Palace Skateboards and Mercedes-AMG Throw An LA Party For...

Palace Skateboard’s LA flagship got a bit of the Affalterbach treatment. To kick off the latest collaboration of the two brands, Palace Skateboards had an event at the LA flagship store to celebrate its newest capsule collection with Mercedes-AMG. This newest collection has gone deeper than the last one, with four collaborative art cars joining the mix: the Mercedes-AMG G 63 PALACE Edition/”Space Horse Tokyo”, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ PALACE Edition/”Neon Fade New York,” and the Los Angeles-inspired Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4MATIC+ PALACE Edition/”Sunset LA.” MUST READ: Mercedes-AMG and Palace Skateboards Launch 4 New Art Cars With A New Collection These cars all exemplified a bold and daring interpretation of AMG, with wild colors and big, detailed graphics emblazoned across each, and gradient paintwork with different colors at the front and back of some of the cars. The same goes for the clothes, with bright shades and neons, the clothes in the collection are a perfect match and serendipitous inspiration for the cars, which were on display outside during the event. The collection is now available on Palace Skateboards’ website. Source: Palace Skateboards

Watch The Mercedes-Benz x Virgil Abloh Virtual Unveiling

For the past couple of months, we have been teased an anticipated collaboration between Virgil Abloh and Mercedes-Benz AMG. Finally, a virtual release has been announced via Mercedes-Benz Amg’s Instagram for September 8th at 10 am EST. Virgil Abloh is best described as a fashion designer icon. He is known for creating the brand Off-White as well as leading the design team at Louis Vuitton. As a man who has worked to stay true to his innovative approach in the fashion industry, Virgil is the perfect choice for this new venture. The new project added to his resume features the Mercedes-Benz AMG G-Class. Released so far, are short video clips providing hints that the vehicle will be designed in both a modern and historic manner. A new wide-body style paired with what look to be vintage G-Wagon wheels set the theme for Virgil’s vision behind the project. Traditional aspects of the G-Wagon will be equipped with new options. Glass windows and door handles have been replaced with cross netting as well as door strap pulls. What we can foresee is a vehicle that will truly stand out while maintaining a subtly pleasing appearance, which is what Virgil is best known to do. It shows how far the automotive and lifestyle industry has come, bridging the gap and introducing new ideas to unthought areas.
