Historic 'Warpath' Powerboat is Heading to Auction

Presented by Ferco Motors - It was back in 1984 for the Offshore Power Boat World Championship that the wind was howling, prompting the catamaran drivers to be wary of the 5 to 10-foot seas. There was one driver, however, that was happy about the conditions. That man was Bob Saccenti of Team Apache Racing who would be the throttles of Warpath, a 41-foot deep-vee offshore racing boat, while Ben Kramer was Driver and Tom Evans was Navigator. While the catamarans are best suited for flat water to skip across, they do not fare well in high seas. For Saacenti and the Warpath, these conditions gave him a one-up over the competition. Warpath would go on to dominate the 1984 World Championship, placing the boat in powerboat history. Automotive Photography by Deremer Studios, LLC Automotive Photography by Deremer Studios, LLC Now, Warpath is heading to auction and is doing so in remarkable condition. Between 2007 and 2009, the boat was given a bow to stern restoration that was overseen by Tom Evans, the original crew chief of Team Apache Racing and navigator for the 1984 world championship season and Gail Paik, the original artist. Automotive Photography by Deremer Studios, LLC Warpath came to Gail and Tom in already solid condition, with no structural repairs necessary. The sturdy Kevlar deep-vee hull was already built for heavy seas, allowing it to remain in fantastic condition. Still, the crew brought Warpath back to its original glory through the restoration of the graphics, mechanical, and cabin features. This includes the rebuild of the twin supercharged 572ci Chevrolet big-block V8 engines, as well as as going through all steering components, throttles, and instrumentation. Altogether, Warpath is currently in truly remarkable condition thanks to the restoration and is ready to be cherished by a new owner. This is a truly rare opportunity for someone to own a piece of boating history. Coming along with the boat is a triple-axle All American trailer. Warpath will be sold via a week-long online auction beginning on September 10, 2021. For more information, be sure to click the button below. Learn More Now

Everything You Need To Know Before Attending The Monaco Yacht Show. Courtesy of Denison Yachting, By Marina Nazario - The Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) will return to the quays of Port Hercules and unveil another outstanding fleet of superyachts on display for purchase or charter by the leading names in the yachting industry. The annual show is presenting a new format for 2021 that will refocus the event on superyacht clients, for a less crowded and more exclusive experience. European builders such as Benetti, Feadship, Lürssen, Oceanco, and Sanlorenzo are still confirmed to be in attendance. Held at Monaco’s Port Hercules from September 22-25, 2021, MYS will feature more than 300 exhibitors, 60 superyachts, and 40 brand new launches, including boats leading the sail, motor, and explorer ranges. Whether you’re in the market for a new superyacht, interested in an unforgettable yacht charter experience, or eager to get a glimpse of the latest onboard design trends, here’s your complete guide to the Monaco Yacht Show. Request Complimentary Tickets What To Expect Source: Denison Yachting In light of COVID-19, MYS and Informa Markets are working together to create a Covid-safe event. There is a list of sanitary measures in place to promote a safe event, including the presentation of a valid health pass at the show entrances, enhanced cleaning, hand sanitizing stations, and social distancing. U.S. citizens traveling to Monaco for the boat show must present proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken within 48 hours or proof of vaccination.  Once you’re in Monaco, there are plenty of luxury hotels and five-star restaurants close to the boat show. Monaco Yacht Show also provides options for arranging transportation, including a private jet, helicopter, shuttle boats, and chauffeur. When you’re settled in and ready to enjoy the event, expect to see and tour some of the biggest superyachts on display. Show organizers are consistently looking for new ways to attract the next wave of yacht owners, specifically young clientele who have a penchant for high-tech and innovation. Perhaps that’s why the tenders and toys exhibition was a hit during previous years, and will return for its fourth installment in 2021. At this exhibit, you’ll find everything from jet packs and fly boards to amphibious vehicles and personal submarines. New to the event this year is the yacht design and innovation hub where you can discuss your first yacht building project with the designer and attend live presentations. MYS organizers aim at enhancing the first-time superyacht experience of the new generation of customers who plan to build their future yacht. The Monaco Yacht Summit is an annual event that offers detailed information about yachting to clients through a series of panel discussions led by experts in the yachting industry. Attendees have a chance to speak with selected specialists who can answer their questions about various aspects of yacht charter, purchase, operation, and ownership. Denison Yachting Will Be Alpha Custom Yachts' Exclusive N...

Denison Yachting has just announced that they will be Alpha Custom Yachts' exclusive North American dealer. Alpha Yachts is a family-owned luxury yacht builder that's located in the United States with roots spanning into Mexico. It all started in 1989 when brothers Roberto and Jorge Abourmrad opened up Performance Boats, allowing them to provide Mexican clients with boats from brands like Ferretti, Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, and Malibu. With decades of experience under their belt and the desire to build yachts that represents the way owners use their vessel, they founded Alpha Custom Yachts. Now, Alpha Yachts has multiple yachts under construction with lengths of up to 140-feet. “We consider Denison not only to be a leader in the brokerage community but also accustomed to selling new yachts. They’ve already represented other brands and that sets them apart from the standard activity of a brokerage firm,” said Roberto Aboumrad. “Obviously, our size of boats is not for a normal-sized dealer; so it was complicated to make our decision, but for sure we made the right choice.” David Johnson of Denison will be the exclusive representative of Alpha Yachts in North America and Denison will also be promoting sales for the Alfresco and Spritz lines. Top 10 Coolest Superyacht Toys

Courtesy of Denison Yachting - The best superyacht toys let you relax, play, and explore a destination. You could be sipping a cocktail on an inflatable island one minute, and the next, you’re deep diving in a submarine. The toys make all the difference. Based on multiyear experience in superyacht sales and charter, Denison Yachting is delighted to share the list of the 10 coolest toys to add to a superyacht. 1. Triton 660/2 It’s tough to compete with a luxury two-seater submarine that can reach depths of 660 feet. Triton 660/2 is built to explore the world’s most remote destinations, like Antarctica or Australia. With this submarine you can dive far enough underwater to see photo-luminescent creatures, rare invertebrates, and large pelagic mammals. And by pelagic mammals we mean diving alongside penguins as they leap from icebergs in Antarctica. 2. AquaBanas Pop3 Pool Resort The Pop3 Pool Resort is the best way to enjoy the water in comfort and style. While it looks like a 4 day mission to inflate, you can customize the island and add different elements. You can add king lounges, decks, docks, swim platforms, party banas, or a pool. AquaBanas can even add your yacht’s branding and colors. 3. Red Shark Water Bike Not every yacht has a gym, and you don’t need one if you have a Red Shark bike. When you’re anchored off the coast of Mallorca and want to explore around the cliffs and archipelagos, this water bike will get you there. And boy, is it a great workout! This water bike is an inflatable, portable, eco-friendly toy for fitness or adventure. It’s also convenient to store on your yacht. 4. FunAir Climbing Wall Fitness can be fun. Especially when you’re scaling the port side of a yacht on an inflatable rock climbing wall. This FunAir Climbing Wall is great for guests of all ages. It features handholds, climbing ropes, and courses to suit differing abilities. It’s easy for crew to inflate with a RapidFlate system. Race you to the top. 5. WASZP Foil Racing Boat If you’ve always wanted to race like you’re in America’s Cup, then you’ll want to add a WASZP foil racing boat to your superyacht. The foil design creates a fast, stable platform with good performance. The foils are not sharp and provide the safest experience for those learning to foil for the first time. There are enough controls to keep the sailing entertaining for the experienced sailor. 6. Seabob F5 SR Seabobs are known and loved as a favorite superyacht toy. But the Seabob F5 SR is a game-changer. It has a 10% performance boost increasing the underwater speed to 12 mph and the surface speed to 14 mph. The Seabob F5 SR also comes with 2 cameras — one facing outward to capture the underwater world, the other is an action selfie cam (because who doesn’t love those bubbly underwater smiles?). You can upgrade this Seabob with your favorite colors or branding for the icing on the cake. 7. Tandem Jetovator You know those water jetpacks that were super popular in 2018? How much more fun would they be if you could fly with two people? The Tandem Jetovator makes that possible. It’s a superyacht toy that looks like a motorbike without wheels. It’s propelled by a hose and can be controlled from the front or rear seat. It’s a great toy for beginners who want to fly safely with an instructor. This toy is perfect for a Caribbean yacht charter onboard EXCELLENCE. 8. FunAir Big Air Blob Despite an incredibly awesome name, Big Air Blob is also a super cool toy that guests will enjoy on your yacht. It’s purposely engineered for superyachts, with side stabilising outriggers to handle ocean waves and a fitted cradle to keep the blob safely positioned away from the hull. Jump from the top of the yacht, onto the blob, to launch the person flying into the air for the ultimate thrill. 9. LIFT EFoil Alright, alright, there are plenty of different versions of an electric hydrofoil surfboard, but the LIFT eFoil has the best reviews. It’s fast, light, and durable with an improved battery for ride times of 120 minutes at 30 miles per hour. It looks more intimidating than it is — seriously, it’s a toy for beginners and pros. The new models have four available size options, with new shapes for better maneuverability, plus nine advanced hydrofoil wing options. Surf’s up. 10. RoboSea Robo-Shark This Robo-Shark is an underwater drone that looks and moves like a shark. It comes with automatic obstacle avoidance and a multi-joint caudal fin that reduces water noise. The Robo-Shark is perfect for professional or aspiring photographers as it can be fitted with nearly any camera, communication, or sensor rig. Why does it look like a shark? So it can get close to marine life and snag the best footage. Whether you’re into sailing, surfing, snorkeling, relaxing, or being a kid, superyacht toys are improving each year. Make sure your boat is loaded with the best selection for private or commercial yacht charter. Contact a Denison yacht broker to upgrade your yacht, boat, or charter experience.
