Dream Ride Experience 2019: An Automotive Event Like No O...

Dream Ride Experience 2019: The Most Inspiring Automotive Event By Edward Jones I've come across many automotive events in my years, but the Dream Ride Experience in Farmington, Connecticut will stand out as the most inspiring and moving event that I've attended. The Dream Ride Experience 2019 was the 19th annual event and it was unlike anything I've ever attended. While there was an incredible showing of cars, what stood out during the Dream Ride Experience was the amount of heart behind this event. Dream Ride Experience is the signature fundraising event of The Hometown Foundation, Inc, a 501 (c)(3) charitable foundation that centers around individuals with intellectual disabilities, individuals with a major illness, animal welfare, emergency response personnel and the military. Dream Riders are special guests of the event who take center stage during the entirety of the weekend.  It was all started by Michael Bozzuto, a man with one of the largest hearts I've seen. Just about everyone I had talked to at the event had a story regarding Mr. Bozzuto and how he would drop everything for one of his Dream Riders. His generosity has culminated into the Dream Ride Experience, where everyone attends with an open heart, ready to help. For the Dream Ride Experience, Special Olympic athletes and more were invited out for a weekend that they would never forget as dream riders and the stars of the weekend. From the Dream Cruise to the dancing parties, it was impossible to not find a smiling face.  Saturday - Dream Cruise 2019 For the Dream Cruise, Dream Riders are paired up with classic and exotic cars and sat passenger for a 12-mile cruise. Police escorts guided the cruise out of the Farmington Club and onto the 12-mile path ahead. Streets were lined with spectators who were waving to the Dream Riders, cheering them on as they drove off in what I consider to be the largest envoy of exotic, luxury and classic cars I've ever witnessed.  Upon arriving back at the Farmington Club, Dream Riders were presented with a red carpet that guided them into a massive tent. This is where the party began. DJ LAZ and Rubix Kube were the musical guests for the night, playing tunes that kept the Dream Riders dancing throughout the night.  There may be no shortage of rallies in the United States, but the Dream Cruise is something completely different. Honestly, you have to see it to believe just how special it really is. Sunday - Dream Show 2019 If you thought the East Coast couldn't put on a massive car show, the Dream Show is here to prove you wrong. When I stepped onto the field Sunday morning, I was blown away with the sheer number of cars attending. Local dealerships like Miller Motorcars, Ferrari of New England and McLaren Boston came out in full-force and attendees came in droves with cars of their own. When all cars were parked, there were hundreds of incredible cars parked on the Farmington Club grounds.  Cars like the De Tomaso P72, Koenigsegg Jesko, Pininfarina Battista, Bugatti Chiron, Koenigsegg Agera, McLaren Senna and many others were on display. I think I counted almost 10 Sennas in attendance to give you an idea of just how wild it was.  Throughout the day, judges walked around the endless amount of cars to pick winners and guests were voting on the duPont REGISTRY People's Choice Award winner. The winner was actually an incredibly rare 1967 Ford Mustang that was built in Venezuela. After talking to the owner, we learned that his grandfather had purchased it new and it had been imported decades later. Now, the current owner regularly drives the Mustang to car shows, track days and charitable events. To cap off the day, Dream Riders presented The Hometown Foundation, Inc. with a massive $2.4 million check. That's what this is all about. No matter what coast you're on, the Dream Ride Experience is one event that you don't want to miss. There's so much to be seen and so many emotions to be felt at the event that everyone, even those who don't care about the car, will leave with a smile on their face. Next year will be their 20th annual event and Mr. Bozzuto promises it will be the biggest Dream Ride Experience yet. Visit DreamRide.org for More Info

Exotics on Broadway 2019 Recap

If you were in Monterey for Car Week, you might have been anticipating Exotics on Cannery Row. Well, they outgrew their first location. Working with the City Government, they were able to secure a bigger and better venue in Seaside, California. Our team said it was an epic event, so here is Exotics on Broadway 2019 recap. We would like to thank the staff and volunteers who allowed our latest magazine to be included with every Goodie Bag. The streets were flooded with social media stars from around the world and several celebrities. Aside from Dennis Rodman, notables included Horacio Pagani, Christian von Koenigsegg, Steve Saleen, and Jerod Shelby. It was definitely the largest gathering of Ferrari F50s in years, and it could be the record for Pagani and Koenigsegg models together at one event. Of all the owners in attendance, we must applaud @langlem @koenigseggautomotive @sparky18888. A young man with a degenerative nerve disorder wished to visit Top Marques Monaco, but doctors wouldn't let him travel. He and his parents surprised him with tickets to Exotics on Broadway and they were elated when he was able to sit in a few of the cars. Jonathan and his father Garry Sadly, he passed away a few days ago. From his parents' Facebook post " Thank you for giving him the experience of a lifetime! You made him so happy, he was still showing his car pictures to his doctors a few minutes before he passed away very peacefully with the biggest smile! His heart is so full! Thank you, everyone." We should all be thankful to enjoy our passion together, and use it to bring happiness to those that need it. Our condolences to Garry & Regina. Exotics on Broadway is a must-see event, and they sold out every ticket. We know of no other show that combines the latest and greatest in the automotive world. https://www.facebook.com/eobshow/videos/2360776574135609/ Related: Pebble Beach Concept Lawn 2019 duPont REGISTRY Live at Pebble Beach

Pebble Beach Concept Lawn 2019

Just inside the main entrance to Pebble Beach is the Concept Lawn. Only the best concepts in the world are invited, and we were there as they rolled in. Here they are in no particular order, so tell us your favorite in the comments below. Bugatti La Voiture Noir "The Black Car" This masterpiece is 1 of 1 and inspired by the classic Type 57. That is why NMOTO builds a modern interpretation on a new BMW R9T chassis. Not only is it fuel-injected, but it is also the first motorcycle ever invited to the concept lawn. Learn More Bentley EXP 100 GT Here is Bentley's vision of an autonomous future. It will be used to influence new styling and technology for years to come. Pagani Huayra BC Roadster The Huayra BC Roadster is named after Benny Caiola, a close friend of Mr. Pagani, and his first customer. McCalls Motorworks Revival 2019 - Ford GTs

By Andrew Nabors –  August 19, 2019

28th Annual McCall's Motorworks Revival Recap

Our friend Gordon McCall has been gathering the best in cars, aircraft, and luxury for nearly 3 decades. It has evolved into one of the must-see events of Monterey Car Week, and it takes place at the Monterey Jet Center. Starting with the amazing aircraft on display, it was wild to see a B-25 Bomber and P-51 Mustang alongside a Gulfstream G500 and a Cessna Citation Longitude. Also on display were the latest models from Dassault, Pilatus, Piper and Embraer. You probably know we have an affinity for nice watches, so the latest in timepieces were on display from Bremont, Eberhard & Co., H. Moser & Cie., Kerbedanz, Reservoir Watch SA, & Chronoswiss A.G. Cars are the reason for the event, so we were witness to the unveiling of the new Ford GT MKII track car along with the RUF CTR Anniversary supercar. Notable classics included one-of-two 1978 BMW 320 Turbo lightweight racers. The man himself, Gordon McCall had this to say: "The California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation had a hugely successful night and variety of automobiles and aircraft, along with these unique displays have made 2019 one of our most successful events to date. We hope we can continue to grow McCall’s Motorworks Revival as one of Monterey’s must-see events in 2020 and beyond.” Tell us your favorite Monterey event in the comments below and stay with us for all Monterey coverage.
