Car collectors and enthusiasts may love everything on four wheels, but there are always a few brands that scratch a deeper itch, fueling that passion into a lifelong quest to own the best that one manufacturer has ever built. For Ferrari Brand Ambassador and collector, David Lee, who goes by Ferrari Collector David Lee on social media, describes himself and his love for the Italian prancing horse to a T. What started off as filling a garage with a diverse collection of Ferraris quickly evolved into the dream of owning The Big Five, including the 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari. Achieving that dream in a legendary shade of red, David Lee took things to a whole other level, earning his next life goal of owning the same five Ferrari icons in an even more rare color, yellow. Even after sourcing, purchasing, and building the ultimate collection of Ferraris, one car remains the dream of David Lee and every classic Ferrari lover: the Ferrari 250 GTO. That dream came true at Mecum Auctions’ Kissimmee 2026, where he purchased the highly anticipated 250 GTO Bianco Speciale for a whopping $38,500,000.

Now that the shock of the historic auction has settled, and the eight-figure Ferrari has finally arrived on the West Coast, to its forever home, David immediately hopped behind the wheel to film content and share this unbelievably memorable moment with fans and followers. The inaugural post on Instagram is a short clip of the only Bianco Speciale 250 GTO shifting through a few gears while on a spirited first drive, with the caption reading, “If you live in LA, you might see the Bianco Speciale in a neighborhood near you....”

Following what could only be described as music to our ears, the next post shared features the car beautifully contrasted among the sea of red and yellow, which sits in a class of its own. Sure, it's impressive to see what most see, which happens to be an extraordinary amount of money in one garage, but for Ferrari Collector David Lee and other like-minded purists, it's where a dream, hard work, and legacy of iconic Ferraris intersect. So, you have to wonder what’s next for Ferrari Collector David Lee, maybe red and yellow 250 GTOs.
