duPont REGISTRY No. 490 - March 2026

In this edition, we explore how today’s most exceptional cars become rolling works of art, where engineering excellence meets high design through bespoke craftsmanship and personalization that’s as defining as performance.

In this edition, we turn our focus to the rarefied world where engineering excellence meets high design, celebrating not just the remarkable cars we are privileged to experience but also the artistry behind their creation. From the nuanced palette of bespoke paintwork and hand-stitched leathers to the advanced composites, rare metals, and finishes shaped by master craftspeople, luxury today is defined as much by personalization as performance. These are the fine details that elevate vehicles into rolling works of art, tailored to reflect each owner’s taste and identity.

Our cover car embodies that ethos. To mark the 50th anniversary of American motorsports and tuning icon ANDIAL, Porsche created a distinctive design wrap offered exclusively for the new Type 992.2 911 GT3. Rather than simply admiring its vivid livery, road tester Michael Teo Van Runkle spent a full week living with the grip-laden, 500-horsepower Germanic thoroughbred and came away smiling. Also inside our BUY pages, I could only marvel at the Delage D12 that swung by our offices. A V12-powered hypercar from France, its design credo was simple: produce a road-legal Formula 1 car. The result is simply incroyable!

In DRIVE, Basem Wasef samples Ferrari’s new Amalfi grand tourer, which replaces the Roma in Maranello’s lineup. A drive through the Algarve’s mountainous roads in Portugal puts the Amalfi’s handling and refinement to a proper real-world test. Elsewhere, we look at Rimac’s ultra-exclusive Founder’s Edition program, and report from a standout moment at Miami Beach’s Art Basel: Lamborghini’s first U.S.-commissioned Temerario, created through its bespoke Ad Personam program.

The LIVE section opens with Cadillac’s color strategy, as Tyler Rampersaud discovers how the luxury brand curates the palettes that will define its future. From there, we explore the latest artisanal collaboration between Maserati and Alfa Romeo, and preview Maybach’s stunning new ultraluxury yacht concept. Staying with the theme of OEM collaborations, Jordan Aquistapace spotlights a selection of products where automotive thinking and elevated design intersect.

Finally, SELL showcases a curated lineup of the world’s most desirable exotic, classic, and luxury automobiles, spotlighting Sarchione Auto Gallery, while Andrew Riedell reviews last year’s automotive auction results and draws some fascinating conclusions.

Happy reading, and as always, drive safely!
