Jacob & Co. x Bugatti Tourbillon: Where Hypercars Meet Haute Horology

When Bugatti unveiled the Tourbillon, it defined itself as the next chapter of performance, luxury, and innovation for the age-old brand. In celebrating the debut of Bugatti's Chiron replacement, Jacob & Co. crafted two timepieces that reflect its spirit, the Bugatti Tourbillon and the Bugatti Tourbillon Baguette. Both watches speak the same language of precision and artistry, finding similarities between watchmaking and hypercar design.Much like Tourbillon's new V16 engine serves as its beating heart, the Bugatti Tourbillon watch features a sapphire engine block movement, complete with 16 titanium pistons that fire into motion at the push of a button.Jacob & Co. incorporated the same meticulous detail into the watch as Bugatti did with its Tourbillon. The case shape mirrors the car's body, with sapphire side windows displaying the movement's inner workings, while the dial borrows its design cues from the car's gauge cluster. Even the placement of the flying Tourbillon at 9 o'clock resembles a tachometer, supporting the connection between road and wrist. It's not hard to see why this project was more of a collaboration than a simple partnership that both Bugatti and Jacob & Co. are equally obsessed with. Then there's the Bugatti Tourbillon Baguette, which takes the idea to another level of exclusivity. With a case crafted in 18K white gold, invisibly set with 17 carats of baguette-cut diamonds and accented with 18 rubies, it transforms the meaning of high-end horology. The rubies even pay homage to the Tourbillon's taillights. Limited to just 18 pieces, the Baguette will most likely remain a piece few will ever see in person, let alone own. What We Know About The AP Royal Oak Inside Bugatti's One-Off Hypercar

What We Know About The AP Royal Oak Inside Bugatti's One-Off

In the automotive realm, certain cars age like fine wine and make triumphant returns to the collector car market, with buyers paying incredible premiums to own a piece of history. For Bugatti and its legendary Veyron, the 2000s hypercar never fell off, mainly because of its iconic status as ‘The’ influential hypercar, and it is most definitely rising in value even further as a must-have collector's gem. The marque recognized this recent celebration of the Veyron, which just so happened to coincide perfectly with the reveal of its one-off Bugatti F.K.P Hommage by its all-new Programme Solitaire division. And while you can check out our full release on the Veyron facelift, inspired by one of the most influential automotive personalities, Karl Piëch, here, we’re here to address a very special custom clock commissioned for the new, one-off Bugatti hypercar. For something that seems foreign to most, it's one of the most exciting parts of modern-day coachbuilding, giving clients complete control over designing what just might be their ultimate dream car. We’ve seen something similar with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and its three $28 million Boat Tail builds, all configured with custom clocks courtesy of horologists like Audemars Piguet and Breguet. Audemars Piguet has returned to the automotive world, as the future owner of the F.K.P Hommage took advantage of Bugatti’s ability to accommodate highly individual requests within the Programme Solitaire to commission a custom Royal Oak clock for the interior. Best described by Bugatti themselves, the 41mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon “dominates the dashboard,” proudly displayed at the center of the 1,001-horsepower Bugatti’s dashboard. The octagonal Royal Oak sits within an “island” finished in engine-turned polish, borrowed from the finishing of Ettore Bugatti's original straight-eight cylinder heads. Audemars Piguet’s Tourbillon features a gondola winding mechanism that rotates on a diagonal axis several times per hour, powered by the car itself without any  connection. The dial features a stunning red-to-black sunburst finish that matches the hypercar's two-tone exterior. Being the second Programme Solitaire commission to come out of Molsheim, you have to wonder what watch Bugatti will feature in its next one-off build. All Bugatti Inventory Source: Bugatti

Why Bugatti Built the Tourbillon’s Dash Like a Mechanical Watch

By Jordan Aquistapace –  March 03, 2026

Why Bugatti Built the Tourbillon’s Dash Like a Mechanical Watch

Exotic cars and luxury watches have always shared a natural bond, connected by craftsmanship, precision, and an obsession with time itself. Bugatti has continued to bridge that gap closer and closer through its collaborations with Jacob & Co., engineering watches whose ultra-complex movements directly mirror the engines powering its hypercars. It’s mechanical art expressed in two different forms. As the Chiron wrapped up production in Molsheim, Bugatti worked quietly behind closed doors on its next hypercar, completely flipping the script and taking cues from haute horology to create the all-new Tourbillon. On the latest episode of Bugatti’s ‘A New Era’ documentary series, the topic of discussion focuses on the marque’s decision to ditch screens and pixels to deliver a truly exceptional cabin experience for both drivers and passengers. Instead of doubling down on tech, Bugatti built an instrument cluster that feels closer to a mechanical watch than a digital dashboard. It was a conscious decision to make something that would still feel relevant decades from now, long after screen resolutions and UI trends have moved on. In watchmaking, the tourbillon is one of those ideas that exists purely because someone cared enough to chase precision at all costs. Bugatti borrowed that philosophy, not just the word. Rather than naming this car after a driver or a record, the brand partnered with Concepto, a Swiss brand accustomed to building complex mechanisms rather than car parts. What they created is an entirely analog cluster made up of more than 650 components, assembled and finished by hand using the same techniques you’d expect to find inside a high-end watch, not behind a steering wheel. The wild part is how far this pushed everyone involved. Watchmakers usually live in a world measured in millimeters. Here, everything is bigger, heavier, and expected to survive vibration, heat, and speed. That meant standard tools were useless, and new ones had to be invented just for this project. Finishes like guilloché, Clous de Paris, and engine turning are executed with the same care you’d see in fine horology. Functional rubies reduce friction, sapphire crystal protects key elements, and every gear inside the cluster is unique to the Tourbillon. What really brings it all together is the cluster's central position. Thanks to the fixed-hub steering wheel, the instruments are always perfectly visible, no matter how much you turn the wheel. It’s a constant reminder that this car was built with time in mind. In a world rushing toward digital everything, the Bugatti Tourbillon makes a strong case for slowing down and appreciating the mechanics that got us here in the first place. All Bugatti Inventory

Bugatti Celebrates A Century In Haute Horology As A Hyper...

From multi-million dollar hypercars to ultra-exclusive watches, Bugatti does it all. For over 115 years, Bugatti has built a reputation as an ultra-luxury automotive marque focused on pushing the boundaries of speed. Along with its pursuit of performance is the hypercar manufacturer's world-renowned craftsmanship, leaving no stone unturned with hand-building models like Bolide, Mistral, and Chiron. It's the type of craftsmanship and attention to detail found in luxury watchmaking, which is why Bugatti's involvement in horology dates back to 1925. From Mido watches gifted to Bugatti's top drivers and mechanics to the bespoke dashboard clocks in the iconic Type 41 Royale, watchmaking and automotive excellence have gone hand in hand. The partnership continued with Breguet crafting on-board chronographs. These early collaborations set the stage for a lasting relationship between the marque and the world of horology, where craftsmanship and innovation seamlessly intersect. Today, Bugatti's dedication to pushing boundaries in cars and watches has grown stronger. The partnership with Parmigiani Fleurier in the 2000s introduced the Bugatti Type 370 as a timepiece as revolutionary as the Veyron. More recently, Bugatti joined forces with Jacob & Co. to create exclusive models inspired by its hypercars. From the Twin Turbo Furious Bugatti Edition to the Chiron Tourbillon, each watch showcases intricate design details taken directly from the cars. The latest reveal, the Bugatti Tourbillon timepiece, honors the next-generation hypercar with its look. View all Bugatti hypercars for sale on duPont REGISTRY by clicking the link below. See Jacob & Co.'s New Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Delivery

Congratulations on your new Bugatti, Jacob! With a partnership that spans more than five years, Jacob & Co. and Bugatti share a similar brand DNA focused on design, performance, and engineering. And while most automotive-inspired watches only aesthetically resemble their counterparts with matching color schemes and branding, Jacob & Co. goes above and beyond by reimagining watches to mimic every inch of the hypercar. After being given the opportunity to configure his very own Bugatti, Jacob & Co. Founder Jacob Arabo has finally taken delivery of his very own Chiron Super Sport thanks to the hypercar professionals at Miller Motorcars of Greenwich, CT. The monumental occasion took place at Bugatti's production facility in Molsheim, where Jacob, his son Benjamin, and Miller Motorcars Sale Manager Even Cygler met to get a first glimpse at one of the best spec'd Chirons ever created. As the official watch partner of Bugatti and a believer in family and heritage, Jacob chose to finish his Chiron Super Sport in Bugatti's historic French Racing Blue. The blue and white color combination derives inspiration from the crashing sea's blue waters and white foam. Color-matched blue sports wheels and carbon ceramic brakes add a monochromatic touch that honors Bugatti's status as a hypercar pioneer. Inside, the Chirons driver-centric cabin presents a vibrant interior design that beautifully resembles the car's exterior. In addition, Bugatti used its bespoke expertise to embroider Jacob & Co. logos onto each headrest lower door panel. The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport showcases an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine that pumps out a staggering 1,577 horsepower. This powerhouse propels the Chiron from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds, with a top speed of 273 mph. Bugatti has fine-tuned every aspect to ensure the Chiron Super Sport delivers an exhilarating yet smooth driving experience. With plans on shipping the hypercar stateside, we cannot wait to see Jacob Arabo's new Bugatti Chiron Super Sport in person. Jacob & Co. Debuts Its New Hypercar-Inspired Bugatti Tour...

With a relationship built on ultra-exclusive watches and multi-million dollar hypercars, Jacob & Co. and Bugatti celebrate hyper horology through a collection of automotive-inspired watches that embody the same design, materials, and technology as their four-wheel counterparts. After honoring the Bugatti Chiron's legacy through a series of Chiron Tourbillon examples, each fitted with a W16 engine movement, Jacob & Co. is proud to help kick off the next era of high-performance hypercars with its all-new Bugatti Tourbillon watch. Limited to just 250 units, the Jacob & Co. Bugatti Tourbillon is the perfect blend of aesthetics, mechanics, and functionality. The first version, crafted in black DLC titanium, is even more exclusive, with only 150 pieces available. Measuring 52 x 44mm with a 15mm thickness, the case features a spear-heading front grille and side radiator inlets, all covered with a laser-etched grid pattern. Large sapphire openings on the sides, shaped and tinted like car windows, offer an up-close view of Jacob & Co.'s intricate JCAM55 movement, comprised of 557 components. The hour and minute hands are retrograde, completing a 270-degree arc before jumping back to zero, just like an rpm gauge. The legendary Bugatti logo is proudly displayed between the jumping hands, adding to the watch's automotive DNA. At the heart of the Bugatti Tourbillon is a miniature V16 engine block, crafted from a single piece of transparent sapphire. The engine block, with its 16 titanium pistons, is driven by a single-axis crankshaft, one of the most complex and delicate parts ever created in modern watchmaking. When activated, the crankshaft spins, and all 16 cylinders move up and down, mimicking a real internal combustion engine. This remarkable automaton sequence, complete with its own set of exhaust manifolds, lasts for 20 seconds. The Jacob & Co. Bugatti Tourbillon is a marvel of engineering and a true collector's item for those with an open order for Bugatti's new Tourbillon hypercar.
