2019 Cavallino Classic Recap

Usually, winter in Florida is a perfect atmosphere for an Italian car show. But when we arrived at The Breakers, the skies were foreboding. This year marks the 28th annual Cavallino Classic, one of the world's largest Ferrari gatherings. Fans sporting their Scuderia Shields came from around the world, so join us for a 2019 Cavallino Classic Recap. This year's theme was the 60th Anniversary of the 250 GT SWB. Without a doubt the Ferrari 250 is among the world's most coveted cars, so it was nice to see these siblings back together after six decades. Even though most cars were covered throughout the weekend, it was nice to see an equal mix of race and street cars from each era. One of the most awe-inspiring machines was David Lee's 1972 Dino Monza 3.6 Evo, as it represents classic style with modern power. Attendance was steady, but it would have been better without the dismal damp conditions. Because the 288 GTO and the F40 were designed to race, they weren't scared away. It was also nice to see Ferrari's latest 488 GTB compared to Berlinettas of the past. Find Your Ferrari Here

Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2019 Results & Recap

Almost a year in the making, our two week Arizona adventure was one for the record books. Now that the jet-leg has worn off, let's take a look at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2019 Results. We couldn't do this without the support of our clients, so let's hear it for Airstream for arriving in their latest Interstate EXT. Lexani is the undisputed leader in aftermarket wheels, so they brought a few dozen new designs. In addition to their display, they shipped in the same Rolls-Royce Ghost we had on display at the Orange County Auto Show, now rolling on gorgeous 24" forged beauties. Their other ride is a Mercedes-AMG GT-C that is just as mouthwatering. Brand New Muscle Car's 1969 Yenko Camaro Continuation is an officially-licensed Yenko, correct in every detail. Ronald McDonald House Charities was also on-hand, selling raffle tickets to a new Corvette Z06 to help families in need. Celebrity Cars Las Vegas showcased an Ornata Spitfire, a modern American roadster that is built to order. Vanderhall Motor Works' impressive three-wheelers are fast & fuel efficient, so they displayed a speedster and a roadster for comparison. duPont REGISTRY Event Coordinator Matt Dixon Sporting Robert Graham Robert Graham supplied us with snazzy apparel, and we appreciate the looks and quality of their lineup. XPEL protective film displayed a Porsche 911 GT2 RS, courtesy of Graham Rahal, completely covered in their premium protectants. CNC Exotics took center stage with a Pagani Huayra Roadster along with a Koenigsegg Agera, & LaFerrari behind velvet ropes.  Z-Clip offers the latest in RFID blocking carbon fiber wallets, and they can be custom made for you. Tire Stickers was on hand to show off their tire customization applications that turn boring tires into statements. So now we turn our attention to the hospitality extended by the W Scottsdale hotel. For the 5th consecutive year, we threw a party that remains unrivaled in the automotive world. It was a late night on Friday, as many guests stayed with us until 2 am. Greeting guests were a selection of high-end cars from Mclaren Scottsdale and Scottsdale Ferrari. It was all in anticipation of the Saturday night highlights. The sponsor tent was cleared as everyone tried to get a glimpse of the Shelby GT500. It was purchased by Craig Jackson, Barrett-Jackson's CEO for $1.1 Million. Not only the highest bid ever placed on a new Mustang, all proceeds also went to help Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The other fancy Ford was a Heritage Edition Ford GT, with the high bid going to Rick Hendrick.

Porsche Ice Races Return to Austria

If you happen to be in the Alps, get ready for "Fire on Ice". In a press release from Porsche, we've learned the details of this weekend's race. The winter has been quite cold in Zell am See, so Ferdinand Porsche is resurrecting one of his favorite events. The Porsche Ice Races have returned to Austria this weekend. His Great Grandfather started the tradition in Switzerland in 1937, and it became the hottest event on ice. After the war, he found a better location in Austria. The scenic beauty of Zell am See was so impressive, the Porsche family built an estate overlooking the valley. The races were held here until a genius took an 8-ton Mercedes Unimog onto the ice. It sank to the bottom, destroying the track in the process. Dr. Wolfgang Porsche's Five Favorite Cars This year the ice is very thick, so Dr. Porsche has invited his best drivers. Attacking the ice-covered airfield will be Hans Stuck, Richard Lietz, Mark Webber, and of course, Walter Röhrl. It will probably be the only place to feature a 911 GT2 RS up against a 356 Spyder. The rear engine layout of the 911 offers grip in any situation, so the challenge is keeping oversteer in-check. The 718 Series and the AWD models have a nice advantage, so it should be fun for all. duPont REGISTRY Cars & Coffee: December 2018

Our monthly gathering was on a winning streak in terms of weather. But our luck ran out with a warm front over the weekend. Nevertheless, our regular fans know how much Toys for Tots does for less fortunate kids. We assembled in the garage around 6 am to replicate the tables and tents that are normally outside. Inside the showroom were a few of the duPont REGISTRY employees that looked more festive than usual. That was thanks to Shinesty, who hooked the team up with some slick holiday suits. They have a lot of other great suits in stock as well, so be sure to check them all out at Shinesty.com. T & T Coffee Roasters had planned to be outside, but the downpour hampered their efforts. They joined us at the entrance to our showroom along with our friends from European Exotic Center. Despite the showers, our parking lot was a mix of daily drivers and exotics. A Porsche GT3 RS along with a decent contingent of Corvettes and Camaros braved the elements. The roads were relatively empty, so five of Sheriff Gualtieri's officers decided to join us. We couldn't do this without them, so a big thanks to all of our local law enforcement. You might have noticed the new colors of our headquarters because the paint from 2011 had turned a whiter shade of pale. A big thanks to everyone who brought toys, including our friends from Reeve's, Bert Smith, and Crown Eurocars for coming out. We're looking forward to bigger and better shows in 2019, so Merry Christmas and Happy New Years from all of us at duPont Registry.

With a sell-through rate of 100%, Craig Jackson and his team found new homes for 733 cars and 400 pieces of automobilia.Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas 2018 PreviewCelebrities and athletes pushed prices to unprecedented levels.
