MOPAR Announces Pre-Orders for 1,000 HP Hellephant HEMI

Last year at SEMA, MOPAR displayed a monster. Taking the same formula used in the Hellcat and the Demon, they whipped up a 1,000 horsepower version of their supercharged HEMI V8. You are probably thinking it needs race fuel like the Demon, but they were able to achieve that power on 93 octane pump gas. That's because they stroked the 6.2L to 7.0L, or 426 cubic inches. It also makes 950 lb-ft of torque, and today MOPAR announced pre-orders for the 1,000 hp Hellephant HEMI have begun. MOPAR is the performance division of Chrysler/Dodge/Ram/Jeep and formerly Plymouth (RIP). They developed the original 426 HEMI to dominate NASCAR and Drag Racing and it did both. NASCAR banned the engine, and all modern Top-Fuel and Funny Car engines are based around the HEMI. The press release reminds us that 4/26 is national HEMI day, and that MOPAR will be live streaming something wild at 4:26 p.m. (Eastern Time). The engine and supercharger (P/N P5160194 ) have a retail price of $29,995, and several accessories like Air Conditioning, oil filter relocation, and the accessory drive are available separately. This would be an easy swap into a Charger Hellcat, Challenger, Ram, (or Wrangler if you are nuts), but your stock transmission will be on death row. By Andrew Nabors –  February 15, 2019

2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock is a Retro-Inspired Throwback

Dodge has never been afraid of sorcerers or Demons, so they decided to build a mean truck in 1977. The blacked-out Ram had custom graphics and aggressive styling from the factory. Now its time for an encore performance with the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock. Just like its predecessor it is aimed at younger buyers. Starting with the imposing grille from the Ram Rebel, it rides 1" higher on 20" semi-gloss wheels. The bumpers are powder coated black and incorporate LED fog lights. Inside you are treated to Diesel Grey cloth and the intuitive 8.4" Uconnect touchscreen. Choose between the 305 hp V6 or the 395 hp HEMI V8, which also packs 410 lb-ft of torque. It can be ordered in RWD or 4WD in Quad Cab or Crew Cab bodies. Pricing starts at only $35,345, so this Warlock is sure to scare every other 1/2 ton pickup. 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody

By Andrew Nabors –  February 13, 2019

2019 Dodge SRT Hellcat Widebody Price, Specs, Photos, Review

As much as we loved the Dodge Demon, it had a few quirks. Aside from collectors hoarding them, there was no option for a manual transmission. That's why we jumped for joy for the 2019 Dodge SRT Hellcat Widebody. We spent a week with this stick-shift beast and it did not disappoint. If you want the power without the aggressive looks, the widebody package is optional. It should be standard thanks to the wider rubber at all corners. Starting with the most obvious aspect, the Tremec transmission was inherited from the Viper. The clutch is numb yet predictable, and the flywheel does a great job of keeping the blower spinning during off-throttle cornering. How Much is a Dodge Demon? View Complete Price & Specs 2019 Dodge SRT Hellcat Widebody Photos 2019 Dodge SRT Hellcat Widebody Engine It easily handles the 717 horsepower and 656 lb-ft of torque from the supercharged 6.2L. If you enjoy the occasional drag race, the 8.4" screen optimizes suspension, enables launch control rpm, and the 2019 Dodge SRT Hellcat Widebody has something you won't expect. A line-lock keeps the front brakes locked to allow the rear rubber to heat up. You will have consistent low 11 second times thanks to the after-run chiller. Once the car is shut down, an auxiliary electric water pump and the fans run for a few minutes to prevent heat soak. 2019 Dodge SRT Hellcat Widebody Specs Price: $62,190 Engine: Supercharged 6.2L V8 Transmission: Six-Speed Manual Horsepower: 717hp Torque: 656 lb-ft 0-60 mph: 3.5 seconds Top Speed: 199 mph 2019 Dodge SRT Hellcat Widebody Review After a week of driving, here is our consensus. Seating position and controls are excellent. Visibility is not as bad as the Camaro, but its close. The curb weight of 4,490 lbs is easily upset in the corners, so you need to be ready to wrestle the wheel. The power is incredible. It doesn't care what gear you are in, the 2019 Dodge SRT Hellcat Widebody acceleration is always available. Thirst is only quenched by premium fuel, and we were not able to get above 12 mpg. 2019 Dodge SRT Hellcat Widebody Price For under $70,000, it could be daily driven if you don't mind the price of fuel, your mileage may vary. Of course, this car is available as a narrow body, but it looks too close to all the V6 rental Challengers. It is worth the price to have so much fun! Dodge Demon Races Lamborghini Huracan in 1/4 Mile

Everyone knows that the Dodge Demon is a monster built for the drag strip. On Dodge's page for the Demon, they even tout a few of its accomplishments that would help it excel on the strip, like "World's Fastest 1/4-Mile Production Car" and "World's Fastest 0-60 Production Car." But how well does the Demon stack up against an AWD supercar like the Lamborghini Huracan? Dodge Demon Prices & Specs For that, there's DragTimes. In Brooks' latest video, he takes his Huracan out for races against a sharp green Demon. He notes in the video's description that the Demon is equipped with a race gas ECU, race air filter, skinny tires up front and Mickey Thompson tires in the back. After three races the results were still... inconclusive. Brooks notes that the first race involved some slippage, the second race was legit and the third race was legit. However, if you check the slip of the third race, you'll notice a massive difference in reaction time. Nonetheless, check out the video below to see the epic USA vs Italy drag race. Dodge SRT Challenger Hellcat Specs, Price, Photos & Review

Few cars are truly legendary, but the Dodge SRT Challenger Hellcat specs are simply amazing. You don't have to be a baby boomer to appreciate the bulked-up elegance of this sporty car that manages to combine nostalgia for the good old days with modern design and convenience. The Challenger Hellcat specs are those of an exciting, power-filled model that tops the American muscle car market by impressing critics and car lovers alike. Buyers get style, power, and speed for their money in this widebody car. Only drivers seeking adventure need apply for this automotive experience. While it handles so well anyone can drive it, this model would be wasted on drivers who only see a car as transportation. Challenger Hellcat Engine The Hellcat has a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 gas engine that provides 717 hp @ 6200 rpm and 656 lb-ft. @4800 torque.  It is thanks to a 2.4-liter supercharger along with an aggressive ignition profile. Each piston has its own oil squirter that prevents detonation by cooling them at Bottom-Dead-Center. That impressive amount of power can propel you around a track or be contained for a super Sunday drive with the family. The gas mileage stays reasonable with an estimated highway MPG of 21 and city MPG estimated at 13. One of the Challenger Hellcat specs that is most intriguing are its dual key fobs. The black key fob cuts the car's power to 500 hp and shuts down some of the features, allowing less adventurous folks to drive it in comfort. The red key fob gives you the Hellcat unchained and releases all the power and speed you can handle. The computer incorporates emergency brake assist and hill hold control along with the stability system. The massive 6-piston front and 4-piston Brembo brakes have 15.4 vented and slotted rotors for exceptionally high performance. This powerful braking system can handle the SRT's off-the-charts engine, and it has been embraced by the aftermarket as an upgrade for classic Dodge, Plymouth, and other MOPAR Muscle Cars.  Challenger Hellcat Design The Challenger Hellcat specs are built with all the muscular features you could possibly want. Dodge produces these cars in bold colors and lets you add modern hood stripes as well as classic side stripes and graphics. You can also choose a Shaker hood design or power bulge aluminum hood among other tough-looking elements. Your Challenger will never blend in with traffic. Hennessey Announces 1,200 Horsepower Hellcat Redeye The design also makes this powerhouse easy to handle. The long wheelbase and balanced chassis mean that drivers can safely indulge themselves with power runs at the track. You get all the thrills of the racing life with the addition of stability and comfort. The wheelbase for the SRT Hellcat SRT is 116.2, the length is 197.5, and the height is 55.7. The base curb weight is 4448 lbs. This model has a rear wheel drive and an 18.5-gallon fuel tank capacity. All these specs add up to an impressively wide, power-charged road monster of a car. Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Price The SRT Challenger Hellcat price starts at $64,295 but can range upward depending on the options you choose. Unlike many mass-produced cars, you can still order a new Challenger Hellcat specs at the dealer. The first option will be the 8-speed automatic. The six-speed manual is no charge, but the automatic transmission adds $2,995 to the sticker. The next upgrade would be forged wheels at $995, and the 3.09 differential. It offers much better acceleration than the 2.62 gears found on normal Hellcats. A Harmon-Kardon audio system is $1,595, and the widebody package is $6,000. If you don't need rear seats, it will arrive without them for $1 more.  Challenger Hellcat Interior The exterior is impressive, but the interior keeps up with lots of design touches that add comfort and style. Buyers will enjoy leather or premium synthetic seats as well as a power driver seat and heated front seats. There is a pass-through rear seat and a 2nd-row bench seat which means the car can handle up to five passengers. Other wild Challenger Hellcat specs include a power tilt/telescoping steering column, fixed rear windows, illuminated front cupholder, rear cupholder, compass, Dual-zone front automatic AC, cargo area concealed storage, and two 12V DC power outlets. The Challenger SRT also features a navigation system and an onboard hands-free communication system with wireless cell phone hookup. Challenger Hellcat Standout Features This road warrior hasn't left civilization behind. The Challenger comes with keyless entry, backup camera, trip computer, universal garage door opener, optional remote engine start, HID headlights, alarm, and power door locks. The interior is aggressively modern. The Challenger also comes with an impressive warranty. Basic coverage includes three years or 36,000 miles. The drivetrain is covered for five years or 60,000 miles. You are protected against corrosion for five years and unlimited miles, with roadside assistance covered for five years and 60,000 miles. Additionally, the US NHTSA crash test gave the Challenger RST 5 stars, which means you can feel good about transporting family and friends. The Challenger Hellcat specs maintain its legendary reputation in the 2018 model year. And they do so while also incorporating a more modern exterior design as well as many interior comfort features. While the car looks to be a monster vehicle on the road, it's certainly not a monster to drive. You can have your grandmother take it to church and then you can drive it to the track later. Critics and buyers agree that the Challenger SRT lives up to the hype and is well worth the money. The American muscle car is still thriving, especially with the continued evolution of the Challenger series. View All Challenger Hellcats For Sale " width="680">

Dodge Demon Races Hayabusa Bike for Rematch

The Dodge Demon was created to be a monster on the drag strip and put fear into its competitors. Dodge seriously went all out with the Demon in order to make it a beast and they were successful on all accounts. In fact, they were so successful that the car was reportedly banned by the NHRA in drag strip races (unless you fit it with additional safety equipment and get a competition license). One owner of the car that has been getting every bit of horsepower out of his Demon is the YouTuber Demonology. He's been posting up plenty of videos of his Demon taking on racers at drag strips. However, it seems he needed a rematch against a Hayabusa. From what I can gather, they raced against each other in an 1/8-mile but it was difficult for the Hayabusa to launch. So, they went to the 1/4-mile and went at it again. Check out the race for yourself in the video below! Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye in Action!

Sometimes a caption isn't needed. Dodge took this approach on YouTube with the latest footage of the Challenger Hellcat. Ok, officially it is the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widedody. It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue like "Demon". Since the 2018 Dodge SRT Demon was a limited run, this is as close as we will get to a successor.FCA Confirms Production of the Hellcat-Powered Ram TRXThe Hellcat Redeye doesn't include a crate of tools or the ability to run on race fuel. It does offer 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque. Healthy numbers to say the least, so they decided to turn it loose on a closed track. Kermit said it best: "It's not easy being green". Dodge says otherwise with this Challenger Redeye, and so does its screaming supercharger. 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 - WOW

Dodge has revamped almost everything for 2019. The SRT Hellcat Challenger now has a Redeye package that takes it to 797 horsepower. But if you don't need all that, the R/T Scat Pack 1320 makes the Challenger a star of the drag strip. Based on the proven 392 Hemi, it offers 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. No turbos, no supercharger- All Motor! The Dodge press release also says Don Schumacher will paint one of his Top Fuel cars to match this new production model, with his star driver Leah Pritchett behind the wheel.SRT tuned the active suspension and let the Scat Pack borrow the Hellcat's Trans brake, Torque Reserve, Drag Mode, Line Lock and brutal 41-spline axles. The most surprising standard feature is a driver's seat, all other seats are $1 options. Nexen supplied their latest 275/40/20 SUR4G drag radials to offer 1/4 mile times of 11.7 @ 115 mph. This makes it the fastest naturally aspirated street legal car on the market. Click the link below to find a dealer near you and get ready to go racing.Browse Dodge Challengers For Sale

2019 Dodge Charger Hellcat Updated and More

The Dodge Hellcat Charger hasn't received the same attention as the Challenger, mostly due to the build of the SRT Demon. But now it is time to give their popular sedan a few nice upgrades for 2019. Offered in six trim levels, the V6 GT model uses SRT technology and suspension for a fun RWD sedan. The SXT package now includes AWD. You can even order a 5.7L Hemi with AWD if you happen to be a police officer. Dodge won't sell civilians this package which makes us question their logic. Last Demon and Viper Bring in 7 Figures at Barrett-Jackson Northeast If you do want Hemi V8 power, the R/T Scat Pack and the SRT Hellcat have received some "demonic" hardware. The Scat Pack arrives with the 6.4L 392 Hemi offering 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. A new switch on the dash activates the launch assist and the line lock. Houndstooth interior is standard while Bilstein active suspension and a matte black hood are optional. The Hellcat has Torque Reserve and the After-Run chiller added to the supercharger. The new grille has dual air inlets to feed the 707 horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged V8. With 650 lb-ft of torque, it remains the most powerful American sedan.
