join as the second Pilote Officiel in 2011. However, his commitment remains unwavering. Every drive, every journey with a Bugatti is a memory, a testament to the brand's excellence. Looking ahead, Pierre-Henri envisions a future filled with unparalleled adventures, continuing to live his dream with Bugatti. View All Bugattis For Sale Image Source: Bugatti

The 40th Anniversary Bugatti Festival In Molsheim Celebra...

The three-day event honored the life, legacy, and innovations of Ettore Bugatti with an array of classic and modern hyper sports cars. Every September, the quaint town of Molsheim transforms into a high-octane sanctuary celebrating one of the automotive world's most iconic figures—Ettore Bugatti. The Bugatti Festival, now in its 40th year, honors the man whose imaginative engineering, relentless pursuit of perfection, and artistic influences have propelled the brand to legendary status. This festival, hosted by Enthousiastes Bugatti Alsace, is more than a retrospective. It's a living embodiment of Bugatti's transcendent legacy, attracting fans, collectors, and automotive experts from around the globe. While the festival traditionally kicks off with a visit to Ettore’s final resting place, it doesn't merely memorialize him but celebrates his lifelong work. This year, Bugatti aficionados had the honor of starting their engines and rolling their classic and modern masterpieces through the historic gates of Château Saint Jean. The sprawling chateau grounds buzzed with excitement as it showcased not just Bugatti cars, but also a curated exhibition featuring the artistic works of Carlo Bugatti and Rembrandt Bugatti, Ettore's family members who profoundly influenced his design sensibilities. From the Bugatti Type 13, Ettore’s first masterpiece, to the modern marvels like the Chiron Super Sport, the festival serves as a testament to Bugatti's enduring relevance in the luxury sports car market. Even the Bugatti Autorail, a high-speed luxury train developed by Ettore, made a rare appearance, reminding us that his influence extends far beyond four-wheeled wonders. No Bugatti event would be complete without a nod to the brand’s motorsports heritage. The festival showcased Grand Prix cars like the Type 57G Tank and the Type 35, bringing the brand’s storied racing history to life. Making its grand debut was also the model of Bolide—the modern track-only Bugatti hyper sports car that made waves during its first public appearance at Le Mans this past June. Ettore's influence is not confined to static displays; it's in the roar of engines, the craftsmanship of every hand-assembled detail, and the thrill of performance. Festival goers had the chance to drive through Alsace’s picturesque Wine Route, exploring charming towns that seem to have leapt straight from the pages of a storybook. Finally, they converged for a public exhibition in Parc des Jésuites, a sight that left spectators in awe of Bugatti's time-tested allure. The festival culminated in an awards ceremony presided over by Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti Automobiles. Awards like the Grand Prix Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. and the Trophée Lalique were handed out, highlighting the cars and individuals who best encapsulated the Bugatti ethos. Events like the Bugatti Festival prove that Bugatti has evolved from simply being a brand or a manufacturer, and has with its rich history become a symbol of automotive excellence and an aspiration for car enthusiasts the world over. And Molsheim continues to live out its historical purpose as the place where the soul of Bugatti continues to thrive. The Bugatti Festival is a pilgrimage, an annual homecoming for everyone united by their passion for this extraordinary brand. View All Bugattis For Sale Image Source: Bugatti
