A LOOK INSIDE | Past and Future of Exotics on Las Olas

Presented by Exotics on Las Olas, By: Andrea Arandia, Dawson Pritchett, Lily Lindquist The Beginning The concept for Exotics on Las Olas was born about three years ago when Dawson Pritchett from the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau was introduced to Floyd Rag during Floyd’s SuperCar Saturdays Florida event at Lamborghini Broward. It was then and there that Dawson and Floyd started talks about potentially producing a larger, annual car show somewhere in Broward County. The goal was to create a unique event featuring a carefully selected collection of automobiles - A showcase of the rarest, luxurious, exotic, super, hyper, custom, classic, vintage, and collector cars. After much consideration, they decided that Las Olas Boulevard provided the ideal setting for such a show, along with a matching target demographic of attendees for the shops and restaurants. Dawson and Floyd started to form a production team. They recruited a few key players such as Jon Hirsch, Amber VanBuren from the Las Olas Association, Andrea Arandia from 1+1 Media, Lily Linquist and Ron Watkivs. This team was in charge of the production and execution of the inaugural event. Under the direction of Stacy Ritter, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau was not only able to help create the event but became the Title Sponsor. Andrea Arandia, Jon Hirsch, Floyd Rag, Dawson Pritchett, Amber Vanburen A look inside - Barry Skolnick & Ikonick Motors Some of the amazing automobiles you’ll see at Exotics on Las Olas this year are provided by lkonick Motors, a passion project of participant and philanthropist, Barry Skolnick. Some may know Barry from his recent project, the new seven-story Skolnick Surgical Tower at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach. The Exotics on Las Olas team visited lkonick Motors to get an idea of what we’ll be seeing on the streets of Las Olas in November. Though only a fraction of Barry's collection was there, it did not disappoint. For the gearheads reading this, Barry owns it all. His collection ranges from 50's American Classics to Hyper-cars like Ferrari LaFerrari, Lamborghini SVJ, a Maserati MC12, multiple McLaren Sennas, Porsche 918 Gulf Edition, DeTomaso, and he has an Apollo IE on order, just to name a few.  lkonick Motors has always been a dream for Barry and will soon be one of the largest supercar showrooms in the world. While we have a pretty good idea of what is in store for the show this year, we can only show you a few of the cars here and you will have to come to Exotics Las Olas to see all of the cars for yourself! In its inaugural year in 2018, over 30,000 attendees visited Exotics On Las Olas, featuring over 300 of the rarest and most valuable vehicles from around the world. Presented in partnership by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Las Olas Association.  The 2018 event attendance far exceeded expectations, and this year we are on target to do it again with even more visitors projected to attend and even more amazing cars on display. And it’s all for a great cause, as well. Exotics on Las Olas is held on Veteran’s Day and the proceeds of this event benefit The Wounded Veteran's Relief Fund. For event information visit exoticsonlasolas.com & connect on Social Media @exoticsonlasolas . Presented by Exotics on Las Olas Some of the rarest, most striking automobiles descended on the renowned Las Olas Boulevard in the heart of Fort Lauderdale for the first annual Exotics on Las Olas last year and we are back in 2019!

Prestige Imports Halloween Supercar Run 2019: Over 130 Su...

An incredible amount of extraordinary vehicles were on display at the 8th Annual Halloween Supercar Run, which took place this weekend in North Miami Beach, Florida. Prestige Imports owner Brett David was up to his old tricks and had a day full of treats in store for all who attended this year's record-breaking day of activities and events. view prestige imports' inventory In its eighth year, the 2019 Halloween Super Car Run took place this Saturday, October 26th at Prestige Imports Biscayne Boulevard campus (authorized sales and service for Lamborghini/Pagani/ Lotus/Karma). At 1 PM vehicles started arriving and Prestige’s staff began systematically staging vehicles for the day's events. Hundreds of owners and guests, dressed in amazing Halloween costumes along with 132 exotic cars and supercars graced Prestige Imports 10+ acre property. Attendees were treated to a catered lunch followed by a special vehicle announcement and unveiling. Mr. David invited everyone to the Prestige Imports 2.0 showroom for a very unique art vehicle premier. The capacity crowd moved to the Mixed Exotic Auto/Aero showroom for the first look at the 2020 Karma Revero GT Black Tape Project. After the unveiling, the crowd moved back to the dealership's main lot, for the results of the costume contest, and then David explained the rules for the next phase of the day's event, an escorted drive to the Homestead-Miami Speedway, 45 miles south. Escorted by a dozen Miami Beach Police Cruisers, SUV's and motorcylce officers, 132 vehicles filed out one by one and headed south to the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Upon arrival at the speedway, participants were briefed on track etiquette and grouped by driving/track experience, and then allowed to take their supercars on the track for hot laps. Dinner was served in the exclusive speedway ”Victory Lane Cub” as drivers continued to take turns on the raceway. On the track, drivers were able to truly experience the power and performance of their unique vehicles. Drivers were sent out staggered, one at a time, for non-competitive laps where safety and a controlled performance ownership experience were the goals.  Brett David punctuated the spirit of the day by donating proceeds of the day's events to his signature charity, Ride2Revive. This charity was started by David and his family, and it's dedicated to lifting the spirits of children undergoing treatment for life-threatening diseases at multiple children's hospitals in the South Florida area. Prestige Imports Annual Halloween Supercar Run is truly a unique event, one that brings out incredible vehicles as well as the inner child in those people fortunate enough to own them.   view prestige imports' inventory Image Credit: John Barreto, Jack Wernet

Nashville Auto Show 2019 Recap

Halloween is just around the corner, so we decided to scare everyone a little early. We picked the meanest and cleanest cars and trucks in the Cumberland River Valley, so here is the Nashville Auto Show 2019 Recap. First in were three Corvettes. Not exactly full-size, these 2/3rd scale replicas are powered by a 107cc V-Twin and capable of 40 mph. Built by Mini Cars Inc, the pedals are easily adjustable for drivers up to 6'1". Then we heard a beast approaching. Brown Lee Ford sells more Hennessey trucks than anyone else, so the Velociraptor 6X6 was followed by a Harley-Davidson F-150 from Tuscany. Other goodies included a lowered standard cab with a Roushcharger and a Tuscany Black Ops Chevrolet Silverado. Another Brown Lee Ford Exclusive is the 2020 Gulf Edition Mustang. Only 119 cars will be built, and this is the prototype. It has a proprietary supercharger, intake, and exhaust to make 800 horsepower. It was the same car that was on display at our Pebble Beach booth. Taggart Scout travels the world looking for rust-free examples of the International Harvester, and their unbeatable restorations ride on a new 2-door Wrangler chassis with HEMI power. McLaren Philadelphia along with their parent company,  RDS Enterprises were proud to show off their collection of Lamborghinis, an Urus and Huracan Performante Spyder were joined by a 720S Spider, McLaren GT, and a 570 GT4.   Jaguar/Land Rover of Nashville arrived with a Range Rover SVR, F-Type SVR, F-Pace, and the new all-electric I-Pace. Carlock Motors was happy to display two Aston-Martin Vantages along with an Alfa-Romeo Ghibli and a GranTurismo convertible. Their R8 Spyder looked great nose-2-nose with Velocity Motorcars' R8 Coupe. Other Velocity Motorcars included a Lamborghini Huracan in Blu Achelous, Ferrari 458 Speciale in tri-color matte paint, and a Jack Roush Edition Backdraft Racing Cobra. Mercedes of Music City had 5 new 2020 models on display and BMW of Nashville arrived with 5 M Division and M-Sport models. Audi of Nashville and Porsche of Nashville brought a complete lineup, including a Panamera in bright green. Looking down from our VIP Suite, it was easy to see how the crowds were amazed by our dealer's inventory. A big thanks to Zack & Karrah Yanta, Tanner Mashburn, and the building staff of the Music City Convention Center. https://www.facebook.com/brownleefordtn/videos/2174100342891496/
