Check Out Ferrari's New Hypercar-Inspired Hypersail Yacht

At Milan Design Week, Ferrari is flexing its nautical side with a new Hypersail livery.

While Ferrari is best known for its racing roots and decades of performance, at its core, the brand's real sole focus is on Italian design and craftsmanship. Whether it be engineering the Daytona SP3 for blistering lap times at the Fiorano Circuit or developing lightweight components for open-ocean hypersail racing, the team in Maranello always has two goals in mind: finish first and look great while doing it. As part of Milan Design Week, Ferrari steps off the asphalt and into open water with its new Hypersail contender, a 100-foot flying monohull with hypercar inspiration baked in. Unveiled in Milan with an all-new livery, Hypersail is purely experimental for Ferrari, pushing the brand’s age-old automotive DNA into entirely new territory. The project brings together the Ferrari Tech Team, the Ferrari Design Studio under Flavio Manzoni, and naval architect Guillaume Verdier, creating a collaborative effort between the best in the business. In true Ferrari fashion, the silhouette pays homage to icons like the Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2, while graphics mirror the endurance-winning Ferrari 499P. Carbon fiber makes up the entire design, showcased through a bespoke Grigio Hypersail finish. Even the solar panels, integrated into the deck and hull, are engineered for efficiency and for long ocean crossings.Ferrari’s signature Rosso takes a step back as Nuovo Giallo Fly takes center stage for the livery. Inspired by Enzo Ferrari’s inner circle and first seen on the Ferrari 275 GTB, Giallo has always represented the marque’s “second soul”. The play on color and material mirrors classics like the Ferrari 512 BB, as well as modern icons like the LaFerrari and the F80. Debuted at the Ferrari Flagship Store and HIGHLINE Milano, Hypersail takes Ferrari’s distinctive Italian style off the race track and onto the open waters.
