Range Rover Announces The New Electric Range Rover GT

By Tyler Rampersaud –  July 22, 2026

New Electric Range Rover GT Announced

It’s one of the most talked-about household names in luxury, and Range Rover is arguably the progenitor of the luxury SUV as we know it today. Combining all-terrain capability with elegant design, iconic silhouettes, and opulent appointments, the Range Rover lineup continues to offer some of the world’s favorite luxury SUV models. However, the brand is at a turning point in its history, with the Range Rover Electric on the cusp of launching, and a second electric model, the Range Rover Sport Electric, also announced to be coming soon. Now, yet another EV is joining the Range Rover lineup, and its introduction also marks the fifth model in the Range Rover family, which currently consists of the flagship Range Rover, the Sport, the Velar, and the Evoque. The new model is the Range Rover GT, and as its name suggests, it’s the first Range Rover to be a grand tourer, rather than an SUV. The new Range Rover GT will be manufactured on the new EMA platform, and it will be the first electric Range Rover made on the platform, made alongside hybrid and combustion models in Halewood, England. The Range Rover GT will initially be offered as an electric vehicle, with a hybrid model set to be offered later in its lifecycle. <- Gallery -> Currently, prototypes of the Range Rover GT are undergoing their final road testing, in a camouflage livery inspired by the landscapes of Gaydon, using topographic patterns to create a beautifully flowing gold pattern. Meanwhile, the interior has been teased with the announcement, showcasing an evolution of the minimalist, elegant luxury of Range Rover’s interior design language. A single screen design replaces an instrument cluster with a driver display for a more seamless look, while a woven fabric wraps the dashboard for warmth, hiding the speakers elegantly. As the brand opens a new chapter with the announcement of its grand touring model, more details about the Range Rover GT are set to be announced later this year. New Bespoke Range Rover Classic Matches Range Rover SV Ultra

By Tyler Rampersaud –  July 20, 2026

Bespoke Range Rover Classic Matches Range Rover SV Ultra

Range Rover, one of the most quintessential names in the world of luxury SUVs, is known for over half a century of defining the genre with its many generations, and eventually with a family of models. Land Rover Classic, the division of Land Rover dedicated to preserving, recommissioning, and restoring classic models like the Range Rover Classic, has created a bridge between the Range Rover’s past and present with its latest creation. Set to make its debut at this year’s Monterey Car Week, one of the most prestigious and action-packed moments on the annual automotive calendar, that creation is a bespoke Range Rover Classic, crafted by the experts at Land Rover Classic to match the Range Rover SV Ultra, the new pinnacle flagship model in the current-day Range Rover lineup. Created with innovative technology and materials, the new Range Rover SV Ultra represents the highest level of luxury available in a Range Rover yet. Meanwhile, the Range Rover Classic represents the beginning of the cherished legacy of the nameplate. The bespoke Range Rover Classic, a 1993 example, features the same Titan Silver color that the Range Rover SV Ultra was launched in, which uses aluminum flake and advanced pigment technology to achieve its unique luster. The exterior also features custom wheels, a special hood script, deleted side trims to match the clean lines of the SV Ultra, and a commemorative plaque for the commissioned pair under the hood. <- Gallery -> The interior features the first use of Ultrafabrics upholstery in a Range Rover Classic, matching the Orchid White and Cinder Grey interior of the SV Ultra. The pair features the same laser-etched pattern and perforations, along with color-matched speaker grilles and brushed aluminum handles. At its heart, the Range Rover Classic, originally a US-market Country edition, had its 3.9-liter V8 engine and four-speed automatic transmission restored as part of 2,000 hours of restoration work. Bespoke commissions of the Range Rover Classic have incredible potential, with possibilities including custom embroidery, fine leathers and non-leather materials for interior upholstery, and the ability to match custom exterior colors to client-provided samples. Making its public debut at Monterey Car Week, the matching pair of the present-day Range Rover SV Ultra and the matched bespoke Range Rover Classic will be sold at the RM Sotheby’s live auction, starting on August 14 at 5:30 pm. Before that, the Range Rover Matched Pair will be showcased at the RM Sotheby’s Auction Preview at the Monterey Conference Center between August 12 and August 14. The first bespoke matching pair commission of its kind, the pair not only consists of the bespoke 1993 Range Rover Classic commission, but also the first Range Rover SV Ultra built for the United States market. Showcasing a dedication to luxury, capability, innovation, and stunning design across over 50 years, the bespoke matched pair is a milestone in the Range Rover’s rich history. By Tyler Rampersaud –  July 16, 2026

New Range Rover Sport Electric Announced

The Range Rover Electric is one of the most anticipated new vehicles launching this year. That’s because it reimagines one of the world’s favorite and most foundational luxury SUVs with an all-electric powertrain. With a long history of opulence, driving comfort, and versatile all-terrain capability, the Range Rover Electric has big shoes to fill. However, the model features a design that is nearly identical to the combustion counterpart, and testing has shown that its capabilities match the existing Range Rover lineup as well. Previews of the new Range Rover Electric have already taken place at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Wimbledon, and more, and the model is on the cusp of finally hitting the market after years of anticipation. However, Range Rover has announced that a second EV will soon be joining its lineup, as well: the Range Rover Sport Electric. The Range Rover Sport, a smaller companion to the Range Rover, has just celebrated its 20th anniversary as a nameplate. In that time, the Range Rover Sport has become known for combining the Range Rover’s luxury and elegant design with the athleticism of a smaller footprint. Over the years, Range Rover has showcased the Range Rover Sport completing captivating feats, like climbing the 999 stairs of Heaven’s Gate in China, and relentlessly facing an Icelandic spillway. <- Gallery -> Today, the Range Rover Sport lineup includes several powertrains, including a plug-in hybrid, six-cylinder, and V8 engines. However, the Range Rover Sport Electric will add an all-electric powertrain to that selection and redefine the luxury electric SUV landscape along with the flagship Range Rover Electric. Exclusively previewed at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Range Rover Sport Electric took on a series of driving challenges on the iconic Goodwood Motor Circuit. Introducing new advanced technology for power and torque, as well as a chassis tune and audio experience developed specifically for the car, the Range Rover Sport Electric looks to translate the staple luxury SUV’s excellence for an EV driver on all terrain. About the new model, Range Rover’s Managing Director, Martin Limpert, said, “Electric power brings a new edge to Range Rover Sport. The preview at Goodwood Festival of Speed is only a glimpse of how this model will redefine performance SUVs again later this year, combining the refinement and immediate performance of electric drive while further elevating the unmistakable character of Range Rover Sport our clients already know and love.” After twenty years of being one of the world’s favorite luxury SUVs, the Range Rover Sport is ready to open a new chapter with electric power. Later this year, more details about the upcoming Range Rover Sport Electric will be announced. View All Range Rover Sport For Sale Image Source: JLR

Defender Rally Brings D7X-R To Goodwood

Defender Rally is in the midst of its inaugural season racing in the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship, and the current racing season is the result of long anticipation. It started with the legendary Dakar Rally, in which Defender Rally triumphed in its class, and the races that have taken place since then have proved successful for the team, as well. Defender Rally has made motorsport history by running the first all-female crew to ever compete in the Desafío Ruta 40 in Argentina, and other highlight moments have marked an already noteworthy debut season for the team. At the center of it all is the Defender D7X-R, the vehicle with which Defender Rally is competing in the championship’s Stock category. It’s based on and closely related to the roadgoing Defender OCTA, Defender’s performance and luxury flagship that combines a 626-horsepower twin-turbo V8 engine with the most advanced off-road capability and the most luxurious appointments seen in a Defender yet. At this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, Defender Rally is showcasing the Dakar-winning D7X-R at the event. In 2025, the rally vehicle was at the Festival of Speed as a prototype, but it has since forged a successful racing legacy, proving itself on some of the toughest stages in the rally world. The D7X-R will be on the Hillclimb and the off-road arena at this year’s Festival of Speed, and alongside it, Defender will showcase a new derivative, the most significant visual update since the launch of the modern Defender, other new models, and icons from Land Rover Classic. Visitors to the Festival of Speed will enjoy passenger off-road drives from Defender, showcasing the impressive capabilities of the model lineup, and the Defender Perfect Pass rugby challenge, which is returning for 2026. The passing game highlights Defender’s quarter-century of support for the sport of rugby, including its role as Official Vehicle Partner of England Rugby. With a display of its highly successful rally car, as well as several other aspects of its iconic, celebrated off-roading brand, Defender’s presence at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed will be an exciting one.
