Zach Eberly: Industrial Inspired Art

The rustbelt. A gritty industrial landscape who's heart, Cleveland, artist Zach Eberly calls home. Growing up working in industrial fabrication he has spent most of his life with the manufacturers that built the backbone of the country's infrastructure. The steel mills, auto plants, assembly lines, all fuel his creativity and hold deep meanings within his work. With his art, he’s preserving the gritty rough and tumble past that today’s America came from. Title: Closing In Size 50 x 102 inches“The industrial world that created us barely exists anymore,” Eberly said. “Woodshop, auto shop, those gritty classes I took in high school are gone.”The world is slowly changing, but his current works, large, minimalistic and bold, strive to hold on to the art of industry. The mixed media depictions of his beloved Cleveland have the exact texture to visually "feel" the rust belt's epicenter. Similar to the collector of beautiful classic cars, who holds in high esteem the craftsmanship of the auto industry’s early years, Eberly transcribes an industrial world with paint, ink, sometimes even earth, and canvas. Many manufacturers are currently launching entire departments and divisions dedicated to preserving their classic models; Jaguar recently launched a full line of E-type body parts from their Heritage department, and Ferrari’s Classiche Department is the centerpiece of any visit to their Maranello headquarters. Title: CLE, Size: 96 x 144 inchesAnd as Eberly describes, it’s because the beauty of those cars is timeless. “They are coveted things, and people don’t ever want them to go away.”With one of his industry-inspired pieces, a part of that mechanical heritage can be a part of your home or office at all times. The artist does commissioned work and makes stretchers of wood or steel to fit any size space. He offers pieces that can cover an entire factory wall or small enough to fit an 8 x 10 picture frame. A piece’s focus can be an inspiration from your own life, mixed media work can incorporate interesting personal tones such as oil from a car, though it will always hold the strength of a mechanical tone.To learn more about Eberly’s creations, visit www.zacheberly.com or contact his broker Rob Scharfeld direct at RobS.artbroker@gmail.com . Also, if you happen to be in the Manhattan area spring 2016, keep an eye out for a pop-up art gallery featuring a new body of Zach's work. We hear the series is based on old auto manufacturers and will be shown along side some serious horse power.Gallery duPont REGISTRY Exotic Cars

Customizable Shooting Ranges from Shooting Range Industries

Honolulu is a beautiful, but landlocked city. With space at a premium, an outdoor gun range is almost unthinkable. That’s why the AirForce’s 154th wing, which comprises the Hawaii Air National Guard, needed a compact solution for small arms training.Thinking outside the box, our friends at Shooting Range Industries took their popular and portable self-contained individual shooting ranges and combined them into the Modular Containerized Small Arms Training Sets (MCSATS), as Ho'okele News reported reported Aug. 14.Learn MoreThe MCSATS are prefabricated, freestanding buildings with central heat and air, along with the most advanced sound insulation available. Each of the 12 lanes within features programmable lighting, and can simulate daylight or nighttime scenarios. Since the facility is on-site, it allows for training day or night, without the hassle of scheduling transportation, and probably saving the taxpayers a few dollars. The MCSATS are completely customizable, from the number of lanes to interior amenities. Other satisfied customers include the Air National Guard of Nevada and New York, and consequently, more orders have been placed. If you have thought about owning or opening a range, ShootingRange Industries has the solution. Learn more at their website, www.ShootingRangeIndustries.com.Gallery Sponsored by:

GRAHAM Chronofighter Oversize Navy SEAL Foundation Watch

With knowledge derived from centuries of watch making experience, GRAHAM has created a new timepiece meant to commemorate those who take on the world's most extreme battles: the Navy SEALS.Just released Sept. 1 is the Chronofighter Oversize Navy SEAL Foundation watch, a stunning and impeccably durable timepiece. It was created to withstand the same environments as the SEALs, while helping the families and support systems of those soldiers."Whether faced with scorching deserts, freezing Arctic landscapes, or hot and humid jungles, this GRAHAM timepiece has been tested and proven to endure," describes a release from the company marking the Chronofighter's release. And its design reflects its purpose; a digital camouflage pattern creates a low profile for the face, while a PVD case made from 47 mm steel keeps it all tightly together. Each aspect of the watch blends seamlessly together, aside from two notable points.Between the 10 and 12 on the watch's face, above GRAHAM's insignia, is the Navy SEAL Foundation logo. On the sapphire crystal back, that logo again appears, but in front of the watch's only colors: red, white and blue on a waving American flag. ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, GUAM (January 11, 2000) – At 12,000 feet, a U.S. Navy SEAL (Sea Air Land) salutes as he exits a C-2 Carrier Onboard Delivery (COD) aircraft from Fleet Logistics Squadron Three Zero (VRC-30) Detachment Five, during parachute training over Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer’s Mate 1st Class Chris Desmond. The Navy SEAL Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to support U.S. Navy Seals, Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman, NSW support personnel and the families of each worldwide. Their comprehensive set of programs help ease the stress of adjusting to life as a part of the SEALs, including improving health and welfare, building and enhancing resiliency and providing support in case of injury, illness or loss. The values of both the SEALS and the SEALS Foundation are those of courage, determination and precision - values that also lie at the heart of GRAHAM's operations. It was from finding this like-minded approach to life and work, as well as a respect for the immense sacrifices made by the US' special operations forces, that lead to the creation of this new timepiece."We were drawn to the Navy SEAL Foundation because of their excellent work supporting those who give so much to support others,” described Eric Loth, GRAHAM founder, in a release commemorating the watch's introduction. The Chronofighter features a 48-hour power reserve, black ceramic bezel, domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both faces and water resistance to depths up to 330 feet. Only 500 examples will be created, with the purchase of each guaranteeing a donation to the Navy SEAL Foundation. Take a moment to see the Chronofighter in closer detail in the gallery below, and visit GRAHAM's website to learn more about finding one for you.More InfoGallery Sponsored by:  duPontREGISTRY.com

Gumball 3000 Collection from ARMIN STROM

It's been just over three months since car spotters around the world waited in anticipation for the Gumball 3000 Rally to come through their town, but ARMIN STROM has ensured that just because the event ended, "Gumball fever" doesn't have to, too. RG15-GB.90 Tourbillon Gumball 3000The Gumball 3000 Collection was first introduced just ahead of the rally's May 23 kickoff in Stockholm, where Serge Michel and Claude Greisler, the owner and director of ARMIN STROM, respectively, joined the drive. The two traveled as ARMIN STROM Team 78, with the Techart GT Street R Cabriolet, based on the Porsche 997, as their mode of transport across continents. The "78" in their team name is derived from Greisler and Michel's birth year - both were born in 1978.And while driving for Team 78, each wore a specially crafted timepiece for the event. The ARMIN STROM Skeleton Pure Team 78 matched their Porsche, with sleek black as the main color and striking lime accents. These two were crafted specifically for them, but the Gumball 3000 Collection is a bit more accessible."ARMIN STROM director and chief horologist Claude Greisler collaborated with Gumball 3000 founder Maximillion Cooper, to interpret the boisterous rock 'n' roll atmosphere of the rally into powerful watch designs," describes ARMIN STROM's release announcing the numbered-edition watches. TI15-GB.90 Double Barrel Gumball 3000The Tourbillon Gumball 3000 watch features a stunning rose gold case, with the Gumball 3000 name discretely found on the face. The Gumball logo is a little more loudly announced on the Manual Gumball 3000, which features a stainless steel PVD black case and the event's 2015 logo on the face. The back is engraved with "2015 Gumball 3000 17th Anniversary Edition," as well as the image of a small airplane with the rally's start and end points, Stockholm and Las Vegas. The third timepiece in the collection is the Double Barrel Gumball 3000. A titanium PVD black case contrasts nicely against golden trim lines and a carbon fiber inlay. The face and the back of the watch both feature the 2015 Gumball logo, large enough to be visibly noticeable, but not so large as to overpower the stunning design of the watch itself. Built for Classics: Waterfront Automotive Abode on Florid...

Halfway down Florida's Atlantic coast, closer to Cocoa Beach than Miami, sits a home in a private gated community with more than a few unique features.Indian River Shores in Vero Beach, Florida is a quiet community devoid of high-rise condo buildings and hotels that block the skyline of many other beach towns. Within Indian River Shores is John's Island, a 1,650 acre private community where residents and members have access to three 18-hole golf courses, 1- Har-tru tennis courts with a court-side cafe, a health and fitness center, professional croquet and 32-miles of private shaded roads.Ferrari For Sale Of course, the true draw to the area is the seemingly unlimited access to the water. Both the private beaches and waterways on John's Island Sound make boating, fishing and swimming daily activities. But at one home overlooking the Sound, there's another draw - with a little more focus on asphalt related activities."In 1984, Ben Caskey designed, with the help of renowned architect James Gibson, this 'one of a kind' personal residence to share with eight of his favorite classics," describes the description of this automotive-focused home. The center of the home, its two-story great room, wasn't made for the television to be on display; rather, etched glass windows look into the two four-car garages, showcasing each car stored within. Next to the cars is a custom bar, fully ready for mixing any drink after arriving home from a Sunday drive. There's room for another four cars out front underneath the porte cochere, just in front of the antique, double-front doors. Sourced from a Charleston hotel that survived shelling during the Civil War, these doors are simply the first statement of this four bedroom, three and a half bathroom home's purpose: to put fine history and classic beauty on full display for all to see.Which eight cars will you park in the garages when this becomes your home?
