This 1982 Ferrari 400i For Sale Could Have Been Driven By...

In many ways, this is certainly not your typical Ferrari. When you think about a Ferrari, the images that your mind probably conjures are those of mid-engined supercars painted in bright, bold red, with driver’s car sensibilities, curvacious design, and unforgettable performance. While the Ferrari 400i is certainly a true Ferrari, it’s quite a far cry from the Ferraris we know today, and even most of the classic Ferrari models that we as car enthusiasts celebrate. Take for example the fact that in true classic Ferrari nature, the 400i boasts a 4.8-liter V12 engine under the hood, but the power goes through a 3-speed automatic transmission. With its plush interior and grand touring character, this 80s Ferrari isn’t just a unique car in itself, but this specific 1982 Ferrari 400i for sale at Ferrari Westlake has quite a unique story of its own. MUST READ: Amalgam’s New $15,200 1:8 Scale Ferrari Daytona SP3 Is A Work Of Automotive Art The 400i was a Ferrari that was never made to be sold in the United States market, meaning that examples of the car that have arrived stateside were imported in order to arrive to our shores. What that means for this car was that its story starts unsurprisingly in Italy, where it was first registered owner was none other than Ferrari S.p.A. Modena itself. Being owned within the company, the car could have been driven by contemporary Ferrari F1 drivers or even Enzo Ferrari himself. However, early in its life, the car was brought to California, where it was eventually restored and remains today. In 2021, this Ferrari 400i won the Gold Award in its class at the San Marino Car Classic. Coming with a unique configuration featuring a burl-wood center console, separate air conditioning for front and rear passengers, and still with manuals, documents, and the original toolset, this Ferrari 400i for sale at Ferrari Westlake on duPont REGISTRY is a stunning example with an incredible story. This Uniquely Personalized Ferrari 812 GTS Is Inspired By...

This Tailor Made Ferrari really is a gem. In her youth, Emma Hague had the formative experience of riding and driving her father’s friend’s Ferrari F40, and the magic of that experience drove her to one day desire a Prancing Horse of her own. In 2014, that dream was achieved in the form of a Ferrari 458 Italia, but after that, a new dream started, with Ferrari’s Tailor Made program as the focus. Emma decided that for her Tailor Made Ferrari, she would wait for a truly amazing car to personalize as her own, and with the introduction of the Ferrari 812 GTS, along that car came. MUST READ: The Best Ferraris You Can Buy Today When she arrived at Ferrari’s Tailor Made department in Maranello, she was greeted by an example of the 812 GTS for the first time, which at the time had not been launched in her home of the UK. Configuring the highly personalized car was an incredible experience, with the inspiration for the exterior color being the brilliant and deep blue of a sapphire, set in a ring Emma Hague owns from one of her favorite London jewelers. The uniquely-matched paint is now named after her, but the exterior is just the beginning of this stunning Tailor Made configuration. The interior features Poltrona Frau leather in a unique “Amarone red” shade, along with stripes of Loro Piana cashmere around the edge of each seat and through the center console which evoke a classic tuxedo stripe. Much of the usually chrome metalwork has been changed to matte for a more subdued look, from the Prancing Horse logos to the vents. For Emma Hague, just about the only thing better than owning a Ferrari was being able to have one that spoke to her exact tastes, and when her new 812 GTS was delivered to her at Ferrari’s Exeter dealership, she was literally moved to tears of joy. The Best Ferrari Paint Colors Of All Time

When you take a look at the best Ferrari paint colors, the Rosso Corsa deserves the number one spot on the list. This powerful, deep shade of red is one of the best Ferrari paint colors of all time. In the early 90s, about 85% of all Ferraris built were red. In fact, some of the most iconic models, like the 288 GTO, could only be purchased in red. Even when the newer model Ferrari 488 Pista was revealed in 2018, the first example carried the striking Rosso Corsa. This racing red still remains a popular choice on a color swatch catalog. But it is not the only one. Other Ferrari color options have gained momentum over the years. One would be the color blue. The Ferrari color list offers a range of blue tones, such as darker shades and baby blue. Models as early as the Daytona were available in blue, and many newer models, like the 812 Superfast, were sold in blue. Some of the best Ferrari color names in this chart include the Blu Abu Dhabi and Blu Swaters. They are elegant, bold, and reflect well in the sun. If you are thinking of another one of the best Ferrari paint color for resale, yellow would be a solid choice. Some people call it “Ferrari’s second soul”. Yellow is associated with many events in the company’s history. This was most likely the case for Fiamma Breschi, widow of driver Luigi Musso, who was the first one to suggest showcasing a yellow Ferrari to a motor show. It is believed that this was the inspiration behind the Giallo Fly, which is a richer and deeper yellow than Giallo Modena. Yellow Ferraris also competed in motorsport. This helped the color gain more popularity. For those who want their luxury car to feel elegant and sophisticated, the beige Ferrari color code can be an excellent choice. These colors are synonymous with class and give the vehicle a natural shade. This color hides grime and dirt better than white paint. Other Ferrari enthusiasts like to take it a step further and customize their own color. One of the most unique accents would be the color green. Jay Kay, Jamiroquai frontman and a popular car guy who appeared on “Top Gear” many times painted his LaFerrari a striking green. The goal was to give the car a unique vibe and personality. Of course, when you choose to buy Ferrari, the color is up to you. It often varies based on the model. You can go for red if you want the most popular Ferrari colors of the early days of auto racing. But, if you want to take it a step further, then you can choose from the different Ferrari paint codes. Some of the Ferrari color names listed below can help you make a choice. Argento Nurburgring The Argento Nurburgring is a light silver color that looks good with black accents. It enhances the contours of the vehicle. Image Source: RM Sotheby's Azzurro La Plata The Azzurro La Plata is a bright shade of blue and a memorable option on the Ferrari color list. The name of the color probably comes from the blue-footed booby, a seabird native to the Pacific Ocean. Bianco Avorio The Bianco Avorio is a cream, white color that you can see on classic models such as the 599 GTO. It is one of the most sophisticated Ferrari color options. Bianco Italia The Bianco Italia is a white color with a hint of grey. It slightly gives off that “pearl effect”. Blu Abu Dhabi The Blu Abu Dhabi is a bright, royal shade of blue that shines in the sun. It has a stunning elegance to it and goes well with white accents. Blu Swaters Blu Swaters is a darker shade of blue with a purple undertone. It has both depth and elegance, making it one of the most popular Ferrari colors. Blu Tour De France The Blu Tour De France is a classic, slightly lighter blue that goes well with both black and silver accents. Giallo Modena The Giallo Modena is a bright shade of yellow that pops in the sun. It outlines every curve and feature of the car, which makes it one of the best Ferrari paint colors of all time. Image Source: Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale Giallo Triplo Strato The Giallo Triplo Strato is a darker shade of yellow, with a slight hint of orange hue. Grigio Ferro The Grigio Ferro is a striking grey with reflective qualities. It goes very well with yellow, black, or silver accents. Grigio Silverstone The Grigio Silverstone is a darker grey that gives the car a more intimidating look. Nero Daytona The Nero Daytona is a deep, elegant, and stunning black. It pairs beautifully with white and yellow accents. Image Source: Mecum Auctions Nero DS Opaco The Nero DS Opaco is a matte black and one of the most jaw-dropping Ferrari color names. Rosso Corsa When you think about Ferrari, the first thing that pops to mind is red. But, not just any red – it has to be the Rosso Corsa. So, why are most Ferraris red? In the early days of auto racing, the FIA required all Italian Grand Prix race cars to be red. Rosso Scuderia The Rosso Scuderia is red with an orange undertone. It gives the car that intimidating “wow factor”. Shark Grey Shark Grey is a unique color with a mix of dark grey and a slight white hue. It has a modern appeal to it. Verde Abetone Verde Abetone is a dark green color with a vintage outlook. It is both subtle and stunning. Verde British Racing Verde British Racing is a much deeper, dark moss-green color. It looks great on both older and newer models. Image Source: Ferrari of Austin Viola Hong Kong The Viola Hong Kong is a unique, dark purple color. It gives off a sci-fi feel with a futuristic vibe.
