Jeep Unveils Wrangler Rubicon Recon

Julius Caesar was warned by the Roman Senate to stay North of the Rubicon River. In control of his 13th Leigon, he sent scouts ahead before the invasion. These soldiers needed to be quick across any territory, much like an agile 4WD. That's why Jeep has unveiled the new Wrangler Rubicon Recon. It makes use of the light & efficient 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder, along with an eTorque hybrid technology. Because eTorque is available at idle, the transfer case low-range is now 4.01. Combined with Dana locking differentials, it allows the 33" Falken Mud-Terrains to go anywhere. Steel bumpers, fender flares, and rock sliders are all standard equipment, with an MSRP of $43,380 for the 2-door, or $46,880 for the four-door. Fab Fours First Jeep Gladiator Heading to Daytona Jeep Beach

The Jeep Gladiator has only been in production for a few days, and one of them is not like the others. You need to head south this weekend because our friends at Fab Fours have a Jeep Gladiator heading to Daytona Jeep Beach. After taking delivery at the factory, they drove through the night to get home. Once they arrived at Fab Four Headquarters, a team was ready to transform it. First up was their fabricated plate steel bumper. It has several integrated LEDs along with a Warn winch. One crew dispensed with the factory wheels and tires to instal Grid GD3s wrapped in General Grabbers. The other guys made sure the doors were safely stored for the weekend. In their place are Fab Four's tubular steel units. They provide great ventilation and they are much lighter than the factory pieces. Once it was loaded with show supplies, they hit the road for Daytona. Jeep Week 2019 is shaping up to be a massive event, so stop by Booth I5 to see this one along with a gorgeous Super Duty. We might see you there, so stay with us for all your Fab Fours updates. https://www.facebook.com/fabfours/videos/2304641232962604/

Jeep & Mopar Unveil Six Concepts for Easter Safari 2019

Jeepers have been celebrating Easter at Moab, Utah for 53 years. What began as an enthusiast event has been adopted by Fiat Chrysler as a way to interact with their customers. This tradition grows larger every year thanks to social media and the growing Wrangler fan base. In order to show us what they are capable of, Jeep & Mopar unveiled six concepts for Easter Safari 2019. Tell us what you think of these slick six Jeeps: First up is the Jeep Wayout: This new Gladiator Overland makes use of the generous payload rating to support a full canopy above the bed. The Jeep Flatbill is aimed at Motocross riders, with two bikes mounted in the bed. It wears Rubicon trim, complete with fender vents, an aggressive hood, and a cloth top. If you like classic lines, the Five-Quarter is a classic 1968 M-715. These rugged Army trucks were based on the classic Gladiator. The name is a nod to the Army's rating of 1 & 1/4 tons, which was conservative given their reverence by veterans. This resto-mod uses late model suspension and modern upgrades to tackle the trails. Mopar delivered the Jeep J6. It has styling reminiscent of classic Jeep trucks along with a host of upgrades available from the dealer. If you have been looking for a classic CJ-8, the new Jeep JT Scrambler is an 80's themed Gladiator with the latest in Mopar performance parts. Last up is the Jeep Gladiator Gravity. This one appeals to the rock crawling community, showcasing suspension upgrades already available at your dealer. Browse Jeep Wrangler For Sale " width="680">

Jeep Wrangler Hard Rock Feature

2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock Review

With age comes refinement and wisdom, and that is what we experienced in the 2017 Jeep Wrangler. For the 75th model year of the iconic 4WD Fiat-Chrysler released a Hard Rock edition for the top of the line Rubicon. We spent a week with a 4 door (Unlimited) model and it was thoroughly impressive. We have several Jeeps in the collection downstairs including a 1963 Station Wagon and a 2007 Wrangler Unlimited. A new Wrangler will arrive next year, so this will be the grand finale of the JK series. The Hard Rock edition arrives with body and chassis upgrades, taking cues from the aftermarket. At first glance, we were struck by the aggressive looks of the latest model. Taking cues from the aftermarket, the front bumper is steel with provisions for a winch. Rock sliders under the doors serve double duty as convenient step bars, and a Power Dome hood looks ready for battle. Two tone 17" wheels are wrapped in 32" BFG Mud Terrain tires, which are a decent compromise between asphalt agility and traction on the trails. Although Florida has no shortage of muddy situations, our offroad evaluation was limited to the grassy knoll in front of our HQ.On the streets of St. Petersburg, the Wrangler proved to be more comfortable than any of its predecessors. It does feel heavier due to thick skid plates and a ton of options. This is where the modern Jeep remains relevant in the modern era. Some of us view the plethora of content as pandering to a diverse market, and straying away from the core ideology. Hardcore Jeepers would probably laugh at the idea of power locks and heated leather seats, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. Being able to disconnect the sway bar electronically is nice, but why involve a complicated system in lieu of removing two bolts? Other superfluous parts include power locks, nine speaker audio, trailer sway dampening, and hill descent control. To make up for the additional weight, the standard 3.73 differentials are swapped in favor of a 4.10 in locking Dana 44 axles. What has not changed is the 3.6 liter V6. While most late model V6 engines are rated above 300 hp, the Wrangler must make due with 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The transfer case has a 4:1 low range which makes up for the deficit with a great crawl ratio, but acceleration on the street is less than stellar. On the other hand, Wrangler owners are not interested in quarter mile times so the V6 is perfectly adequate. For $47,620 you will receive the most well appointed Jeep ever built. All Jeep Wrangler For Sale
