Custom Amels 256-Foot Superyacht Undergoes First Set of S...

The fully custom superyacht took to the seas during some rather unpleasant weather. While the Damen Yachting website lists the Custom Amels 78 superyacht as being under construction, their latest video shows her taking to the seas looking majestic. This bespoke superyacht is a 78-meter, or 256-foot, superyacht that has an exterior designed by Espen Øino and an interior by Zuretti Interior Designers. She has room to accommodate 14 guests, as well as a crew of 26 plus a captain and a staff of two. Needless to say, the Custom Amels 78 is a massive vessel, but she is most certainly filled with luxurious appointments. Unfortunately, we don't know what the interior looks like, but I'm sure we will be seeing inside soon. Until then, check her out as she undergoes her first sea trials in the video up above. The 380 cabin provides a completely residential experience centered on the U-shaped Ultraleather® lounge with dual-height, high-gloss wood table that can accommodate friends for dinner or be lowered for sleeping. Berth legroom is easily revealed by raising the forward backrest. The starboard side lower kitchen is beautifully presented in your choice of woodgrain finishes and rich Corian countertop selections. Clever slide-out storage boasts a hardwood divided dovetailed drawer with paper towel keeper and automatic silent closure. Spacious open and concealed cupboard space above keeps it all in place. The 32” LED/LCD HDTV with Blu-ray™ player is perfectly positioned to entertain your guests. To port is the electronics pylon with Rockford Fosgate stereo remote control, touch air conditioning control and light switches. Digital switching offers chartplotter connectivity and light dimming control. Four cabin speakers bring pure audio clarity while blue LED accent lighting acts as a dramatic design element throughout. The spacious head features a molded vanity with Corian countertop, molded fiberglass sink with upscale Moen® faucet, woodgrain-finish lower cabinet, and porcelain Flush and Forget® Vacuflush® head unit and shower. The aft cabin stateroom with privacy curtain features a permanent queen-size bed with memory foam mattress, so there is no need to convert the lounge for primary sleeping. The upholstered headboard with hideaway storage, pillow shams, two dual USB charging ports, available 32˝ LED/LCD HDTV with Blu-ray player and deep storage areas at the foot of the bed make this a perfect retreat. The 380 SSC incorporates FAS3Tech multi-step hull technology and a molded structural grid to deliver the sure-footed performance that is a Formula hallmark. Learn What Makes the $25 Million Dynamiq GTT 160 Superyac...

This superyacht is much more than an unbelievably pretty face. At 162 feet, the Dynamiq GTT 160 is most certainly a superyacht, but the name points to a very specific aspect of her. The "GTT" in the name stands for Gran Turismo Transatlantic. This points to the fact she can embark on, you guessed it, transatlantic voyages. What's more, the GTT 160 can partake in these long-distance cruises in modern luxury. Onboard, she features six guest cabins, a master stateroom with two balconies, a touch-and-go helipad, a splendid aft beach club area, and luxurious appointments found in every single area. But the GTT 160 is more than just a lavish superyacht. Her hull form allows her to travel comfortably while the twin MAN i6-730 engines offer up a max speed of 17 knots. This speed can be increased further with the GTT 160S option, which is equipped with twin MAN V12-1800 engines that propel her to a max speed of 23 knots. You can learn all about this impressive superyacht and her design from the naval architects and designers that made her possible clicking play up above. Source: BeDynamiq.com

Hacker-Craft Boats: Hand Crafted Since 1908

Presented by Hacker-Craft - The story of Hacker-Craft begins all the way back in 1891 when founder John L. Hacker built his first boat - a rowboat. This one boat would prove to be the catalyst for Mr. Hacker's future in the marine world. From there, he would go on to create many extraordinary vessels like the Kitty Hawk II in 1916, which was billed as the fastest boat in the world for power at its time, as well as six runabouts for E.W. Gregory of Belle Isle Boat and Engine Company in 1921. It wasn't until 1929 that the famous Hacker Boat Company logo was applied to boats, but it was done so in brilliant fashion. These logos were applied to boats by hand with thin 23-carat gold leaf sheets tapped that were tapped onto the boat's mahogany planing and then burled and outlined in paint. This process is still used to this day, almost a century later. Today, the Hacker Boat Company, Inc. is the world’s largest builder of classic mahogany motorboats as the builders of Hacker-Craft. Considered one of the most authentic American-made brands, each boat with the Hacker-Craft logo is using the benchmark process and quality standards that launched the legacy. By spending thousands of hours on every Hacker-Craft, as well as implementing the modern materials and power sources, their master craftsmen ensure that the boats are of the utmost quality that the brand is known for. The result is a classically designed boat that features the latest in technology, engines and materials. For sale right now on duPont REGISTRY are two impeccable examples of Hacker-Craft boats, a 24 Runabout and 27 Sport. Historic 'Warpath' Powerboat is Heading to Auction

Presented by Ferco Motors - It was back in 1984 for the Offshore Power Boat World Championship that the wind was howling, prompting the catamaran drivers to be wary of the 5 to 10-foot seas. There was one driver, however, that was happy about the conditions. That man was Bob Saccenti of Team Apache Racing who would be the throttles of Warpath, a 41-foot deep-vee offshore racing boat, while Ben Kramer was Driver and Tom Evans was Navigator. While the catamarans are best suited for flat water to skip across, they do not fare well in high seas. For Saacenti and the Warpath, these conditions gave him a one-up over the competition. Warpath would go on to dominate the 1984 World Championship, placing the boat in powerboat history. Automotive Photography by Deremer Studios, LLC Automotive Photography by Deremer Studios, LLC Now, Warpath is heading to auction and is doing so in remarkable condition. Between 2007 and 2009, the boat was given a bow to stern restoration that was overseen by Tom Evans, the original crew chief of Team Apache Racing and navigator for the 1984 world championship season and Gail Paik, the original artist. Automotive Photography by Deremer Studios, LLC Warpath came to Gail and Tom in already solid condition, with no structural repairs necessary. The sturdy Kevlar deep-vee hull was already built for heavy seas, allowing it to remain in fantastic condition. Still, the crew brought Warpath back to its original glory through the restoration of the graphics, mechanical, and cabin features. This includes the rebuild of the twin supercharged 572ci Chevrolet big-block V8 engines, as well as as going through all steering components, throttles, and instrumentation. Altogether, Warpath is currently in truly remarkable condition thanks to the restoration and is ready to be cherished by a new owner. This is a truly rare opportunity for someone to own a piece of boating history. Coming along with the boat is a triple-axle All American trailer. Warpath will be sold via a week-long online auction beginning on September 10, 2021. For more information, be sure to click the button below. Learn More Now
