Fernando Alonso Enjoys a Proper Sunday Drive in his Aston...

Now we know what scratches the itch for a two-time Formula One World Drivers’ Champion. For most car lovers, it doesn’t take much to get the heart rate up; anything north of 400 horsepower, a clear stretch of road, and the right soundtrack will do the trick. But what about the drivers who spend their working lives north of 200 mph, braking impossibly late and living on the limit every other weekend? When that level of speed is your day job, it brings up the question: what, if anything, still scratches the itch for someone lucky enough to call themselves a Formula 1 driver? Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team driver Fernando Alonso gave us all a peek into what delivers that thrill for him, and it takes shape as Aston Martin’s V12-powered Valiant. Fernando took to Instagram yesterday to share photos of his casual Sunday drive through the hills of Monaco in his $2.5 million limited-production hypercar. The Valiant exists because even Aston Martin understands that some drivers want more than horsepower and modern tech; they want something raw, loud, and visceral. It’s a car built to feel closer to the company’s racing soul, stripping things back and turning the volume up for the kind of drivers, like Fernando Alonso, who still crave a challenge behind the wheel. With only 38 examples built for the world, Alonso’s stands out with a sinister exposed carbon finish that reveals its ultra-lightweight DNA and focus on delivering an unwavering driving experience. One of the most notable characteristics of his configuration has to be the aero-style monoblock wheels, adding a contemporary touch that blends with the body instead of stealing the show. The Instagram post even gave us a look inside where Aston Martin displays its exposed six-speed manual transmission like a work of art in a museum, offering the sounds and feels that check off all the boxes for a truly analog experience. At the heart of the Aston Martin Valiant is a twin-turbocharged 5.2L V12, the kind of engine that feels increasingly rare, and increasingly special, by the day. It sends 745 horsepower and 753 lb-ft of torque straight to the rear wheels through a proper six-speed manual gearbox, a choice that says everything about what this car is trying to be. There’s no electrification or trickery, just massive power, a clutch pedal, and the expectation that the driver is fully engaged. The result is a sub-three-second sprint to 60 mph and a top speed well north of 200 mph, delivered in a package that is less of a modern supercar and more like a last stand for old-school Aston Martin. Zlatan Ibrahimović Poses for Instagram on the Roof of His...

That's a $10+ million photo right there! Throughout its illustrious history as one of the most recognized manufacturers in the world, Ferrari has dreamed up and created some of the most legendary and celebrated supercars ever. From early Ferrari icons like the 250 GTO to modern marvels like the all-new F80, the Italian marque portions its busy production schedule for ultra-exclusive models bought by VIP clients. And while you may think that anyone with the means to afford one of these cars is given the opportunity to own them, Ferrari actually hand-selects limited-production model owners based on factors such as brand awareness, spending history, and, of course, what currently lies in the collection. For soccer phenomenon Zlatan Ibrahimović and his fleet of Italian prancing horses, he proves to be the perfect candidate for Ferrari's best of the best. Zlatan Ibrahimović is making waves on social media after recently sharing a photo on Instagram of himself posing on top of his Ferrari Enzo and Ferrari LaFerrari. The $10+ million photo comes just after spending some time in the Ferrari F80 design studio with Design Director Flavio Manzoni, a future glimpse at the next Italian hypercar to join the stable of Ferraris. Zlatan's Ferrari Enzo, named and engineered as an homage to the brand's founder, comes finished in a traditional Rosso Corsa finish and has skyrocketed in value well past the $5 million mark. As for the coveted Ferrari LaFerrari, and its status as one of the 'Holy Trinity' hybrid hypercars, it sports a vibrant Giallo Modena finish and also joins the Enzo as a seven-figure model that continues to appreciate by the day. While we may never actually know every car in Zlatan's collection, it's examples like his Daytona SP3, LaFerrari, Enzo, Monza SP2, and 812 Competizione A that make him a super-qualified buyer for Ferrari's most exclusive cars. And until the future delivery day of his upcoming F80 hypercar, Zlatan Ibrahimović will have to keep himself occupied with one of the many limited-production Ferrari supercars and hypercars in his garage. Check Out Joe Rogan's New Porsche 911 Build by The RSR Pr...

Joe Rogan adds another classic Porsche to his collection. Whether you're an A-list celebrity with a collection or the average Joe with enough garage space for a weekend canyon cruiser, everyone is fascinated by specific brands and models and how they fuel their automotive obsessions. For many, Porsche seems to be the common choice to fill that void in their life, specifically the 911 and its timeless styling, driver-centric DNA, and motorsport-inspired performance. One of Porsche's biggest fans actually happens to be a Joe, not an average Joe, but world-renowned American podcaster, actor, comedian, and former UFC commentator and television host, Joe Rogan. He's now making waves in the automotive world after recently collaborating on an Instagram post with The RSR Project, showcasing his brand-new Porsche 911 build. @kieranbuttrick Joining a diverse fleet that reflects Rogan's taste in everything from high-horsepower trucks to nut-and-bolt muscle car restorations, The RSR Project 911, named Silver 2, will reside next to other Porsches like his SharkWerks 997 911 GT3 RS, Porsche 964 911 RS America, and 993 Gunther Werks 911. Silver 2 Build features a stunning gloss silver finish that gives off the appearance of natural, bare metal perfectly sculpted into Porsche's iconic 911 silhouette. The massive rear duck tail spoiler, exposed center-exit exhaust, and legendary Fuchs wheels give this 911 such a presence, even while sitting completely still. @kieranbuttrick @kieranbuttrick Inside, the cabin has been completely stripped and re-upholstered in a period-correct style that breathes new life into the interior. Black leather bucket seats steal the show with bright red lap harnesses, while the cross-woven insert pattern is found stretched across the dash as matching trim. It's all about period-correct simplicity, with new seats, lightweight carpet, and clean finishes that make the car feel like it rolled straight out of the '70s. Subtly styled in a way that still preserves the history of early production Porsche 911s, it's clear that The RSR Project's mission is to keep these cars out of garages and on roads and tracks. @kieranbuttrick Building an RSR Project car is about creating a legend piece by piece. Starting with a 3.2 Carrera as the donor, the shell is transformed with steel flares, fiberglass panels, and fresh paint to capture the original RSR profile. From there, the mechanics get a full refresh, with rebuilt engines and transmissions, upgraded suspension, new brakes, and wheels that stay true to the iconic 2.8 RSR look. Every detail is done in-house, every step held to the same high standard, and the result is a car that looks, feels, and drives like the RSR dream, but built for real miles, not just showroom shine. And now that Joe Rogan holds the keys to his very own build by The RSR Project, we cannot wait to see him behind the wheel of Silver 2 and what he thinks of it. Sammy Hagar's Custom 1-of-1 Ferrari LaFerrari Sells At Au...

The rockstar's Italian hypercar is off to its new owner. With only 499 examples produced and allocated to Ferrari's most prominent clientele worldwide, the LaFerrari stands out as one of the most exclusive hypercars to leave Maranello. Amongst that long list of owners are celebrities like Van Halen rockstar Sammy Hagar, adding an extra cool factor to the ownership of Ferrari's first plug-in hypercar. The auction specialists at Barrett Jackson were recently proud to feature Sammy Hagar's 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari as part of its scheduled stop in Scottsdale, AZ, where it sold to a lucky new owner for a whopping $4.25 million. But what truly separates Hagar's LaFerrari from the other 498 chassis in existence, commonly configured in Red, Yellow, or Black, is its custom, one-of-one Creamy Cappuccino exterior finish. The bespoke touches continue into the cabin where the interior comes layered in matching cream leather with black contrast piping. Steering away from the traditional hues of Ferrari, Sammy Hagar's involvement and dedication throughout the configuration process led to the creation of one of the most spectacular LaFerrari specs ever made. To this day, the Ferrari LaFerrari remains an engineering marvel within the automotive world, showcasing a hybrid powertrain that competes alongside the latest and greatest hypercars. It comes powered by Ferrari's naturally aspirated 6.3L V12 engine with an electric motor that produces a combined 949 horsepower and 664 ft/lbs of torque. Setting a new world auction record for the year, Sammy Hagar's one-of-one 2015 LaFerrari is now on the way to its happy new home. Called the "Ed Bolian's Holiday Tent Sale," this collection of auction lots features cars straight from Ed's garage. You can watch the video up above to learn more about the cars and the auction itself. Down below are the cars that are part of the auction, ranging from the incredibly unique 6-wheeled Range Rover to his showstopping Lamborghini Diablo SV. You can learn more about each vehicle by clicking their respective buttons. Ed Bolian's Lamborghini Diablo SV "This 1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV is owned by VINwiki founder and prominent YouTuber Ed Bolian. The car is a European market example and spent most of its life in Japan, where it was significantly modified. Bolian purchased the car in June 2023 and imported it to the US, where it subsequently underwent further modifications that included installing various stock components in addition to a Gloss-It vehicle wrap in Atomic Lime." View Listing Ed Bolian's Giallo Modena Ferrari 430 Scuderia "Finished in Giallo Modena over Nero Alcantara, this 2009 Ferrari 430 Scuderia caught the eye of VINwiki founder and prominent YouTuber Ed Bolian as the perfect compliment to his same year example in Grigio Silverstone. With its focused interior and solid body color sans stripes, this Scuderia shines as a pure expression of the sports purpose platform. Not without memorable flair, yellow brake calipers and special stitching as ordered coordinate a sublime spec. Since the vehicle's brief tenure under Bolian's ownership, the selling dealer has tended to regular maintenance and mending. Now showing an odometer reading of just 21,000 miles, this Ferrari is sold with both a clean Georgia Title and clean Carfax report." View Listing Ed Bolian's Porsche Cayenne GTS "Embark on a journey through the legacy of the Porsche Cayenne GTS, a true icon in the realm of high-performance SUVs. Born in 2013, it carries the esteemed mantle of a 4.8L V8 powerhouse, boasting an all-wheel-drive spirit that has conquered 133,000 miles of adventures. This Porsche Cayenne drove in the 2023 North America Expedition and a plaque commemorates this trip on the vehicle's dashboard. With an orange, white, and black livery and #25 on both the passenger and driver side doors, it's not merely a vehicle; it's a vibrant expression." View Listing Ed Bolian's Ferrari GTC4Lusso "This 2017 Ferrari GTC4Lusso is owned by VINwiki founder and prominent YouTuber Ed Bolian. It was acquired by Bolian in 2022 and was subsequently featured in various YouTube programming. The car is finished in Nero Daytona over a Nero leather interior and features many desirable options. Outside, the car stands on 20" forged dark-painted wheels over red brake calipers and features Scuderia Ferrari shields, which, together with the sport exhaust system, allude to the car's racing heritage. Inside, the power-adjustable sport seats feature handsome Rosso leather inserts and Cavallino headrest stitching. The leather headliner and parcel shelf provide a touch of luxury, while the carbon fiber steering wheel serves as an additional racing nod." View Listing Ed Bolian's 6-Wheeled Land Rover Range Rover "This six-wheeled 1976 Land Rover Range Rover is owned by VINwiki founder and prominent YouTuber Ed Bolian. The truck was featured in the 2022 Christmas Special episode of the popular YouTube series Car Trek, where it was campaigned on various off-road trails in Oregon. It also appeared in videos produced by Bolian and fellow YouTuber and automotive expert John Ficarra before spending time on display at the California Automobile Museum in Sacramento." View Listing Ed Bolian's RUF Rt12 S "VINwiki founder and prominent YouTuber Ed Bolian spotted this 2006 RUF Rt12 S completely by chance on an unplanned stop during a Florida group drive. An aspirational vehicle for Bolian, his eventual purchase took many months to secure. This particular car's storied past later revealed manufacturer-performed upgrades and beyond-remarkable rarity for a vehicle produced after the millennium." View Listing Ed Bolian's Gated Manual Gallardo Spyder from Car Trek 1 "Originally finished in black over cream leather, this 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder remains largely as-shown in Car Trek 1. Vinyl decals and the car's Blu Le Mans PPF wrap conceal original paint and the black fabric convertible top is stated to function without issue. Items replaced under Bolian's ownership include rear main seal, throw-out bearing, clutch, and fuel pump. All four Pirelli tires mounted show 8/32 tread depth. Currently displaying an odometer reading of 15,575 miles, this Lamborghini is sold with a Rebuilt Salvage Ohio Title. Front trunk and included Georgia CARTREK license plate signed by Ed Bolian are included in the sale." View Listing Ed Bolian's Grigio Silverstone Ferrari 430 Scuderia "This 2009 430 Scuderia benefits from recent ownership by VINwiki founder and prominent YouTuber Ed Bolian. Finished in Grigio Silverstone over Rosso leather, the car is among few Ferraris favored by Bolian. Acquiring the vehicle in poor cosmetic condition, he soon tended to lackluster paint and separating interior components. Adding nearly 7,000 miles in his first week of ownership alone, Ed's enthusiasm for the Scuderia shines in his high praise of the model's engine, interior, and overall driving experience. The car's 502 horsepower, slick-shifting F1 automated gearbox, and tasteful optioning present its next owner a truly rewarding ownership experience ahead. Now showing an odometer reading of just 43,551 miles, this Ferrari is sold with both a clean Georgia Title and clean Carfax report." View Listing Ed Bolian's Cannonball Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow "This 1976 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is owned by VINwiki founder and prominent YouTuber Ed Bolian, and it was driven in the 2023 US Express cross-country cannonball event by Bolian and his team. The event saw the vehicle driven over 2,800 miles from New York to Los Angeles in 36 hours and 10 minutes. Before the event, the car underwent significant service work performed by DC MotorWerks to comprehensively address the car's systems and additional service was performed after the conclusion of the event. Before Bolian's purchase, the car spent four decades with one family, traveling extensively to locals such as the UK, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia with the Rolls-Royce Owners Club before eventually making its way to the US." Ed Bolian's 6-Wheeled Land Rover Could Be Yours As It Hea...

There is nothing that grabs attention quite like a six-wheeled automobile. With those two extra wheels, these vehicles are giants on the road and turn heads wherever they decide to roam. Ed Bolian's six-wheeled 1976 Range Rover is a perfect example of how wonderful these creations can be. With the classic Range Rover styling and the extra pair of wheels, this vehicle is a rare unicorn in the automotive world. And the best part is that it's heading to auction on SothebysMotorsport.com. Ed first purchased this car for a Car Trek overlanding series called the "Oregon Fail." Originally, the Rover was imported into the US back in June 2022. Shortly after landing, it was converted to left-hand drive and the SUV was rebodied with a 1989 four-door body. Thankfully, the original six-wheel chassis remained and was even restored and galvanized. Inside, the Range Rover features seats from a 1996 model but there is no third row. As Ed puts it, "There is not currently a third row or any jump seats fitted in the back. At 6’5” I can lay flat behind the seats." Cargo space is obviously not a pain point with this vehicle. " width="680"> Alongside the previously mentioned modifications, there was an abundance of other prep work Ed had done in order to get it ready for the Car Trek video. This includes, but isn't limited to, a 2-inch lift, custom roof basket, eight Hella basket lights, custom front bumper with a Warn VR Evo 10s winch, aluminum front skid plate, front differential guard, seven Falken WildPeak A/T3W 235/85r16 all-terrain tires, and more. Pushing the Range Rover along is a 1989 3.9-liter Rover EFI V8 engine with RPI engineering mods. The driveline, six-disc brakes, and mechanicals are also all from a 1989 Range Rover. Even though the engine may be older, it's proven to be quite the stout and reliable powerhouse for Ed during his journey. Then again, these older Range Rover engines are known for being quite reliable even with six-figures worth of miles are on the odometer. Recently, Ed has this Range Rover on display at the California Auto Museum where guests were able to gaze upon its overlanding glory. But now, it could be yours as it heads to auction. If you're interested, Ed notes that "there are kits to make it 6-wheel drive for about $10k and LS swap kits for $10-15k. These would make it supremely off-road capable but the vehicle is lovely to drive as it is." Set to hit SothebysMotorsport.com on December 14, 2023, this lot will most definitely have a lot of eyes on it so be sure to keep yours open for when it lands on the site. In the meantime, be sure to sign up to be a bidder so you're ready to go. Visit SothebysMotorsport.com

Ed Bolian's 2017 Ferrari GTC4Lusso Heads To Auction On So...

Automotive enthusiasts all know Ed Bolian as a true gearhead with a passion for automobiles and the host of the ever-popular VINwiki channel on YouTube. Over the years, Ed has collected several unique vehicles, each of which carries a fantastic backstory that make for great stories to tell on his YouTube channel. Coming soon to SothebysMotorsport.com is a collection of Ed's prized vehicles that will be auctioned off through the online platform, giving fans, collectors, and enthusiasts a chance to become the next chapter in one of his stories. One such vehicle that will be auctioned off is Ed's 2017 Ferrari GTC4Lusso. This four-seater Ferrari packs a powerful V12 engine that holds a special place in Ed's garage. Don't believe me? Just watch the video below where he refers to it as the "best Ferrari they've ever made." "My family and I have loved the car dearly this year. It is amazingly useful. My son and his friends love riding in the back," says Ed regarding this Ferrari being offered on SoMo. "We took it on two fairly long trips - once to Indianapolis for Breakfast at the Brickyard with Travis Bell and to a speaking engagement I had in Savannah." " width="680"> Okay, so if Ed really loves this Ferrari, why is he selling it? In his own words: "I am selling it for 2 reasons, I am out of space and the car is too good. When I have it, I drive it instead of cars like the Murcielagos and the Spyker because it is more comfortable, useful, and faster. I love those cars and want to drive them even though they are worse. This car has been standing in the way of that. It is the perfect enthusiast 1 car solution but that subverts my automotive masochism and my impractical, unreliable cars have been neglected. For these reasons, it must go. You will love it, your other cars will not." Building upon the foundation that the Ferrari FF laid, the GTC4Lusso is an incredible automobile even without an incredible backstory like this one. On the outside, the GTC4Lusso is as elegant as you'd expect from Ferrari but it's the inside that really breaks the mold of what you typically see from the Italian automaker. With two seats up from and two in the back, this grand tourer gives its driver and passengers an unheard-of amount of space that's not offered in your typical exotic car. And that's not even including the trunk space. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ed Bolian (@edbolian) The GTC4Lusso's accolades don't stop with looks and comfort. Underneath the hood is a 6.3-liter V12 that pumps out 681 horsepower and 514 lb-ft of torque. With V12s disappearing from lineups left and right these days, this is a wonderful chance to own the last of a dying breed. What's truly impressive about the GTC4Lusso's power is how it's handled. Unlike your typical grand tourer, this one has Ferrari's 4RM Evo, a four-wheel drive system that also boasts four-wheel steering. Having experienced this system for myself, I can say that no corner will be left unhugged by this car. Set to hit SoMo's online auction platform on December 14th, this 2017 Ferrari GTC4Lusso comes with a story, beauty, and raw power. Additionally, It comes with a warranty that remains in effect until January 23, 2024 (Ed strongly recommends continuing that coverage). Be on the lookout for more of Ed's cars being auctioned through SoMo in the coming days as there are more coming with backstories and, of course, VINwiki videos about each of them that you can show your friends. In the meantime, be sure to browse SothebysMotorsport.com for more incredible vehicles that are being auctioned off each and every day. Visit SothebysMotorsport.com

Tim Allen's 2017 Ford GT Up For Auction

Presented by Sackey & Co. | Online Supercar Auctions. Sackey & Co. | Online Supercar Auctions is proud to present this stunning 2017 Ford GT serial no. H074 finished in factory Ingot Silver over a Dark Energy interior and just 739 miles from new. This Ford GT was ordered new and owned until late 2021 by Golden Globe-winning actor and comedian Tim Allen. This Ford GT is live now for online auction on Sackey & Co., with bidding to conclude on May 31st. Background on the latest iteration of the Ford GT: In 1901, automotive engineer Henry Ford and his 26-horsepower car “Sweepstakes” famously won a Detroit-area race against local favorite Alexander Winton in his 70-horsepower “Bullet,” a testament to the lightness & reliability of the car Ford had created. His win would attract the publicity and investors that allowed him to start the Ford Motor Company less than two years later in 1903. Over a century later, in 2014, Ford quietly developed a twin-turbocharged V6 unit for prototype class racing, pushing it to an eventual win at the 2015 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. The engine took advantage of similar benefits to the V6 power units recently introduced in Formula 1 at the time, including better packaging, weight, & fuel efficiency versus the larger engines previously used. The spirit of this engine evoked that used by Henry Ford in his original racing car - a focus on innovative engineering over traditional thinking. Casual observers believed Ford was simply experimenting with a new racing engine, but the company had bigger plans ahead. The ultimate use for the engine was revealed to be a new purpose-built Ford GT race car, which would have the incredible task of a return to Le Mans to recapture the glory of Ford’s 1966 Ferrari-beating 1-2-3 finish, 50 years later to the day in 2016. Amazingly, they succeeded in achieving their objective, beating Ferrari once more for a 1st place class win and writing one of the great sports car & racing stories of all time! The road-legal variant of the Le Mans-winning Ford GT was developed alongside the race version, borne as a required homologation effort and additionally as a gift to the Ford faithful, with only 1,350 total units planned. Completion of said production run is on-schedule to end in just a few months’ time, all allocations having been sold out. Built by Ford affiliate Multimatic, who are essentially to Ford what Michelotto is to Ferrari, each new Ford GT is hand-built to order. The car on offer here is a stunningly handsome celebrity-owned example of this incredible racecar turned Supercar. The Ford GT on offer: Ford GT serial no. H074 and VIN number 2FAGP9CW3HH200074 was specified new by Tim Allen and delivered to him via Galpin Ford in North Hills, CA. Tim Allen sold this Ford GT in October 2021 at 671 miles to the current (2nd) owner, and it is presented here in excellent near-new condition at 739 miles from new. H074 was built to an understated no-stripe specification, with a total MSRP of $485,500.00. Options applied to this GT are summarized as follows: • Exterior carbon fiber package in gloss finish at $15,000 cost.• Lightweight carbon fiber wheels in gloss finish at $15,000 cost.• Brake calipers in Blue at $1,000 cost.• Indoor car cover in black at $750 cost. The Ford GT is the only current Supercar that can lay claim to not only being truly hand-built, but to being directly based on a Le Mans-winning racecar. Modern Supercars with such iconic racing heritage as the ‘17+ Ford GT are few and far between, cementing the car as a certain future collectible classic. View Listing
