Bugatti Veyron Hits 235.7 mph at Sun Valley Road Rally 2015

Idaho isn't a state that comes to mind when most people are planning vacations. However, if you're the type of person who has an affinity for watching cars hit their limits, then it might be time to reconsider your destination preferences.Hosted every summer since 2009, the Sun Valley Road Rally is a one day event where a stretch of I-75 loses its speed restrictions. From 8 am to 3 pm, local traffic is diverted another route, and drivers from around the country bring their pride and joy just north of Ketchum, Idaho, for a chance to hurtle down the road as fast as they can.Of course, the car of choice for this event has consistently been the Bugatti Veyron. Last year, on August 4 and August 9, we shared photos of the massive gatherings of Veyrons, all ready to test their speedometer and see how far it can be pushed. This year, James Condon, better known as The Stradman, was on hand to catch a close look at the one of one Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse L'Or Rouge hitting a top speed of 235.7 mph. At that speed, it sounds like an airplane taking off. Literally.A video added to YouTube July 25 and posts to Facebook July 24, 25 and 26 give us a full look at this stunning red and black Veyron, with a license plate bearing its nickname, "Hellbug," on full display.Check out the video from this event above, and find your own Veyron from our exclusive listings below to prepare for the 2016 Sun Valley Road Rally.Bugattis For Sale(Source: Facebook, YouTube, SunValleyRoadRally.com) See More Bugatti News

In between the seats embroidered with the name "Daniel" is an Autobots symbol.https://instagram.com/p/5GMThCOG7X/?taken-by=ericsteelephotoIn a Drizz.ly article dated the same day, they claim that the car is sitting at the Los Gatos Luxury Cars dealership in Los Gatos, California. They also state that the car is an Asia spec. vehicle and was recently shipped to the United States from Singapore.(Related: The Cars of Transformers 4)This Veyron reminds us of Autobot Drift featured in the movie Transformers: Age of Extinction, who could transform in a Veyron. Bugatti Pop Up Lifestyle Shop in Porto Cervo

A small port city sits on the northeastern tip of Sardegna, facing the Tyrrhenian Sea as Rome sits across the turquoise water. It's been renowned for decades as one of Europe's finest destinations, the crown jewel of the Smeralda Coast; until 2004, it was only accessible by boat or after hours of flying and driving, and today, as Engel & Volkers reported in 2013, its pricing of €300,000 per square meter, or approx. $30,454 USD per square foot, makes it the most expensive location in Europe. It's the ultimate place for Europe's elite to spend long summer days, and Europe's finest marques are there to meet them.Bugatti shared a few photos to their Facebook page of two different Veyrons parked in the illustrious port city, welcoming guests to their pop up Bugatti Lifestyle Boutique in Harrods Village. From July 4 to August 31, the shop will be open for eight hours every day while showcasing the finest pieces from their lifestyle collection. Hours run from 10 am to 12 noon, then from 6 pm to midnight local time.(See Also: Volkswagen Group Confirms New 1,500 hp Hybrid Bugatti)The trademark Bugatti blue is evident throughout the photos, bringing a small taste of what's available in their The Blue of London lifestyle boutique, which opened Nov. 14, 2014. Bugatti Veyrons in Connecticut: Life in Blue

There are few things that can improve upon the pastoral beauty of New England in the summer, but if anyone can do it, Bugatti can.Two Veyrons spent some time in Lakeville, Connecticut, recently, taking the time to enjoy the winding country roads and the 1.5-mile track at Lime Rock Park. A gallery of photos added to the marque's Facebook page June 25 share some scenes from this bucolic trip, filled with verdant green deciduous trees and classic New England architecture."Life may be a little better in a Bugatti #LaVieEnBleu," describes the gallery's caption. The traditional Bugatti blue perfectly accents the black and white exteriors of the two Veyrons, and fills in their wheels with a tone that matches the summer skies.Check out the photos in the gallery below, and find your own Veyron to make life a little better from our exclusive listings.Veyrons For Sale Gallery (Source: Facebook)  See More Bugatti News

The Bugatti Atlantean Yacht Concept & Potential Future Steps

Since Bugatti announced that the final Veyron had been produced and sold Feb. 23, the future of the marque, at least publicly, has been slightly uncertain. No news has been revealed about its potential next step, but Fraser Leid, a design student from South Africa based in the UK, has a few ideas for where they might head.Leid has created an aquatic concept for the marque, which he's dubbed the Bugatti Atlantean Racing Yacht. Sleek, minimalistic  and inspired by the Type 57, it brings the design concept from the roads of the 1930s to the waters of the 21st century, which is what Leid set out to do with this project. He began by wanting to infuse classic design into a new concept for an established brand in a way they'd never done before.Bugatti had yet to take to the water, and the quintessential Bugatti design of the Type 57 and Type 57 Atlantic became his jumping off point."After playing with the words, the name 'Atlantean' came to mind as something people would understand as an object that belongs in the sea," he told us of his decision-making process. The concept makes use of glass fiber construction reinforced by a carbon fiber composite. Propulsion comes from a water jet system, eliminating the need for a fuel-powered engine."My perception of the interior is also extremely minimalistic, in a sense that it caters to a person who’d use it as a recreational vehicle for the afternoon," he said. "It would serve as a huge performance craft, but also could cater for the subtleties of everyday commuting," which makes it the perfect design for anyone living in an island state or nation that regularly travels from port to port. There are only two seats, and a small windowless cabin within the hull serves as a space for sleeping. As for the direction the marque could realistically head in the future, Leid has a few ideas; he thinks there's a chance the W12 could stay around, but in a smaller form utilizing stronger turbochargers than the previous Veyron engine did. Or, he postulated, they could switch to a V8 or V12 enhanced by a hybrid component, similar to the i8 or LaFerrari's powertrain.(See Also: French Garage That Has Restored Bugattis Since 1929)"I particularly enjoy this route because it’s a boundary pusher, making it unique and worth Bugatti’s name," he said, adding that the next model could perhaps pay tribute to the marque's founder, and simply be named "Ettore."To follow more of Leid's work, be sure to check out his profile on Behanced.com, and stay with us to learn more about the future of Bugatti as information is released.Gallery See More Bugatti News

French Garage That Has Restored Bugattis Since 1929

In another masterpiece of automotive storytelling, Petrolicious takes us behind the scenes at Garage Novo, where three generations of the Novo family have restored the early works of Ettore Bugatti.(Related: Historic Bugatti Veyrons at 24 Hours Nurburgring)Henry Novo started working on the cars in 1929, and aside from a hiatus during WWII, they have been in continual operation ever since. The Third Reich melted most of the pre-war cars to make their implements of war, so the few cars that remain are among the most valuable automobiles on earth. In the video below, it's easy to see the love and quality craftsmanship that the Novo family has for the brand.(Source: YouTube) Click Here For More Automotive Videos

Historic Bugatti Veyrons at 24 Hours Nurburgring

The 45th annual 24 Hours Nürburgring saw the world's finest touring cars tearing around the course's Nordschleife for 24 hours over the weekend of May 16, and at the beginning of it all, Bugatti offered up a rare coupling to celebrate. In their first appearance together on the famed German track were a Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport and a Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vittesse as they participated in the Parade Lap prior to the start of the race. Though Bugatti didn't actually have any vehicles among the 30 qualified teams, as the race's website states, such an event could not be complete without the legendary marque's presence. Two photos posted to the marque's Facebook page May 15 and a small gallery May 17 showed these two sporting matching black and orange exteriors on their way through Germany and at the track. Both look immensely comfortable and in their natural habitat - surrounded by asphalt and blurred greens, with other supercars riding just alongside.(See Also: Is This the New Bugatti Chiron on the Road?)Take a moment to browse through the pictures of two of the world's fastest vehicles below, then browse through our exclusive selection of Veyron listings, and find the perfect Bugatti for you.View Veyrons For Sale Gallery (Source: Facebook, 24h-rennen.de) See More Bugatti News
