duPont REGISTRY's Most Popular Cars of 2017

Another lap around the sun is almost complete. We're thankful for our fans and our dealers who keep the lights on, and for the ability to enjoy to share our experiences via Social Media to our friends around the world.Looking Back at duPont REGISTRY’s Year in 2017Thanks to our SEO team, we're consistently at the top of most car inquiries. Naturally, this drives traffic to the world's best resource for exotic cars for sale. One of the sharpest tools in our arsenal is our analytics, so we have compiled the top 10 cars searches of the year. Every car has its own page, that offers several ways to contact the seller, we count those as inquiries. A phone call is still the most popular, but some private sellers will only have email.Last but not least, we still have a few old-timers who want an engraved inquiry in iambic pentameter. Inquires happen 24/7 from around the globe, and from 1 anonymous person in Antarctica. We'll compile those statistics closer to the 1st of the year; So sit back and relax then tell us your favorite car from the list below.10. Ferrari F12berlinetta This one is a no-brainer. Ferrari has been building the F12berlinetta since 2012, and Maranello will build it exactly to your specifications. When you consider it makes 730 horsepower without turbos or hybrid complexities, the big V12 is a symphony at 8,300 rpm. 9. Lamborghini Aventador SV You will see it twice on this list for good reason. The Aventador SV takes no prisoners and it offers no apologies. SV stands for Super Veloce, or "Super Speed" in Italian. Not just a body kit, it has more power, less weight, and rear wheel steering. The magnetic suspension offers the best of both world: comfort and uncompromising grip. 8. Ford Mustang With the return of the turbocharged 4-cylinder, Ford fans have been flexing their EcoBoost mileage at everyone. The Flat Rock Assembly Plant turned out no less than 105,000 Mustangs last year, so you can't argue with sales of that magnitude. 7. Porsche 911 Turbo S Everyone needs 580 horsepower and All Wheel Drive! The Turbo S has been king of the Porsche 911 series for years. This year they took us behind the scenes with the Exclusive Series to show us their unrivaled attention to detail. The new Dynamic boost function keeps the turbos spinning by cutting fuel and leaving the throttle open. This means turbo lag is eliminated during spirited driving. 6. Ferrari 458 As the last naturally aspirated V8, Ferrari fans have flocked to find their own 458. The coupes (458 Italia) were the basis for Speciale and Aperta versions which offer 597 horsepower at 9,000 rpm. It is also the final V8 powered car to wear a Pininfarina body, marking the end of an era for Ferrari designs. 5. Porsche 911 GT3 RS  A significant majority of our readers have owned some flavor of Porsche 911. Making 500 horsepower from a 4.0-liter flat-six is incredible, and it only has 3,155 lbs to push around. The wide body makes use of carbon fiber and magnesium panels, and the solid motor mounts allow you feel everything on your way to 9,000 rpm. 4. Chevrolet Corvette America's first sports car turns 65 in 2018, but the model-year will be shortened to make way for the return of the king. The Corvette 2019 ZR1 is a 755 horsepower beast at a bargain price. Chevy's most powerful car ever, it offers 715 lb-ft of torque to a 7-speed stick or 8-speed automatic transmission. 3. Lamborghini Aventador Because the SV is simply too powerful for most, the Lamborghini Aventador in normal form is a popular choice. The cockpit is one piece of carbon fiber which makes it light & strong. It is the basis for the SV, Veneno, and the Centenario, along with the targa top roadsters. 2. Ferrari 488 The latest and greatest from Maranello uses a 3.9 liter V8 and twin turbos to make 660 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque. Offered as a coupe (GTB) and convertible (Spider), the 488 has equal-length headers that feed into twin-scroll turbines, each with lightweight alloy internals. 1. Lamborghini Huracan It was a close race between the top two, but our most searched car of 2017 was the Lamborghini Huracan. It doesn't use forced induction or a carbon fiber chassis, it is a big V10 offered in 5 flavors. Choose from coupe or Spyder, rear or All Wheel Drive, or the Performante if you are chasing lap records. The comfortable cruiser will transform into a raging bull at a moment's notice. Arriving in an LP640-4 is like showing up to an indoor range with a 50 cal. Each one of these cars is a story unto itself, so click on their links to find your next ride. We'll see you in 2018, Happy Holidays from all of us at duPont REGISTRY.

Ten Icy Lamborghinis for Winter 2017

Winter time is here and with it comes all sorts of extraordinarily cold weather. For us, down in Florida, a drop below 60 degrees calls for the biggest jacket in the closet and the need to say: "I wish Summer was here." For those North of us, 60 degrees would be considered a blessing, as it would melt away the feet of snow many states can receive. Sure, some people enjoy the snow and like the sight of a powder-white scenery. For those who would rather look at a white Lamborghini instead of white snow, we've got a selection of some icy supercars for you.Lamborghinis for Sale 1983 Lamborghini Countach LP5000S View Price and Listing 1998 Lamborghini Diablo SV View Price and Listing 1999 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster View Price and Listing 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago SV View Price and Listing 2012 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale View Price and Listing 2014 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-2 50th Anniversario View Price and Listing 2015 Lamborghini Huracan View Price and Listing 2016 Lamborghini Huracan View Price and Listing 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S View Price and Listing 2017 Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster View Price and Listing

A 1.6-liter V6 is coupled to four electric motors and the latest in battery technology. It spins to 11,000 rpm to make around 700 horsepower. Two motors up front power each wheel independently, and a the main motor/generator is attached to the engine. The fourth motor sits between the turbine and compressor of the turbocharger. It uses battery or regenerated power to provide boost in any situation.Learn More2018 Mercedes-Benz S-ClassIf you are looking for the world’s most efficient full-size sedan, you will need tickets to China. Ferrari 458 Italia vs 458 Challenge

Imitation is the best form of flattery, but sometimes it is difficult to discern who is imitating who. In the case of Ferrari's race cars, the Challenge Series 458 looks very similar to the 458 Italia. Maranello has mentioned that both cars share 90% of their components, but humans also share 90% of our DNA with primates. If your dreams have been filled with track days and podium finishes, a used Ferrari 458 Challenge is a great way to achieve them, but how hard would it be to do it yourself? Let's take a closer look at production car and see just how different they really are. 458 CHALLENGEHow Much? Price: $239,000Engine: 4.5-liter V8 274.5 cu inHorsepower: 570 hp @ 9,000 rpmTorque: 398 lb-ft 6,000 rpmCurb Weight: 2815 lbs0-60: 2.9 seconds62-0 mph: 107 ftTop Speed: 210 mphTransmission: 7-speed Getrag dual clutch F1Brakes: Carbon Ceramic 458 ITALIAHow Much? Price: $239,000Engine: 4.5-liter V8 274.5 cu inHorsepower: 570 hp @ 9,000 rpmTorque: 398 lb-ft 6,000 rpmCurb Weight: 3,274 lbs0-60: 2.9 seconds62-0 mph: 107 ftTop Speed: 210 mphTransmission: 7-speed Getrag dual-clutch F1Brakes: Carbon CeramicThe latest 458 Challenge is a monster on the trackIf you found a great deal on a pre-owned Ferrari 458 Italia for sale, what would it take to go racing? First, you would have to strip the interior of all those fine Italian hides. The 458 Challenge arrives with 2 racing seats, carbon fiber panels, and not much else. You would also need to find a master fabricator to build a roll cage. The Challenge has an FIA approved cage from the factory. All the glass must be replaced with lexan, and you will need a fire system along with telemetry. The 458 Challenge also arrives with these. Omitted in the Challenge cars are several hundred pounds of luxury and creature comforts. You can see where this is going...Each Ferrari 458 Challenge was built by the same crew and is equipped with the same options. Even the wheels are the same width as stock, but the Challenge sports 19" instead of the 20". This is because racing rubber in 20" just doesn't handle the abuse. Suspension parts are shared between track and street, but Challenge cars arrive with spherical rod ends instead of rubber bushings. Many teams have discovered that carbon ceramic brakes look amazing on the street car, but cast iron is more durable. So if you find a 458 Challenge with brake dust, don't be alarmed. Why you should buy a 458 ChallengeThe last real difference between them is legality. The 458 Challenge is a race car. It makes no apologies in terms of insulation or civility. For that reason, it can not be driven on public roads. But if you have the local authorities on your payroll, the 458 Challenge is the easiest way to go racing. Converting a 458 Italia into a track car is a great way to burn cash, so check out these listings from our dealers and get your team back together. Are you ready for a Challenge? Who Owns the New 2017 Ford GT

It all started back on January 12, 2015 when Ford first revealed the new GT model. Our friend Jerry Villagrana was on hand to capture the new American supercar firsthand. It wasn't until February 2, 2016 that we learned how exclusive the new Ford GT would be. Just a couple of months later in April 2016, Ford opened up applications for the new GT and the configurator as well. People around the world started sending in their applications. How many applications? Ford counted 6,506 applications, and we highlighted a few of our favorites.Right before Christmas, on December 16, 2016, the first 2017 GT rolled off of the production line.It wasn't until January 25, 2017, after the first GT rolled off the line, that Ford officially unveiled the power of the GT. Power of the GT was set at 647 horsepower and 550 lb-ft. These power figures makes the GT Ford's fastest production vehicle, ever. Actual deliveries of the GT didn't starting happening a couple of months into 2017, which are highlighted below.
