OCTAD.ONE: Eight Automotive Artworks, One Chance Each, Now Arriving on duPont REGISTRY
There are no editions here, no reissues, and no second chances. OCTAD.ONE, the halo initiative from British automotive print house Limited100, is built around eight 1-of-1 large-format artworks, and the moment one is acquired, its source file is permanently locked. The piece will never exist again in any form. Founded by Simon Wright, whose Nottinghamshire-based Limited100 has spent years capping every print run at 100 and shipping handcrafted automotive wall art to collectors across more than a dozen countries, OCTAD.ONE inverts that model entirely. Where Limited100 built its name on accessible exclusivity, OCTAD.ONE asks what happens when the run is cut to one. Each of the eight works is produced at a continuous, monolithic 340cm scale; a size associated with gallery installation rather than print retail - as a seamless fine art pigment print under acrylic glass, offering UV filtration and exceptional colour depth. At £38,888 each, acquisition includes full white-glove logistics: custom-built protective casing, pre-cleared international customs handling, and certified on-site installation by art engineers trained to handle the piece's ~114kg mounted weight. The inaugural eight span four international photographers: Tim Wallace's LaFerrari and Ferrari Monza SP1, Thomas Boudewijn's Ferrari Enzo and Mercedes-AMG One, Paul Ward's Longnose Jaguar D-Type Continuation, Lola T70 Mk3B, and Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza, and Rudolf van der Ven's Pagani Zonda C12, chassis #001. “With Limited100, I figured out early that 100 was the right number; enough exclusivity to matter, enough scale to build a business,” said Wright. “OCTAD.ONE asks a different question: what happens if the run is just one? Eight pieces, four artists, no repeats, no second chances. It's the same obsession with craft I started with on a Lamborghini Miura print in my front room, just taken as far as it can possibly go.” Unlike Limited100's online store, OCTAD.ONE has no public checkout. Acquisitions are handled through private, direct dialogue, in keeping with the confidentiality its collector base expects - a fitting complement to duPont REGISTRY's own audience of serious collectors and enthusiasts. OCTAD.ONE is curated by Limited100, which remains the collector's route into the wider world Wright has built: over 700 handcrafted, Made in Britain-certified prints shipped to 500+ collectors worldwide, working with the same roster of award-winning automotive photographers behind the Octad. Collectors following the collection on duPont REGISTRY can expect more soon; OCTAD.ONE is preparing a full listing on the new duPont REGISTRY Store, bringing the initiative directly to one of the platform's most engaged collector audiences. Prospective collectors may submit a private enquiry via octad.one to be among the first contacted.
