The McMurtry Spéirling is at the bleeding edge of performance engineering innovation, with ultra-lightweight construction, massive amounts of electric power, and an aerodynamic fan that provides such intense downforce that it can drive upside-down. Known as one of the world’s most celebrated action drivers and athletes, Travis Pastrana’s stunts and feats consistently push the limits of what is possible behind the wheel of a car, which makes the Spéirling the perfect challenge for the action sports icon.
Pastrana joined the McMurtry team and experienced the Spéirling at Dunsfold Circuit in England, and despite having more diverse and extreme driving repertoire than most people on the planet, the Spéirling proved to be an entirely new beast. The drive took place the day before this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, where Pastrana’s agenda included competing in the shootout competition, and taking to the track with an eclectic, varied range of vehicles.
About the hypercar, Pastrana commented, “Holy s***. That’s what I’m talkin’ about. You can do things you can’t do with any other vehicle… I’m going faster than I’ve gone in any vehicle I’ve ever driven in my entire life.” Part of the drive included a drag race where Pastrana could feel the impossibly quick acceleration of the Spéirling in a quarter-mile run.

With its uncompromising engineering, cutting-edge performance innovation, unfathomable downforce, and immense power, the McMurtry Spéirling represents a new benchmark in automotive performance, and with a history of driving some of the most extreme vehicles in the most extreme ways, Travis Pastrana is one of the few people living who can truly put the Spéirling to the test.
