Set against the stunning shores of Italy’s Lake Como, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is one of the world’s most anticipated and prestigious annual events. With a picturesque location, a gathering of stunning classics, and participation from many luxury and exotic car manufacturers, Villa d’Este is a place to showcase the highest echelon of automotive excellence.
One hypercar that will be on display at this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is the capricorn 01 Zagato, which is a lightweight, coachbuilt machine with a manual transmission and a supercharged V8 engine. We got to have a look at the car in Beverly Hills recently, and as the manufacturer prepares for production, a one-off is coming to the Concorso d’Eleganza.
With only 19 examples set for production, the one-off is the third prototype and features a beautifully unique configuration that was specified by a customer. It’s called the ‘Tutto Rosso,’ meaning ‘all red,’ and achieving the specification not only required bespoke design and craftsmanship, but also some engineering genius.

95 percent of the visible surfaces on the bespoke hypercar are finished in red, including the wheels, the bodywork, and a red-tinted carbon fiber monocoque. Inside, Connolly leather Alcantara upholstery continues the all-red aesthetic, and the vehicle simultaneously serves as a design masterpiece and a development car.

As the manufacturer prepares for series production of the new 01 Zagato hypercar, capricorn is showcasing the incredible design potential of the ultra-exclusive, lightweight, purist-focused hypercar model at one of the automotive world’s most prestigious venues, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
