Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Beat its own 'Ring Record

There is always room for improvement at Jaguar's Special Vehicle Operations. As we have learned in their latest press release, engineers fitted their fastest sedan with a new Track Pack. This removes the rear seats and adds a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. Armed with these improvements, the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 beat its own 'Ring record. Back in November of 2017, they were able to set a sedan record time of 7 minutes, 21.23 seconds. Development driver Vincent Radermecker dropped the car into track mode. This lowers and firms the suspension in preparation to attack the Nordschleife. Adjustable aerodynamics front and rear were set for maximum downforce, and the fastest run of the day was a blistering 7 minutes 18.361 seconds. Jaguar Smashes Electric Speedboat World Record

Usually, water and electricity don't mix. That is why the speed record for electric boats has stayed at 76.8 mph for a long time. So Jaguar decided to show off their dedication to Formula E racing by installing the battery from their race car. The powertrain is a collaboration between Jaguar Vector Racing and Williams Advanced Engineering.2019 Jaguar I-Pace Revealed: First Electric Jag SUVTurning to a veteran of speedboat racing, Peter Dredge is the pilot and Technical Director of the project. This sleek outboard powerboat might look calm at an idle, but we don't recommend tossing a Jaguar into a lake and not expect some intense protest by the big cat. The team decided to go for the record at Coniston Water in Cumbria. This lake is 5 miles long and mostly surrounded by hills. It makes for a perfect spot for a record-breaking attempt. After a few shakedowns, Peter was clocked at a 2-way average speed of 88.6 mph. The future of electric boating looks bright, so stay with us for all your Jaguar updates.Browse Jaguar For Sale

Jaguar I-Pace Prototype Testing in LA

Jaguar has seen record sales for 2017, with one model outshining the rest. We love the F-Type and the mean SVR, but the F-Pace has been a runaway success. Sales of SUVs make up a large segment of the US market, so the engineers at Jaguar/Land Rover have something new arriving for 2018. The I-Pace is not simply an electric version of the F-Pace. It is England's first all-electric SUV, and it has two AC motors powered by the latest in lithium-ion technology.2018 Jaguar E-Pace Arriving In JulyWired was able to ride shotgun in the first production-ready prototype, and the video was uploaded to Dailymotion this morning. Details on the new model will be coming soon, and hopefully, it will match the concept we saw last year. It is predicted to have a 0-60 time of 4.0 seconds, thanks to a combined 400 horsepower. The body is built around a 90 kWh battery in order to provide a range of 300 miles. It will not be inexpensive as it is aimed at the Tesla Model X. It offers almost 70 cubic feet of storage when the 2nd row is folded, along with perfect weight distribution.Saving the best for last, the engineers have somehow shoved the SVR 575 horsepower supercharged V8 into the XJR sedan. Their flagship model has been in production since 1968, but it has never had anywhere near this much power. It is the same engine found in the F-Type SVR and the insane XE Project 8.The 5.0-liter super sedan is the XJR575, and it starts at $122,400.
