duPont REGISTRY Live: Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Preview

Our 2018 show season kicks off with one of the biggest automotive events of the year. We've been a sponsor of Barrett-Jackson's Collector Car Auctions from the beginning. Every year, our goal is to offer an experience unlike any other- and you won't be disappointed. Our booth is located in the sponsor tent, and we have invited our clients along for the week. First in was Airstream, with a new example of their EXT Lounge. These comfy cruisers are based on the efficient Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and feature every luxury imaginable. The turbo diesel V6 offers 22 mpg, and the competition doesn't even come close. Fusion Luxury Motors are the only licensed builder of the Eleanor Mustang, and they also specialize in offering street legal Land Rover Defenders. By swapping in a late-model Camaro SS drivetrain, the Defender is emissions legal and ready to hit the trails. Our local Jeep addicts at Bruiser Conversions have transformed a Wrangler Unlimited into a V8 powered truck. Coating every surface with a proprietary composite, their juiced-up Jeeps are awe-inspiring.Stärke arrived with their Revolution 357 Speedster. A modern take on the classic Porsche, they will transform any 1997-2012 Boxster into a faithful replica of the 356. All the modern power & conveniences are not lost in the build which makes the 357 worthy of any collection. If your factory wheels are uninspiring, Lexani brought their new 2018 designs. A display of gorgeous alloys takes center place in the booth, and it is flanked by a late model Porsche 911 and a Bentley GTC wearing their new designs.Only 40 Lamborghini Centenarios were produced, and our friends at Lamborghini-McLaren of Scottsdale arrived with one of the rarest cars of recent history. Next to it is a new Callaway Z06 Corvette. The limited edition Carbon 65 celebrates the anniversary of Chevrolet's sports car, and it is being raffled by Ronald McDonald House. Stop by the booth for a great deal on tickets, or click here to help support families. If you are looking for a new & unique dealer experience, iLusso in Newport Beach has an amazing inventory. They arrived with a bright green Porsche 911 GT3RS, a Koenigsegg CCX, and a Pagani Huayra.Next to them is Vanderhall Motor Works. They arrived with new versions of the Laguna, and it's electric sibling, the Edison. American made 3-wheelers are a great combination of fun & efficiency.Big thanks to Matt Fink for the photos, his work speaks for itself. If you can't make it to the show, our Facebook page will have live coverage. Friday night will be the 4th year of our After Party at the W Hotel. We already have several hundred confirmed guests, so we're looking forward to a fun weekend. Stay with us for complete coverage of Barrett-Jackson's 2018 season.

300+ Exotics Gather For Toy Rally 2017

This is the time of year to think of those less fortunate. Kids shouldn't go without a Christmas gift, so the Marine Corps does a great job with the Toys for Tots program. In order to make sure South Florida gives its fair share, the Toy Rally completed their 12th annual event. The last 3 years were plagued by bad weather, but the skies were clear for this year's run. Officially known as the "South Florida Exotic Car TOY RALLY", it is made possible by being fully supported by state and local law enforcement.2017 South Florida Exotic Car Toy Rally for Toys for TotsIt is hard to find a meeting space for over 300 exotic cars, so Goodyear opened the doors of Airship Base.Attendees were treated to a nice meal with the backdrop of the big Wingfoot One. It looks like a blimp, but Goodyear partnered with the Zeppelin company to build a new generation of Airship. The starting point was the BB&T Center, which is home to the Florida Panthers. Marines collected $75,000 in cash and cheques, along with 100% of proceeds from the event's auction. At the end of the run, the Corps had a mountain of toys on their hands. We are very blessed to be part of this hobby, so think about the little ones this year and check out the highlights in the video below.

Hypercars Race to Gooding & Co.'s Scottsdale Auction

Gooding & Company is unleashing a group of hypercars and supercars at their Scottsdale 2018 event that will bring in hefty sums of money. During the two day auction, running January 19 and 20, 2018, four very special models will be crossing the block.First up is a 2014 Pagani Huayra that's estimated to sell for $2,200,000-$2,600,000. This example was special ordered in Carbonio Rosso, which is an exposed red carbon fiber body. It comes with less than 1,000 miles clocked on its odometer and even includes its custom-order luggage.Next up is a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder estimated to garner hammer price of $1,800,000-$2,200,000. The customer who ordered this car made it a one-of-one with its Guards Red exterior over a Garnet interior. Also included are carbon fiber and Porsche "special wishes" features. Most important, its ran for under 100 miles, making it almost brand-new.Coming from England for the event is a 2015 McLaren P1 estimated to fetch $1,800,000-$2,200,000. Being one of 375 examples, this hypercar is a rare treat. This example is finished in a Special Carbon Black livery and has traveled less than 1,700 miles. As you can see there's a trend with all of these cars that Gooding & Co. is offering: they're all low-mileage.Lastly is a car that's not technically a hypercar, but it's just as rare as one. The 2012 Lexus LFA that will be auctioned off in Scottsdale comes with the Nurburgring Package, making it one of just 50 LFA's that were ever created with the package. Remember how I noted that all of these cars were low on miles? This LFA has under 60 miles clocked. That's very low. The Scottsdale auctions will take place on January 19-20, starting at 11:00am on both days, at the Scottsdale Fashion Square. For more information, visit goodingco.com.Learn More

duPont REGISTRY's Top 10 Guide To Monterey Car Week

We've been a part of car week in Monterey since 1985. With so much to see and do, planning an itinerary can seem overwhelming. That is why we have distilled the week's events into the 10 essential events of the week. You can view them below, ordered in no certain way. Be sure to check out the ones that you can! 10. Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion Billed as the largest event of the weekend, Rolex has invited 550 of the world's most valuable classics to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the famous track, the event is divided into 15 classes of racing. The main emphasis of the event will focus on the 60th anniversary of the Formula Junior series along with 70 years of Ferrari. Viewing your favorites in a static display is entertaining, but seeing them in action is a breathtaking experience. 9. Exotics on Cannery Row It may be one of the newest shows of the week, but EOCR has already outgrown its location. Taking place on Friday the 18th, you will need to get there early to find parking. Over 300 late model exotics and hypercars will be in attendance along with aftermarket vendors and major manufacturers. 8. Carmel By The Sea Concours on the Avenue returns for their 11th annual show. Eighteen blocks of downtown Carmel will be host to the world's finest cars. Also taking place on Tuesday the 15th, you should head here first before going to Cannery row. The picturesque small town is home to several celebrities and it has some of the highest property values in the US. Fun Fact: Clint Eastwood was mayor from 1986 to 88. 7. Gooding & Company Of all the week's auctions, Gooding takes place within earshot of The Lodge at Pebble Beach. As the official auction of the event, it is the only one to take place inside the gates of 17 Mile Drive. 6. Russo & Steele The fast-paced action of "auction in the round" was invented by Russo & Steele. Located at Fisherman's Wharf, it is within walking distance of other attractions and surrounded by great food. After viewing the auction lots, hang out at the pedestrian bridge to watch fast cars emerge from the Lighthouse avenue tunnel. 5. Mecum Dana Mecum and company have been a fixture of our magazine and website for years, and that is because they have the cars everyone is looking for. Taking place at the Hyatt Regency on the Del Monte Golf Course, their innovation is moving the big ticket items across during the daytime. We've been highlighing the most significant lots over the past 2 weeks, which is why you shouldn't miss it. But if it doesn't fit your schedule, it will also be shown on YouTube and NBCSN. 4. RM Sothebys Shelby collectors from around the world are already arriving at the Portola Hotel. Starbucks across the street was a great place to watch the event, but RM Sothebys surrounds the hotel with white fencing....So your best bet is to park in the garage and stroll through the lobby to view the featured cars. 3. McCall's Motorworks Revival If you thought you had seen it all, McCall's is one of the biggest events of the year. Taking place at the Monterey Jetport, it is a showcase of automotive and aeronautical history paired with amazing food. Last year I was able to meet Horacio Pagani and Reggie Jackson as they were both admiring a big block Cobra. Tickets start at $395 online and jump to $450 at the gate. For a preview of this year click here. If you are only allowed to attend one show a year, I would probably choose this one. 2. The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering For their 15th anniversary, The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering is focusing on Mid Engined Marvels, Originals, The Great Ferraris, along with categories for pre and postwar racing. Located on the grounds of Quail Lodge, it offers a backdrop of the Santa Lucia mountains and a special treat for guests. Located adjacent to the hotel is the 20th anniversary of Bonhams Motorcar Auction. As usual, tickets for Qual have already sold out, but you can join the waiting list along with thousands of others. 1. Pebble Beach Concours d'-Elegance The boss says it best. General admission tickets are still available so we will see you there!

Festivals of Speed: Mission Inn Recap

If you didn't get a chance to stop by Mission Inn yesterday, you missed a great show. Festivals of Speed is based in Eustis, Florida and Mission Inn is their home field. We were invited to be the presenting sponsor and host of the VIP lounge, so allow us to show you what Festivals of Speed is all about. Weather can change quickly in the "mountains" of Central Florida, but thankfully a nice breeze made for a perfect day. Most of the heavy hitters and the tents were in place by Saturday night, which made move-in go smoothly. A line of show cars was already formed by 7:30 am, and attention to detail placed each car among others in its class. Photos by Dylan Orluck Mission Inn has 36 holes of golf, which makes it a great venue for events like this. Orlando's car culture is incredibly diverse, but the city is plagued by highways designed before the Mouse came to town. The early risers were in place by noon, but a few late arrivals caught everyone's attention. Lamborghinis and Porsches were in abundance, with classic muscle cars and even a few vintage Harleys. Festivals of Speed has a dedicated fanbase that attends each event, so we look forward to spending time with them and our fans this weekend at Festivals of Speed St. Petersburg. Join us Sunday, April 2nd at Vinoy Park for a gathering of Tampa Bay's classics and exotics. And stay with us for more event coverage here on Autofluence. Buy Tickets Photos by Real Deal Steel
