Pebble Beach Concept Lawn 2019

Just inside the main entrance to Pebble Beach is the Concept Lawn. Only the best concepts in the world are invited, and we were there as they rolled in. Here they are in no particular order, so tell us your favorite in the comments below. Bugatti La Voiture Noir "The Black Car" This masterpiece is 1 of 1 and inspired by the classic Type 57. It was built for a private individual who paid $19 Million for it. Learn More DeTomaso P72 The return of DeTomaso has been a secret project by our friends at Apollo. It has an FIA approved chassis, manual transmission, and your name on it! Learn More Nostalgia by NMOTO Everyone missed their chance to buy an original BMW R7 because only one was built. That is why NMOTO builds a modern interpretation on a new BMW R9T chassis. Not only is it fuel-injected, but it is also the first motorcycle ever invited to the concept lawn. Learn More Bentley EXP 100 GT Here is Bentley's vision of an autonomous future. It will be used to influence new styling and technology for years to come. Learn More Porsche Formula E Works Race Car Porsche is diving headlong into electric technology, and their Formula E has influenced the upcoming Taycan electric sedan. Learn More BMW Vision M Next This is what BMW envisions as the future of their M Performance brand. It takes inspiration from the i8 and M1, and has a hybrid powertrain. Learn More Ford GT MKII Customers who wanted more performance on the track now have what they asked for. The 2020 Ford GT MKII is a track-only supercar. Learn More Acura Type-S Acura has used the Type S to distinguish their high-performance models, but we didn't have time to investigate it. Pagani Zonda C12 This restored Pagani Zonda C12 is basically brand new. It was the first car to be restored at the factory as part of the "Pagani Rinascimento" program. Pagani Huayra BC Roadster The Huayra BC Roadster is named after Benny Caiola, a close friend of Mr. Pagani, and his first customer. Learn More Karma SC1 Vision This electric roadster that shares some hardware with the Revero GT. The windshield and cowl are inspired by Howard Hughes 1935 H1 Racing Plane McLaren GT by MSO Yes, McLaren builds more than sports cars. The GT is a comfortable cruiser with room for your luggage or groceries. Learn More Gunther Werks 400R This 993 series Porsche 911 is all carbon fiber, and it is a work of art inside and out. Learn More Lotus Evija This is the car that could change the world. Lotus has built the world's most powerful series-production car. Learn More Audi R8 LMS GT2 Audi takes racing very seriously. After winning the Nürburgring this year, they developed this new R8 GT2 to take on the world. Learn More Which of these would you like to take home? I would choose a twin-supercharged methanol injected Ferrari Hydroplane: " width="680">

28th Annual McCall's Motorworks Revival Recap

Our friend Gordon McCall has been gathering the best in cars, aircraft, and luxury for nearly 3 decades. It has evolved into one of the must-see events of Monterey Car Week, and it takes place at the Monterey Jet Center. Starting with the amazing aircraft on display, it was wild to see a B-25 Bomber and P-51 Mustang alongside a Gulfstream G500 and a Cessna Citation Longitude. Also on display were the latest models from Dassault, Pilatus, Piper and Embraer. You probably know we have an affinity for nice watches, so the latest in timepieces were on display from Bremont, Eberhard & Co., H. Moser & Cie., Kerbedanz, Reservoir Watch SA, & Chronoswiss A.G. Cars are the reason for the event, so we were witness to the unveiling of the new Ford GT MKII track car along with the RUF CTR Anniversary supercar. Notable classics included one-of-two 1978 BMW 320 Turbo lightweight racers. The man himself, Gordon McCall had this to say: "The California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation had a hugely successful night and variety of automobiles and aircraft, along with these unique displays have made 2019 one of our most successful events to date. We hope we can continue to grow McCall’s Motorworks Revival as one of Monterey’s must-see events in 2020 and beyond.” Tell us your favorite Monterey event in the comments below and stay with us for all Monterey coverage. Barrett-Jackson Northeast 2019 Recap

With Summer quickly approaching, the end of Spring signaled our annual pilgrimage to Connecticut. The Mohegan Tribe are wonderful hosts, and they allow us to be a major sponsor for Barrett-Jackson's Northeast Auction. This event has grown exponentially, so we had requests from many of our East Coast dealers to be part of our display. Because the manufacturer displays and salon cars took up a majority of the Expo Center, we were limited to 6 cars. First in was Ronald McDonald House Charities. For over 10 years we have been supporting their collector car raffle, and this year you can choose between a new Callaway SC 757 Corvette Z06, or a Backdraft Racing Roush Edition Cobra Roadster. Having driven both, it is a tough choice! Miller Motorcars arrived with two Ferraris that many spectators mistook for hardtops. The first was a new black Portofino, their latest convertible. Next in was a bright red SuperAmerica. If you haven't seen how its convertible top works it is pure brilliance. Our friends at Overfinch North America arrived in their latest "Redifined". It is the ultimate expression of what a Range Rover can be. The International Scout has a 4WD fan base unlike any other, so Taggart Scout was happy to display their latest restoration. The Scout was the main competitor to the Chevy Blazer and the Ford Bronco, and it caught many spectators off-guard! Our booth was located directly across from our friends at Xpel. Their new Corvette ZR1 was completely covered in their film, ensuring decades of paint protection. The highlight of the event was being able to watch the final C7 Corvette being donated to charity. Chevrolet was able to raise $2.7 Million to build smart homes for wounded veterans. It sets a new record for a manufacturer donated car, and it signals the end of the front-engine Corvette A big thanks to Craig Jackson and his team for facilitating our needs, and for gathering these amazing machines together for all to see. Take a look at the gallery below and tell us your favorite car in the comments below.
