Maserati Brings Classics To The First Anantara Concorso Roma

The inaugural iteration of this concours event saw a significant presence from Maserati.

Maserati is currently having one of the most significant milestone years in its century-long history, as 2026 marks the centenary of its iconic Trident emblem, as well as the centenary of Maserati’s involvement in motorsport. That makes 2026 not only a perfect year to celebrate the Maserati brand that exists today, but also a perfect time to look back on the incredible legacy of Maserati classics.

Recently, Maserati Classiche, the department within the manufacturer dedicated to preserving history, celebrating classics, and restoring cars, issued its 100th Certificate of Authenticity. That was given to one of just five 3500 GT Convertible Vignale prototype cars in existence. That stunning historical rarity was one of the Maserati cars displayed at the recently held inaugural iteration of the Anantara Concorso Roma, a concours event that saw the participation of more than 70 incredibly rare and prestigious Italian cars owned across the globe.

Maserati was an official partner of the event, and as such, the 1927 Maserati Tipo 26B and the 1954 A6GCS-53 Berlinetta Pininfarina were both alongside the 1959 3500 GT Convertible Vignale prototype at the event. Maserati’s modern masterpieces were also present, including the GT2 Stradale and MCPura supercars, and a private collector’s 1931 Maserati V4 Sport Zagato won the Best of Show Award, as it was there with other privately owned cars like a 3500 GT Vignale Spider, a 3500 GT Vignale Spider “prototype,” and a Ghibli SS. With award-winning classics throughout the event, Maserati’s significant presence at the inaugural Anantara Concorso Roma made the new Italian concours a truly special showcase of automotive excellence.
