Watch Bugatti Test Their 3D Printed Brake Calipers

It seems like 2018 went by quickly. Almost as fast as a new Bugatti Chiron. Going fast is incredibly fun, but stopping fast is just as important. That's why they have developed the best brakes in the automotive industry. The world's first 3D printed looks almost organic. 2018 Bugatti Chiron Specs & Price It has several exposed areas to mitigate heat, so how can it be strong enough to clamp down on the 16.5" carbon ceramic rotors? Each pair of the 8 calipers are a unique size, but the real secret is in their material. The pistons and the monoblock calipers are 3D printed- from TITANIUM! The same element that was forged to build the SR-71 Blackbird is not cheap, and it's not easy to work with. Nevertheless, watch the best brakes ever made being tested to hellish temperatures. Bugatti Chiron Top Speed: See It Hit 261 MPH

The Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds are where dreams and top speeds come true. Don't believe me? They just released a new video of the Bugatti Chiron hitting a top speed of 261 mph in a matter of 2.7 miles. That's the electronically limited top speed that Bugatti has set for the car and was done so for safety reasons. The video below, however, makes the top speed run look effortless.  And I'm serious when I say dreams come true here. The Proving Grounds is home to the longest strip of road for testing cars in the United States. That's because the stretch of road they use is actually the Space Florida's Shuttle Landing Facility runway, which measures in at 3.2 miles. What's more, it's also 300 feet wide, or 25 freeway lanes wide. Having visited some aerodynamic testing sessions at the Proving Grounds, like the one the Chiron took part it, I can tell you that the experience is massive in general. " width="680">

Drag Racing a $3.4M Bugatti Chiron: Not As Easy As It Seems

If you were to drop $3,400,000 on a car, do you think you'd be able to take it to a drag strip and race it? Many owners would be hard-pressed to take their expensive car out for high-speed runs, but the owner of this Bugatti Chiron went all-out at the drag strip. Drag Times was with the owner of the Chiron when he took it to the drag strip and recorded the hypercar laying down some 1/4-mile times. The first run was extremely lackluster, due to the Chiron only allowing the car to run up to around 30 mph for some reason. Then the second launch came, which was a massive improvement over the first, although without launch control. Third time seemed to be the lucky one as the driver took the Chiron to what seems like the first 1/4-mile run in the 9's for the model. Check it out below! CarMax Appraises Bugatti Veyron Mansory for Hilarious Price

At CarMax locations, you can have a specialist come out to appraise your car. Upon appraisal, should you choose to accept it, they'll hand you a check and you're off on your merry way. When Carmax first introduced this, I'm sure they were expecting your typical car to come rolling through and not a hypercar. But, alas, TheStradman and his friend Houston from Royalty Exotics decided to see how they would appraise a Bugatti Veyron Mansory. Why? Because why the heck not. After having a specialist come out to check out the car and go for a test drive, CarMax entered the hypercar into their system. However, since they don't deal with cars of this significance, they had to enter the Veyron as a 12-cylinder Volkswagen Beetle. That's. Hilarious. After going through all the pleasantries and punching in all the numbers, the CarMax agent presented Houston with their incredible offer of $200,000. That's $200k for a $2 million car. Bugatti Veyron Spins $150,000 Donuts Why such a lowball offer? The maximum amount they will offer for a car is $200,000 and it's evident that this car is worth well over that amount. So, you can't fault CarMax for the low offer as this car just isn't in their intended market and, according to StradMan, the amount is the maximum the software would allow. But you have to appreciate the sincerity and professionalism of the agent and inspector during the whole ordeal. It should also be mentioned that StradMan brought his Lamborghini Gallardo to CarMax last year and got a real offer for $80,000 which was around what he expected. StradMan mentioned he was actually impressed with the offer. You can view that video " title="YouTube video" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen>. Just How Good Is A Bugatti Veyron?

We exist to connect buyers and sellers of the world's most exotic cars, so naturally, we get a million questions about Bugatti and their products. A majority of motoring enthusiasts will never see one in person, let alone have a chance to get behind the wheel. To put that into perspective, champion Floyd "Money" Mayweather has owned at least 6 examples of the Bugatti Veyron.Ed Bolian's automotive career has also allowed him to experience the Veyron in person, and I have been lucky enough to drive them to our various duPont REGISTRY Live events. So in a recent upload to his VinWiki page, Ed gives us his thoughts on the 16-Cylinder supercar. Bugatti is wholly-owned by VW, so many people will tell you it shares parts from Audi, Porsche, Bentley, and Lamborghini. If this is true, please enlighten us, because the Veyron is unlike anything else.Like he mentions in the video, a Bugatti isn't stressed about anything. It makes massive horsepower and torque in every situation, and the fit & finish is worthy of the price. I've driven the Mansory Vincero d'Oro, which was an all-carbon masterpiece.Transformers 2014 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse For SaleThe Transformers Edition Veyron was the star of last year's Orange County Auto Show, and it had a temperament of the aristocracy. It would be nice to hear more exhaust while cruising, but 16 cylinders cancel each other out. This makes the dozen cooling fans the loudest noise at idle. Everything component and action of a Bugatti is solid and well thought out. Is it worth the price? Yes and probably more in my book. Tell us your thoughts on meeting your heroes in the comments below and stay with us for more VinWiki videos.Browse Bugatti Veyron For Sale

Bugatti Chiron Sets New 0-249-0 mph Record Time

In order to build the world's most capable supercars, Bugatti understands the need for balance between brakes and acceleration. Everyone knows they build fast cars, but what good is speed if you can't stop? Working along with the active rear spoiler, the Chiron's massive 16.5" carbon brake rotors are controlled by titanium pistons. To put them to work, Juan-Pablo Montoya was hired for an unprecedented show of force. A new Chiron was equipped with GPS-based telemetry from VBOX Automotive, and JP was given the Top-Speed Key. In a weekend of high-speed testing, he surpassed his personal speed record. As an Indycar champion, his previous record was 252 mph, and the Chiron took him to 260. The event culminated in a run from 0 to 400 km/h (249 mph) and slamming on the brakes. The Chiron uses four turbos like its predecessor, but the system is now sequential.Launch control spins up the smaller ones at 2,800 rpm to enable a smooth holeshot. Above 3,000 rpm, the larger ones come alive to reach 400 km/h (249 mph) in only 32.6 seconds. In less than 10 seconds after, the car was standing still. Bugatti now holds the 0-400 km/h-0 record at 41.96 seconds. The run was just under 2 miles long, and it prompted the driver to say: "The Chiron is so incredibly fast it takes your breath away. And its braking is at least as impressive. And the car is just so stable and consistent. I feel honored to be part of this project.”Bugattis For Sale

"Panda" Bugatti Chiron Revealed and Delivered

Bugatti Chiron deliveries are being delivered frequently nowadays, and one of the most recent deliveries is unlike any we've seen so far. Granted, almost all Chiron's are really unlike any other. This specific Chiron was delivered and revealed in Saudi Arabia in a remarkable fashion: in a giant box filled with balloons. As the sides dropped on the box, the black and white Chiron appeared among a mess of matching balloons.https://www.facebook.com/ArabCars/videos/10159110153055293/It didn't take long for the car to appear in Cannes, where G-E SUPERCARS captured the car roaming the streets. What do you guys think about this spec for a Bugatti? Would you want more color, or is this greyscale color scheme perfect?

Bugatti Chiron Caught Testing at Nurburgring

Each time I hear the Bugatti Chiron, I fall in love just a little bit more. Its quad-turbocharged W16 engine is unlike any other in the world, but is similar to the one found in the Veyron. However, the sound of the Chiron is much deeper and has more of a "throaty" sound to it.Automotive Mike recently captured a Chiron on film while visiting Nurburgring. It seems Bugatti was testing the car during the Industry Pool this month, leaving the videographer to ask the question: "why is Bugatti testing the Chiron?" He suggested that maybe Bugatti is getting ready for a more hardcore version of the Chiron.Unfortunately, there's no word of a new version of the Chiron for sale, so we'll have to wait to find out. In the meantime, enjoy the video below and turn up your speakers!

London's First Customer Bugatti Chiron Caught in Traffic

London's ancient streets predate the Norman Conquest, and the French have returned for another assault. I don't know about you, but I really hate parking my Bugatti on the street. One wealthy Englishman has received his new Bugatti Chiron, and the footage is going viral. Finding a safe parking spot in any urban setting can be a nightmare and this upload by TheTTJJ proves the struggle is real. In the swanky neighborhood of Knightsbridge is the Bulgari hotel. Spotted outside was the third Bugatti Chiron to arrive at HR Owen Bugatti of London, and it is capable of stealing everyone's attention. Also Check Out: Bugatti Chiron's First ReviewFinished in Bugatti Blue with contrasting carbon fiber, it looks identical to the first prototypes we saw a year ago. To punish such a fine creation by driving on cobblestones might make you cringe, but the HD video gives a new perspective to the car's finer details. The one-piece brake light and brakes the size of trashcans are noteworthy, but we didn't expect to be able to see the driver from behind. Zero rear visibility is generally standard in the world of supercars, but the Chiron has a sizable backlight that is split by the spine. Even if its only at idle, the 1,500 horsepower engine has a soundtrack that would make anyone smile. If you can't wait for yours to be delivered, our dealers have great offers on pre-owned Bugatti Veyrons that are just as impressive. So stay with us as the Chiron hits the streets because you will see it here first.
