Ferrari Pista Sets Amazing Lap Time at the 'Ring

Enzo Ferrari lived in style. His home was located in the infield of their famous Fiorano test track. That's why he didn't care much for lap times on foreign soil. To find out just how capable their latest model is, our friends at Sport Auto recorded a Ferrari Pista setting an amazing lap time at the 'Ring. Without the budget for weeks of hot laps, Editor-In-Chief Christian Gebhardt slapped on new tires and prepared to make history. He crossed the line at 7:00.03, making it one of the fastest street-legal cars in production. Click the link below to experience one for yourself and stay with us for all your Ferrari news. The American location is an extension of the completely redesigned Ferrari showroom, expanding the space to 6,600 square feet. The new addition houses a five-car display and an owner's lounge. “The United States continues to be Ferrari’s strongest market and the new Tailor Made Center will further strengthen the relationship with our clients as they’re walked through the very same meticulous customization offered for generations at the factory in Maranello," says Ferrari Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, Enrico Galliera. "Ferrari owners are passionate, knowledgeable and imaginative and our new Tailor Made Center allows an unprecedented level of exclusivity to be achieved.” Each owner is matched with a Personal Designer to guide him or her through the process and select materials for the car's aesthetic. A big red book. You either have one or you don't. It means everything to Ferrari aficionados, as it is a badge of honor. If your car has gone through the rigorous Classiche Certification you might be scared to drive it on public roads. Enzo would be ashamed because his cars were meant to be driven. That is why this year's Ferrari Cavalcade Classiche concluded in Rome. Browse all Ferrari For Sale Working with the city government, Ferrari carved a new route over ancient roads. Starting at the Appian Way, stops were made at Lake Salto, Mount Terminillo, and Marmore Falls. After passing Castel Gandolfo over 80 historic Ferraris made their way through the streets of Rome. Notable attendees were the 1954 Monza 750, 1957 TRC 500, and a 257 GTB from 1964. Don't feel bad if you weren't invited, as Ferrari Classiche only restores a handful of cars annually. New Ferrari F8 Spider Revealed: Light and Powerful

The new Ferrari F8 Spider has been revealed as the spider version of the F8 Tributo and the replacement for the 488 Spider. when compared to the 488 Spider, the F8 Spider "improves on all aspects of its specifications," according to Ferrari. see all ferraris for sale The turbocharged V8 engine powering the F8 Spider pushes out 710 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque. That's an increase of 49 hp when compared to the 488 Spider. To achieve this increase in power, Ferrari pulled a couple of strings. Most notable is the new intake that has been moved to the rear. This move was derived from the 488 Challenge. Being a spider, one of the most important specs is the weight. Typically, you will see a heavier weight when compared to the coupe version due to the added strength needed to make up for not having a roof. Thankfully, the F8 Spider is 44 lbs lighter than the 488 Spider and just 44 lbs heavier than the 488 Pista Spider. Pricing for the Ferrari F8 Spider has not been released as of yet. Ferrari 812 GTS Unveiled in Maranello

It has only been half a century since Ferrari introduced a Grand Touring Spider. The GTS acronym is a recipe that calls for a beastly V12 and an optional roof. The last time one was in series-production was the 1969 Ferrari 365 Daytona Spider, a highly sought-after collectible. To show the world they haven't lost their mojo, the Ferrari 812 GTS was just unveiled in Maranello. Browse Ferrari 812 For Sale Based on the 812 Superfast, it has a retractable hardtop that can operate up to 28 mph. Power comes from a new & larger version of their incredible V12. It is rated at 800 metric horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 530 lb-ft of torque. Fuel pressure has been increased to 5,000 psi to match the bump in displacement. Growing from 6.2 to 6.5 liters allows 80% of the torque to be available at only 3,500 rpm. Aside from incredible power and looks, the car will arrive with anticipated technology. Ferrari Peak Performance uses the electric power steering to place a load on the steering wheel. This feedback has been lost since hydraulic power steering, and it is the computer's way to let you know when you are at the limit. Ferrari Power Oversteer will guide the steering wheel into opposite lock if you smoke the tires in a corner, gently leading you in the direction you wanted to go as you smoke everyone behind you. The Magneride shocks have been calibrated to handle the 165 lbs added by the top and chassis reinforcement. If you don't need all the latest tech, our dealers have plenty of 812 Superfast coupes available. Click the link below, and stay with us for all your Ferrari news.
