The Upcoming New Lamborghini Urus Model Set The SUV Recor...

The new Lamborghini Urus model is setting records before it’s even introduced itself. For a while, Lamborghini has made it clear that a new version of its incredibly popular, luxurious, and powerful Urus Super SUV is on the horizon, and with the Urus taking Lamborghini off the beaten path and out of its comfort zone as a brand, this new Urus is ready to prove with numbers that Lamborghini’s SUVs are as fearsomely strong on the track as its supercars. The venue chosen to achieve this feat was the track used for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, which is one of the most famed and important tracks in the rally world. A record at Pikes Peak is undeniably respected and the hill climb has been a challenge for drivers, cars, and brands the world over for over 100 years. MUST READ: Lamborghini Urus Engine, Specs & Prices Pirelli test driver Simone Faggioli was put behind the wheel of the still-camouflaged new Urus to take on the 156 turns on the 12.42-mile-long route, which was closed to traffic for the occasion and climb up to 14,115 feet to finish the race, and he was able to get there in 10 minutes and 32 seconds. Because this new Urus model has not made an official debut yet, it was not entered in the official race, but the time was recorded by official timekeepers of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, and it bested the previous non-race day manufacturer record for SUVs of 12:35.610, as well as the current race day record for SUVs of 10:49.902, which was set by Rhys Millen in a Bentley Bentayga in 2018. With its twin-turbocharged V8 engine and tires that are an evolution of the current Urus’ Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R set developed for SUVs to perform well on both dry and wet asphalt, the vehicle was standard besides safety modifications like a roll cage, race seats, and fire extinguisher. As the reveal and debut of the new Lamborghini Urus model approaches, it already has one of the automotive world’s greatest accolades to its name. Lamborghini's New "Esperienza Avventura" Takes the Urus T...

The Urus brings the Lamborghini brand to places it’s never traversed before, and this new Lamborghini experience shows that off. For most of the time that the brand has been in existence, few have thought of Lamborghini as a brand that was ready for adventure, but the introduction of the Urus SUV changed that, and with a new series of events called “Esperienza Avventura,” Lamborghini is eager to take the Urus off the beaten path. This new program of events is made for Lamborghini customers who want to experience the full adventuring potential of the Urus hailing from Europe and the Middle East. MUST READ: Lamborghini Celebrates The Espada 400 GT During The 60th Anniversary Of Its V12 Engine Lasting a month, 50 of these customers participated in daily stages of around 180 miles in stunning locations on the southern Icelandic coast. The cars were subjected to a range of terrains, from the lava flow of the new Geldingadalir Valley volcano on the Reykjanes Peninsula to the Kvernufoss waterfall, the Katla Glacier, the Jokursarlon Glacier Lagoon, and more. Watch A Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Tow A Lamborghin...

The track-inspired Lamborghini Huracán proves to be more of a functional every day driver. While Automobili Lamborghini defines itself as a supercar manufacturer with models like the Aventador and Huracán, the brand established its dominance in the luxury SUV class with the introduction of the Urus. The Lamborghini Urus was the answer to every question asking why Super-SUVs were not a thing, incorporating towing capabilities into an everyday drivable Italian supercar. For automotive YouTuber Alex Choi, he believes that his Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo build is just as capable of towing with just a few minor upgrades. MUST-READ: 2023 Lamborghini Urus Price, Horsepower, 0-60 In a recent video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Alex fits his 1,250-horsepower twin-turbocharged Huracán with a class four tailer hitch that bolts to the subframe. After a failed first attempt at getting a blue Lamborghini Urus on the car trailer for a test run, Alex goes back to his garage to see if his modified Audi RS6 Avant will fit for his first delivery run. The test drive takes Alex Choi to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills where bystanders are jaw-dropped at the scene of a Lamborghini Huracán towing a full-size Audi sport wagon. The fun continues as the modified Huracán launches and burns out with more trailer companions like a Toyota Tacoma and Lamborghini Huracàn STO. Intending to recreate a viral video of a Urus towing a Huracan, Alex finds a larger trailer and a red Lamborghini Urus to capture the infamous role reversal. Lamborghini Urus Price, Specs, and Photos

Urus Price The Lamborghini Urus for sale is approximately $218,000 brand new although approximately 70% of buyers spend an average of an extra $40,000 to customize their Super SUVs. As only the second SUV released by the iconic brand, Lamborghini has exceeded expectations for their latest crossover. Despite the huge interest in the Lamborghini Urus specs, production numbers are only expected to reach around 9,000 to maintain the exclusivity that Lamborghini is accustomed to. This will ensure that the Lamborghini Urus price does not fall below its current value, however, buyers who are interested in purchasing a used Lamborghini Urus in the future should be prepared to shell out for the upgrades and luxury options that many are opting for. Considering all that you get, no matter the options the Lamborghini SUV price is well worth it. The Urus is not only a Lamborghini, a vehicle everyone wants to be seen in, it's also incredibly capable. VIDEO REVIEW: Lamborghini Urus Urus Review First introduced to the market at the end of 2017, the new Lamborghini Urus specs shocked the world with its debut as the world’s very first Super Sports Utility Vehicle. Created and manufactured by the renowned Italian automaker, the expectation for the Lamborghini Urus horsepower is 641 hp. After an in-depth Lamborghini Urus review, however, the breathtaking SUV undoubtedly proves that it is worthy of donning the legendary Lamborghini brand. From the impeccable driving elements to its flawless acceleration and undeniable curb appeal, the Urus marries together practicality and exorbitance to establish an entirely new species of Sports Utility Vehicles. Urus Specs After a few laps of urban and highway driving, we decided to see what makes the Lamborghini Urus for sale such an attractive machine. First, it makes use of a compact 4-liter V8 and twin turbos. When spooled, they provoke the raging bull to run 0-60 mph in 2.93 seconds. If you have the constitution to handle such acceleration, the Lamborghini Urus top speed is 190 mph. Not many SUVs will ever be able to match the 1/4 mile times of 11.3 at 121 mph. Given the Lamborghini Urus weight of nearly 5,000 lbs without passengers, the Lamborghini Urus performance is easy to see Lamborghini Urus Specs: Price: $255,000 Engine: 4.0-liter Twin Turbo V8 Transmission: 8-speed Automatic Horsepower: 641 hp Torque: 627 lb-ft 0-60 mph: 2.93 seconds 1/4-Mile: 11.2 Seconds @ 120 mph Top Speed: 190 mph Weight: 4,844 lbs Urus Engine Fueled by a robust V-8 bi-turbo engine, the Lamborghini Urus specs are nothing short of impressive. Generating 641 horsepower and maximum torque of 627 lb-ft allow the super SUV to reach a staggering top speed of 190 MPH. Equally, awe-inspiring is the Lamborghini Urus 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds. While the engine itself is powerful, the performance is enhanced by Lamborghini’s focus on the power-to-weight ratio, which is ranked as number one among all SUVs currently on the market. It is the first Lamborghini V8 to use reverse-flow heads. The intake manifolds are outboard while the exhaust ports feed both turbos inside the valley. Not only do they spool instantly, but the catalytic converters and oxygen sensors are also relatively easy to access. It is half the size of the engine found in Lamborghini's first SUV and makes twice the power. Not only will your family arrive in style, but you can also tow 7,000 lbs with ease Urus Transmission The 2018 Lamborghini Urus is operated with an exclusive 8-speed automatic transmission that allows for a smooth transition from stop to go and every move in-between. Built to order by ZF, each ratio was chosen to keep the engine in its powerband with the turbos spinning. Harnessing the power of the engine and this well-balanced weight-to-power ratio, the Lamborghini Urus specs a transmission that gains assistance from several other features. Implementations such as permanent 4-wheel drive and active torque vectoring enable the Urus to tackle any terrain. What's more, the Urus is equipped with a top-of-the-line Adaptive Network Intelligent Management (ANIMA) selector that comes complete with six driving modes, including Strada, Sport, Corsa, Sabbia, Neve, Terra, and Ego modes. Each of these modes enhances the performance of the Urus in specific circumstances to give drivers total control of their driving experience while maintaining a sporty behavior. Urus Brakes Like most Lamborghini Urus specs, it arrives equipped with an advanced braking system. In the front, the Lamborghini Urus brakes are equipped with 10 piston brake calipers while single-piston calipers are placed in the rear. Also comparable to the sports car renditions, these highly renowned brakes allow the Urus to go from 60 MPH to a standstill in just 110 feet. The front rotors are 17.3" with 10-piston calipers while the rears measure 14.5: with six pistons. Not only are they the largest carbon ceramics, but the Lamborghini Urus brakes are also the largest brakes of any production vehicle. They are commanded by the latest instability control, which can be relaxed by changing driving modes. Urus Design Best known for their exotic, sleek, and over-the-top sports cars, Lamborghini Urus specs are those of a groundbreaking SUV. Despite the substantial differences between traditional Lamborghini models and ordinary Sports Utility Vehicles, the Italian automaker set out to combine the best of both worlds without defying the brand’s identity. The result of this concept is a vehicle that is equal parts sports car and off-road SUV. Standing at 64.5 inches in height, 201.3 inches in length, and 79.4 inches in width with a curb weight of 4,900lbs, the Lamborghini Urus is both muscular and sleek with a coupe-like appearance. Urus Interior Step inside the world of a Lamborghini SUV, fully equipped with five seats. From top to bottom, the interior of the 2018 Urus is sophisticated in terms of both aesthetics and technology. From a visual standpoint, the interior exudes fine Italian craftsmanship and an alluring mystique that can only be found in a Lamborghini truck. Dressed in natural leather, Alcantara, and contrasting stitching, there is no doubt that this SUV looks the part. Furthermore, the Lamborghini Urus specs offer the widest variety of customization options ever presented in a Lamborghini to ensure the perfect fit for every owner. When it comes to technology, there is no shortage of state-of-the-art additions in the cockpit. Three separate TFT screens and a virtual keyboard launch the Urus into the future with a focus on driver comfort and control. Despite all of these inclusions, the interior of the Lamborghini Urus remains true to the brand’s DNA and follows the same “Y” dash architecture found within the brand’s flagship sports car models. Urus Standout Features Despite the fact that the Lamborghini Urus is not a traditional super sports car, it is a much more practical purchase for many drivers. With top speeds of 190 MPH, it is the fastest SUV in the world and because of its sports car influence in design, it looks every bit a Lamborghini. Likewise, it is able to comfortably accommodate 5 passengers, unlike most Lamborghini sports cars. This alone has certainly sparked the interest of those who would not ordinarily be interested in a vehicle produced by Lamborghini. Paired with its potent performance, off-road capabilities, and lavish interior that focuses on comfort, the Lamborghini Urus is the ultimate Sports Utility Vehicle. To make the Urus even more capable, Lamborghini unveiled the Urus ST-X, a race-ready version of the SUV that is planned to compete in model-specific races. There were plans for the races to begin in 2020, but the pandemic seemed to push that back. Still, Lamborghini will surely be updating the world with news regarding the Urus ST-X races soon. Lamborghini Urus Travels the Highest Drivable Road in the...

The highest point ever reached by a Lamborghini. Something that I didn't know is that the Umling La Pass in India's Ladakh region is 19,300 feet above sea level. That height puts it above the Everest Base Camp by almost 2,000 feet. Being so high up, the air is thin and cold, and wind speed varies from 25 to 50 mph. Essentially, this is one of the most challenging roads in the world. Lamborghini recently took their Lamborghini Urus SUV to the road to show that it could not only handle the weather conditions but also rough terrain. Not only did the Urus traverse the road, but it did so twice. MUST READ: Lamborghini Urus 0-60, Horsepower, Price & Specs Mr. Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India has this to say regarding the feat: “This is a proud moment for Lamborghini as the Urus unlocks the pinnacle of high-altitude driving across the Umling La Pass. I would like to congratulate the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and its team on their remarkable achievement. When we reached Umling La Pass, even standing for 30 minutes was extremely difficult, and how the team completed the road in such extreme weather conditions is unimaginable. During the 87.5 km-long drive from Hanle to Umling La, Urus performed brilliantly under the Terra and Sport driving modes on a road that sits higher than the base camp of Mount Everest.” See Lamborghini Urus For Sale Source: Lamborghini

Watch Lamborghini x Aaron Durogati Take The Urus Through ...

From the track to the Swiss Alps, the Lamborghini Urus will get you there. The Lamborghini Urus was created as the brand’s first Super SUV, built to bridge the gap between all-terrain and track-inspired performance. Although the Urus is designed as an all-occasion vehicle, many on the road are only used to its minimal potential. Lamborghini is teaming up with two-time world paragliding champion, Aaron Durogati, to put the Urus to the test during his most challenging competition yet. On June 20 Aaron Durogati will start the RedBull X-Alps event, one of the toughest and most adventurous races in the world. The thirty-three selected athletes participating in this edition will compete by ‘hike and fly’ only, to cover the 770-mile Alpine course in the fastest time possible. The race will take place daily between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. until the last athlete completes the route, passing through twelve mandatory checkpoints across Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, and Italy, then back to Austria. Due to its high load capacity and its ability to travel over a wide range of terrains at any pace, the Urus will act as the athlete’s personal support vehicle during the competition, allowing his support team to follow him throughout the race: a race that only the most skilled and strongest athletes can tackle. Thanks to its versatility, sportiness, reliability, and off-road capabilities, the Lamborghini Urus has already supported Aaron Durogati during his preparations for the race. Lamborghini Urus Shatters 1000m Record On Ice

A hot Super SUV tackles the frozen north Lake Baikal is the largest & deepest body of fresh water on Earth. When Russia decided to build their Trans-Siberian railroad, the ice was thick enough to hold freight trains with several steam engines. That's why it can easily handle a Lamborghini. Wanting to thaw out the top speed through 1000 meters, they asked Muscovite Andrey Leontyev to get behind the wheel. He is an 18-time champion of speed weeks at the lake, so his skills speak for themselves. “When I saw the frozen Lake Baikal for the first time I immediately realized that it was a perfect track. Records were being set on impeccable-quality asphalt roads and salt lakes around the world, but in Russia we don’t have any of that. Instead, we have a lot of ice, and that’s how the idea came to me. So I once decided to come to Baikal with a friend and did some racing. Nobody thought this would get us anywhere, but we were determined to make it something big. In the past ten years we gained FIA recognition to make our ice-track records official. We fully abide by all FIA regulations and we have a legitimate record-setting arena.” Along with a team from the FIA, a new Urus hit a top speed of 185 mph in the half-mile. With an average speed of 114 mph, it would be a great starter for our local Tampa Bay Lightning, Our dealers are having a hard time keeping the Urus on the lot and Lamborghini had to add a graveyard shift to keep up with demand. Lamborghini Urus vs BMW X6M Half-Mile Shootout

Super SUV Showdown! Russia has ample room for racing, and that means an invitation to the fastest cars from across Europe and Asia. Half-mile racing is perfect for these high-speed machines, as both are powered by twin-turbo V8 engines with All Wheel Drive. The Italian competitor is a distant cousin of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, and the Bavarian is the flagship of their X-Class, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina. You paid for an entire seat but you are only going to need the edge. That's because Lamborghini offers 641 horsepower with a weight of 4,844 lbs. BMW replies back with 523 horsepower in 5,115 lbs. The Urus also has 100 more lb-ft of torque, but aerodynamics are the name of the game above 120 mph, so hang on for a wild ride. Browse Lamborghini Urus For Sale

Why Black Sabbath Loves Lamborghini

Legendary Guitarist Tommy Iommi shares his love for the brand. If you happen to find yourself on stage shredding with Ozzy, you've made it in life. Being a founding member of Black Sabbath, Tommy has been touring since 1968. When he isn't on the road, he spends time with his Lamborghini collection. In the latest press release from Sant' Agata we learned it all started with a pair of Espadas. From there he bought a pristine Miura SV, the world's first supercar that also happens to be 50 years old this month. Even though Ozzy left and came back a few times, the music is just as powerful as his cars. “For us it was all about sticking to what we do, what we believe in and what we like, from day one and all the way through. I’ve never changed my style because it’s the fashion. We’ve been in and out of fashion ourselves as things around us were constantly changing. But we never compromised and came back as big as ever, until we filled stadiums again. It was brilliant!” “We started the heavy metal genre, which inspired bands like Metallica and Dave Grohl’s Foo Fighters to find their own styles. Music changes as it goes on, but ours has pretty much stayed the same, because that’s what we do: when you’re involved in something and it’s in you, that’s what you play. We have improved it over the years, but we retained the original thing. Equally, Lamborghini has always looked for innovation while always retaining that unmatched power and unmistakable sound.” You know what must be done. Leaving work today, crank up the volume and play NIB on repeat. Tell us your favorite Lamborghini in the comments below and stay with us for all your celebrity car news.
