Design and Exterior
The Lamborghini Centenario is an unadulterated work of art and a genuine marvel of modern engineering, maintaining Lamborghini’s philosophy to design and build the ‘most striking and technically advanced cars in the world’. Taking its design cues from their modern lineup – the angularity of the Aventador and the creases of the Huracán – the Centenario slips more than easily into a discourse about the future, specifically that of the human psyche, like a hairpin turn in need of a rear diffuser and an active rear wing, setting it up for optimal downforce and aerodynamic scrub. The entire exterior is composed almost entirely of carbon fiber: an obvious material choice for the benefit of reduced weight, but which also aids in structural rigidity.

Engine and Performance
At its core is one of the most powerful engines Lamborghini has ever made: a naturally aspirated V12, pumping 770 horsepower from its 6.5 liters. Thanks to the Centenario’s lightweight carbon fiber construction, it makes 3,351lb – a fitting weight for the car built to honor Ferrari. That’s enough, in case you were wondering, to fire the Centenario from a standstill to 62mph in 2.8 seconds, and from 0-186mph in 23.5 seconds. Top speed is more than 217mph. Barely believable for a road car. There’s a permanent four-wheel drive system on board, but the real clever tech comes with Lamborghini’s patented four-wheel steering, which applies extra power to the rear wheels and turns them in opposite directions to those up front. This makes it nearly impossible to shove the Centenario off the line on anything but the very worst surfaces.
Interior and Customization
The interior is as luxurious as you’d expect from a £1.8 million custom commission. Choices of interior trim and exterior paint scheme are different. Each car is personalized according to the owner’s preferences through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam customization program, which offers options such as different leather and piping colors, stitching and material options for the cabin, as well as trimmings from Alcantara, Nappa leather, and Alstonate. As standard, you get a 10.1-inch touchscreen navigation system, Apple CarPlay and in-depth telemetry, which enables you to interrogate your own driving to make it better.
