Watch Travis Pastrana Attempt The First Airborne 360 In A...

Will this attempt of an insane stunt be successful? Travis Pastrana is one of the world’s greatest stunt drivers, with an illustrious rally career and a penchant for pulling off stunts that makes him one of the few drivers in the world who are able to pull of the moves that he can behind the wheel of any car. His latest car made for impressive stunts and tricks is a collaboration with Subaru Motorsports, the “Family Huckster,” which is based on the Subaru GL Wagon and is heavily modified for Gymkhana. The car and Travis Pastrana attempted an incredibly pioneering and ambitious stunt on Pastrana’s Channel 199 on YouTube in a new video. Given the car’s power and incredible engineering from both Hoonigan and Subaru Motorsports USA, the car is, on paper, able to do what it takes to perform an airborne 360 flat spinning jump. However, in a snowy landscape off of a ramp, is the car able to perform the unprecedented trick. Pastrana has wanted to perform the stunt for a long time, and the attempt seen in the new video on YouTube has been in the making for years. The video gives background on the difficulty of the stunt, and it chronicles the setup for the attempt that Pastrana made to achieve the unprecedented feat behind the wheel of the Subaru Huckster. Is the GL Wagon-based Subaru Huckster the car to complete the stunt, and is Travis Pastrana the driver to do it? View All Subarus For Sale " width="680">

Travis Pastrana's New "Family Huckster" Subaru GL Wagon-B...

Travis Pastrana is bringing a retro rally machine to the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Meet the “Family Huckster.” It’s a humble, boxy, and charming Subaru GL Wagon that Hoonigan and Subaru Motorsports USA have turned into a Gymkhana-bred racecar purpose built for Travis Pastrana to take on the Goodwood Festival of Speed, as well as the upcoming Gymkhana film for this year. Last year, Pastrana’s 2020 Airslayer STI took second place at Goodwood’s Hillclimb Shootout, and hopes are high for the Family Huckster to achieve another podium finish. Despite having retro looks, the car features active aerodynamics and extensive use of carbon fiber, and custom one-off KMC wheels inspired by the wheels Subaru actually offered in the ‘80s, except the ones on the race car feature a forged monoblock design that is modern, light, and durable. The look of the car embraces the boxy look of the original Subaru GL wagon, and features a flannel-like livery, along with a gauge cluster and dashboard that modernizes what the old car was known for, with digital readouts in the 1980s Subaru style, as well as a blue carbon fiber dashboard that mimics the blue dashboard of the old car. From 1983 to 2022, this zany take on the Subaru GL wagon is sure to cause a stir at Goodwood. Source: Hoonigan
