Ares Design to Debut 4 Handbuilt Vehicles at Salon Privé

Mass production in the automotive world seems to be perfected. Even economy car factories employ 3D printing and laser welding, so what happened to all the coachbuilders? Ares Design is based in Modena, and they build everything the old-fashioned way. Nothing beats a handmade Italian masterpiece, so they will be unveiling four of their latest creations at Salon Privé. The U.K.'s most exclusive Concours will be the setting for Ares to display their interpretation of a Bentley Mulsanne 2-door coupe, two motorcycles, and the wild Panther ProgettoUno supercar. It was clearly inspired by another Italian, the DeTomaso Pantera. It packs 650 horsepower to reach 62 mph in 3.1 seconds with a top speed over 202 mph. Next to it will be their Scrambler and Cafe Racer bikes. Co-founder Danny Bahar said: "We are really looking forward to attending this year’s Salon Privé, especially after all the uncertainty of recent months. It will be a great opportunity for admirers to encounter ARES Design. ARES is a brand that you need to experience personally and superb gatherings like Salon Privé gives us a great opportunity to meet everyone and show off our creations in the historic surroundings of Blenheim Palace.” Stay with us for complete coverage of the event and for more wild builds from Ares Design. 1,250 HP @ 10,500 RPM Dual Front Electric Motors 1/4 Mile: 8.1 Seconds A team of engineers and artisans in Los Angeles have raised the bar for hybrid hypercars. After years of simulation and testing in a virtual world, their efforts have come to fruition. Celebrate the latest in American innovation as Czinger has unveiled the 21 C hypercar ahead of the Geneva Motor Show. The numbers speak for themselves. A 2.88-liter twin-turbo V8 uses a flat-plane crank to offer 1,250 horsepower at 10,500 rpm. It is coupled to a hybrid motor/generator to power individual motors for the front wheels. Body panels and much of the chassis is 3D printed carbon fiber, with final assembly done by hand. Founder & CEO Kevin Czinger (pronounced "Zinger") wanted a car with every part made in the USA. From seat brackets to lug nuts, each component was designed to be strong and light. With a dry weight of 2,608 lbs, it reaches 62 mph in 1.9 seconds. Tushek TS 900 H Apex to Debut at Salon Privé

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Balkans erupted into a decade of conflict. In today's automotive industry, the children who endured years of adversity are showing the world what they are capable of. Aljosa Tushek is a Slovenian racer who has made big news in the small nation. That is because the Tushek TS 900 H Apex will debut at Salon Privé. Much like his Croatian competitor to the south, the TS 900 has the potential to be a rival to Rimac. That is because it has a carbon fiber body and two electric motors. Those motors power each front wheel independently, but front-wheel-drive gets old after about 5 minutes. So thankfully, the TS 900 H Apex also includes a supercharged 4.2L V8 behind the cockpit. The total system output is 950 horsepower and 1,033 lb-ft of torque. They admit its not the most powerful hybrid, but they have an ace up their sleeve. By using pre-impregnated carbon fiber and a chrome-moly chassis, the car has a curb weight of 3,100 lbs. Aljosa had this to say about his car: "The Tushek team is delighted to be back at Salon Privé. Over the past years we have intensively developed and constructed advanced technological solutions for our new model, the TS 900 H APEX, in particular in the area of electric drive train. Those developments are now incorporated in our latest model and have been successfully tested in race-track conditions over the past months. Our team is looking forward to presenting our supercar to Salon Privé’s elite clientele." The event takes place at Blenheim Castle (England) from September 5th to 8th, so stay with us for more Tushek updates. Next to our exhibit will be the latest from Karma Automotive. They went back to the drawing board and entrusted the design of their latest model to Pininfarina. What they delivered is a stunning 2-door electric GT. So we're excited that the 2020 Karma GT will be unveiled at Pebble Beach. Don't be confused by the name, Karma still builds the Revero GT, an updated version of their first sedan. Updates to the Revero GT include dropping the Chevrolet engine in favor of the BMW i8's three-cylinder. This engine and generator were purpose-built to be a range extender so expect to see more performance and mpg from their sedan. As for the new Karma GT coupe, battery capacity and cruising range are being withheld until the 15th. We will be there, so be sure to stay tuned to our social media channels for all the info.
