RM Sotheby’s To Offer the Only White Enzo Extant

Presented by RM Sotheby's. From his earliest days leading the Grand Prix titans of the Alfa Romeo stable to the final, game-changing supercar launched shortly before his death, Enzo Ferrari was resolutely committed throughout his life to creating world-beating machines. Whether sitting at the pinnacle of motorsport or within the pages of magazine centerfolds, cars that wore the Prancing Horse represented the very cutting edge of technology and style. Fitting, then, that the car built in his honor—the Ferrari Enzo—would exemplify everything that had seen the Maranello marque grow from a boutique producer of sports racers to one of the most coveted and desirable badges in automotive history. Like the great halo models that came before, the Enzo was created to push the envelope of road car performance, utilizing technology derived from the top-flight of motorsport and otherworldly styling from long-term partner Pininfarina. Constructed from lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum, the Enzo’s advanced chassis was clothed in composite bodywork styled by the carrozzeria’s Ken Okuyama and shaped by wind-tunnel testing. Influenced by the firm’s leading grand prix cars, the rakish nose struck a tone carried over to the rest of the coachwork, with subtle ground-effect aerodynamics and a small active spoiler in place of the F50’s outrageous rear wing. At the Enzo’s heart lay an all-new, mid-mounted, 5,998 cc V-12 engine capable of producing a staggering 651 horsepower— greater than the output of any of its rivals. But it wasn’t just the headline power figure that impressed, but how it was delivered, with an addictive combination of low-down torque, the aggressive snap of acceleration with each shift of the paddles, and the dizzying howl as the needle approaches the 8200 rpm redline. Like its top-of-the-range predecessors, the Enzo set a new benchmark for performance and design, and, due to a production run that numbered just 400 examples, has since become one of the preeminent collector cars of the modern era. Any Ferrari Enzo is a rare jewel befitting of any serious supercar collection, but chassis 133023 is an even more special machine. One of fewer than 20 “Extracampionario” cars finished in a non-standard color—a privilege reserved exclusively for Maranello’s most valued and discerning clients—this remarkable Enzo is the only example of that cohort—and indeed the full production run—to be specified in the shade of Bianco Avus. This unique Ferrari Enzo was completed on 22 May 2003, finished in the striking combination of Bianco Avus over Nero leather interior, specified with Rosso Corsa instruments and extra-large carbon-fiber bucket seats complete with rare 3D black cloth inserts. The car first made its way via Ferrari Central Europe in Wiesbaden, Germany to Symbol Automobiles in Matran, Switzerland, where it was sold to its first owner, a very private German-Swiss billionaire. Used minimally during those early years, the car spent much of its time drawing crowds while dressing the window of the boutique supplying dealer in Matran, before being exported to Hong Kong in 2011. Unregistered during its time in Hong Kong due to its left-hand-drive configuration, the Enzo served as a cornerstone of a significant Ferrari collection in recent years, and its odometer reading stands at just 9,600 km at the time of cataloging. As with many of the finest examples of the Prancing Horse, this phenomenal Enzo is recognized by Maranello with Ferrari Classiche certification awarded in November 2012. Further, the car has just received a full annual service at the Ferrari authorized dealer in Hong Kong. Offered exclusively by RM Sotheby’s and only being made available to the most discerning of clients, this offering represents an unrepeatable opportunity to take ownership of a legend: the one and only white Enzo. This rare Ferrari will be offered without reserve on RMSothebys.com in a unique private auction taking place 29-30 June 2022. Contact an RM Car Specialist with questions regarding this vehicle. Ferrari Announces A New Le Mans Hypercar 49 Years After R...

Ferrari has decided to reopen an important chapter of its history. It’s been nearly 50 years since Ferrari decided to throw in the towel when it comes to top class endurance racing and focus on F1 after a disappointing 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1973. With 3 Ferraris spending time leading the race, only one even finished, and that was in second. It marked the end of one of racing’s greatest dynasties, with the 250 LM, the 275 P, and the 330 P2 and P3 all forging Ferrari’s two-decade endurance racing legacy. MUST READ: Check The Spec: Ferrari Roma Finished in Verde British Racing Over Cuoio Leather It’s been a very long time, but Ferrari has just announced that it’s decided to return to the 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship 50 years later with a new Le Mans Hypercar. The first details and a teaser image of the new car have been revealed, and the front of the car resembles the Ferrari Daytona SP3, a car that pays homage to 60s Ferrari race cars. Ferrari says that the new Le Mans hypercar will start development testing in the coming weeks, with a year left until the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans. The countdown begins now, as Ferrari will re-enter the Le Mans ring half a century after it left. View All Ferraris For Sale Source: Ferrari

Finished in Verde British Racing The exterior of the Roma features a lively Verde British Racing finish, a historical paint code that completely transforms the look of the spec. The famous deep green takes its name from the green international motor racing color of the United Kingdom. A series of yellow prancing horse badges and shields add contrast while incorporating chrome, gloss, and matte exterior trim components. A set of silver split-spoke come standard on the Roma, with gloss black Ferrari brake calipers that sit flush behind the lightweight wheels. Cuoio Leather Interior With Black Highlights With a sophisticated exterior, it's only right to apply the same thought to the driver-oriented interior of the Ferrari Roma. A pair of classic Ferrari Daytona seats showcase the Roma’s magnificent Cuoio brown leather and black design, which flows throughout the dash, center console, and door inserts. The use of lightweight carbon fiber also finds its way into interior trim components, highlighting Ferrari’s craftsmanship and close attention to detail. A carbon fiber Ferrari flat-bottom sport steering wheel acts as the main control center to the Roma, with driving dynamics, media, and safety controls all at the hands of the driver. Twin-Turbocharged 3.9L V8 (612hp/561lb-ft) The front-engine Roma delivers over 612-horsepower and 561-pound feet of torque to its rear wheels using Ferrari’s 3.9L Twin-Turbocharged V8.
