Maserati Classiche & Touring Superleggera Unveil Restored...

Maserati and Touring Superleggera revive a legend. Maserati is one of the most celebrated and historic luxury automotive manufacturers, showcasing Italian style, spirited performance, and enviable luxury. However, one of its most important aspects throughout history has been its longstanding legacy of grand tourers. Over the decades, Maserati has created cars that combine performance and comfort that have defined the genre, and one of the most cherished is the 3500GT, a stunning classic known for its timeless beauty and elegance. At this year’s Retromobile, a show that celebrates the beauty and history of classic cars in Paris, a special example of the Maserati 3500GT will be on display. Originally from 1959, the car was meant for California originally, and owned by the Dodge family for decades. Between Maserati Classiche, a department of the manufacturer dedicated to preserving Maserati’s historic models, and the renowned coachbuilder Touring Superleggera, the car was beautifully restored to be showcased at Retromobile. The restoration left no stone unturned, reviving the chassis, engine, transmission, and verified the function of the tires, brakes, wheels, and suspension. The bodywork and interior were carefully inspected, along with the electrics. After the painstaking and faithful restoration of the car, Maserati awarded it with a Certification of Authenticity from Maserati Classiche, symbolizing its status as a beautifully restored and preserved legend of Italian automotive history. Maserati MC20 Price, Specs, Photos & Review

The Maserati MC12 left big shoes for the MC20 to fill. And we’re not just talking about the fact that the MC12 is nearly 17 feet long and 7 feet wide. The Maserati MC20 was tasked with serving as the successor to one of the most iconic supercars in the world, a bold statement that pushed Maserati’s brand into a new era. With an incredible V12 engine and a top speed of 205 mph, the MC12 is a car that shaped many enthusiasts’ dreams. However, the MC20 delivers on the promise of being a successor, with its stunning looks that take cues from its predecessor as well as cars like the Birdcage 75th Concept, and its performance that improves on the MC12’s acceleration thanks to the amazing Nettuno V6 engine and a lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque. Like the MC12 before it, the Maserati MC20 is an era-defining supercar. Maserati MC20 Price The Maserati MC20 has a starting MSRP of over $200,000. However, considering the fact that a Maserati MC20 for sale is an Italian supercar with the ability to get from 0-60 in less than 2.9 seconds, and climb to speeds of over 200 mph, this is fairly standard. While the Maserati MC20 price is expensive, you get what you pay for, in terms of a carbon-fiber monocoque that comes straight from the racing world, a V6 engine with over 600 horsepower, and the stunning Italian looks, spirit, craftsmanship, and luxury that come with owning a Maserati. Maserati MC20 Review The Maserati MC20 is a sight to behold, but sight is just the tip of the iceberg. A Maserati MC20 review is an opportunity to experience the best when it comes to Italian luxury and performance. The MC20 ticks all the boxes when it comes to being a gorgeous supercar: it’s mid-engined, has rear-wheel drive, it sits low with dramatic butterfly doors, and it’s monstrously quick. The Maserati MC20 horsepower of 621 is what propels the sleek and aerodynamic lightweight machine to world-class speeds, and the same light weight and advanced technology help it get around the street and track with style, dynamism, and ease. With the driver doing all of this in beautifully made Italian leather seats and with a carbon-fiber and Alcantara steering wheel, the MC20 doesn’t leave much to be desired. Maserati MC20 Specs The Maserati MC20 specs compete with some of the best supercars in the world and combined with the car’s looks and Italian luxury spirit, it makes for quite the desirable machine. The Nettuno V6 that Maserati debuted with the car makes it blindingly quick. The Maserati MC20 0-60 is just 2.9 seconds, with a ¼ mile of just 11 seconds, which is an incredible time for a six-cylinder car, but it doesn’t end there. The Maserati MC20 top speed is 205 mph, putting it with world-class supercars that exemplify the best the automotive world has to offer in terms of incredible production car performance. Maserati MC20 Specs Price: $212,000 Engine: 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 Transmission: 8-speed dual-clutch transmission Horsepower: 621 hp Torque:  538 lb/ft 0-60 mph: 2.9 s ¼ mile: 11.0 s Top Speed: 202 mph Maserati MC20 Engine “Nettuno” is what Maserati has chosen to call the Maserati MC20 engine, named after Neptune, the Roman god of the sea, which is also the place from which Maserati’s iconic trident is derived. And with the ability to produce 621 horsepower with a 3.0-liter displacement, the Nettuno V6 is fittingly named for its godly power. The 90-degree architecture was specifically chosen to lower the center of gravity and maintain the MC20’s incredible weight distribution, as well. With racing-derived technology throughout, the Nettuno V6 doesn’t just contribute to the MC20’s power, it also contributes to the car’s light weight and superior agility, as well. After being introduced on the MC20, the Nettuno V6 has gone on to become Maserati's flagship performance engine, featuring in the Grecale Trofeo, the GranTurismo Trofeo, the GranCabrio Trofeo, the MC20's open-top sibling, the MC20 Cielo, and all of the supercars that Maserati has revealed that are based on the MC20, like the MCXtrema, the GT2, and the GT2 Stradale. Maserati MC20 Transmission The MC20 employs the use of an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, which enables fast, easy shifting, and also comes equipped with four driving modes: GT, Sport, Corsa, and Wet. GT is the default, most comfortable driving mode, while Sport and Corsa get more aggressive respectively. Wet mode takes every measure to make sure that the MC20’s driver maintains control of the car even in tough situations. The Maserati MC20 transmission can be seen as a microcosm of the car itself, as the dual-clutch is an evolution of the MC12’s six-speed automated manual like the MC20 is an evolution of the MC12. Maserati MC20 Interior One of the first things you’ll notice about the Maserati MC20 interior is the fact that the instrument cluster and infotainment system are fully digitized, meaning that all of the information displays in the car are able to be customized to your preferences, which can prove incredibly useful when it comes to performance driving, where you only want to see what you need to see so that you can drive distraction-free and focus on the road ahead. And once it’s adorned with leather, carbon fiber, and Alcantara, the interior of the MC20 is as luxurious as it is personal. An optional Sonus faber sound system makes the MC20 just as much of a private oasis as it is a supercar. Maserati MC20 Brakes From 60-0 mph, the Maserati MC20 brakes have the ability to stop at a distance of just 108 feet. That’s because the Maserati MC20 comes equipped with a state-of-the-art braking system courtesy of Brembo. The front brakes consist of monobloc 6-piston calipers and carbon-ceramic discs, and the rear brakes have 4-piston calipers, also with carbon-ceramic discs. The monobloc construction of the calipers along with the carbon-ceramic composition of the disks allows for reliable strength and rigidity, while the carbon-ceramic adds the bonus of the ability to save weight, adding to the MC20’s incredible dynamics. Maserati MC20 Standout Features The Maserati MC20 is a Maserati through and through and is proud to say so. Features that are unmistakably Maserati include the Birdcage wheels, which have been a staple for years in Maserati and feature a three-pointed motif, which itself serves as a reference to the brand’s iconic Trident. Another spot where you can see a Maserati motif is in the rear glass of the car, which, covering the engine, is vented with openings that form the stunning shape of a trident at the back of the car, which adds a unique touch to the car’s beauty. For the first time ever, Maserati introduced Butterfly doors to the MC20, which open upward. Not only do they create a dramatic, attention-commanding effect when exiting the car, but they also make it easier to do so by creating an unobstructed opening, considering how low the car sits to the ground. The butterfly doors of the Maserati MC20 maximize cool-factor and style even after your drive is over. In addition, Maserati's Fuoriserie bespoke division is responsible for all kinds of unique, exclusive Maserati creations, offering unique colors and options for the Maserati MC20 that help it stand out even further in a crowd. Through Fuoriserie, exclusive versions of the MC20 like the MC20 Icona, inspired by the legendary MC12 it succeeds, have been created. View All Maserati MC20s For Sale " width="680"> Image Source: Maserati Does the Maserati MC20 have a Ferrari engine? No. The Maserati MC12, which was the predecessor to the MC20, sported a Ferrari-derived V12, but the MC20 features Maserati's Nettuno V6, a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that Maserati has crowned its new flagship performance engine. Is the Maserati MC20 turbocharged? Yes. The Maserati MC20's Nettuno V6 engine is twin-turbocharged, and a unique feature of the engine is its pre-combustion chamber, inspired by F1. How much does a Maserati MC20 cost? A Maserati MC20 carries an MSRP of over $200,000. Expect to pay even more if you want the MC20 Cielo with its open top. On the second-hand market, examples of the Maserati MC20 coupe, depending on age, mileage, and condition, range from under $200,000 to just under $300,000. What are the variants of the Maserati MC20? There is the Maserati MC20 coupe, the open top Maserati MC20 Cielo, and the limited-edition Maserati MC20 Icona and Maserati MC20 Leggenda, which are inspired by the Maserati MC12 supercar of the 2000s. However, a few Maserati models are based on the Maserati MC20: the Maserati MCXtrema, a track-only supercar, the Maserati GT2 race car, and the Maserati GT2 Stradale, the road-legal version of the GT2.

Maserati Delivers The First MCXtrema Racing Supercar At L...

Maserati brings its new racing supercar to fruition. The MC20 flipped the script for Maserati, continuing the legacy of the MC12 supercar and introducing a new approach to performance for the brand. Since then, Maserati has introduced a new design language, and the brand has heralded the Nettuno twin-turbo V6 engine, introduced in the MC20, as its premier performance engine. Now, the MC20 and its Nettuno V6 have served as the basis for new racing-ready machines, like the track-only MCXtrema and the newly-revealed, highly exclusive Maserati GT2 Stradale. During Monterey Car Week this year, Maserati delivered the first example of its new customer racing masterpiece at one of the most iconic race tracks in the world, the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. The New Maserati GT2 Stradale Is A New Road-Legal Race Car

Maserati’s supercar renaissance goes even further. Maserati introduced the MC20 a few years ago, and it started a new chapter for the Trident. It was the first Maserati supercar since the legendary MC12 introduced the high-performance Nettuno twin-turbo V6 engine and spurred on a radical change in Maserati’s lineup. It ushered in a new design language, and after it came the open-top MC20 Cielo, the Grecale, the new GranTurismo and GranCabrio, and the Maserati GT2 race car and track-only Maserati MCXtrema based on the MC20. Maserati is continuing along that journey, introducing the new Maserati GT2 Stradale. Unveiled at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, one of the most prestigious events at Monterey Car Week, the new Maserati GT2 Stradale bridges the gap between the Maserati GT2 race car and the roadgoing Maserati MC20 supercar, bringing the racing machine’s aggressive style and performance focus to a new road-ready high-performance machine. With 640 horsepower from its evolved version of the Nettuno twin-turbo V6, it eclipses the MC20’s power figure by 10 horsepower and has a top speed of over 200 mph. It gets from 0-60 in just 2.8 seconds and promises a race-car feel while taking on incredible driving roads. Maserati offers exclusive Furoriserie customizations for the new GT2 Stradale while also offering packages dedicated to further improving performance, with items like Michelin semi-slick tires, carbon ceramic brakes, four-point seatbelts, a fire extinguisher, a new driving mode, and more. Exposed carbon fiber is available for detail pieces like the door sills, paddle shifters, diffusers, side skirts, hood, roof, and more. The striking launch color of the car comes from the Fuoriserie palette: Digital Aurora Matte. A blue with shades of red with a magenta mica, it provides a head-turning and unforgettable finish. Other Fuoriserie colors for the GT2 Stradale include Grigio Lamiera Matte, Digital Mint Matte, Nero Cometa Textured, Powder Nude Textured, Blu Corse, Azzurro Astro Matte, and Military Teal Matte. The standard colors are Nero Essenza, Blu Infinito, Gloss Giallo Genio, and Matte Bianco Audace. The interior combines aspects of the MC20 and the GT2 race car, with carbon fiber throughout, Alcantara upholstery, a carbon fiber floor, new racing-focused seats designed with Sabelt, and a sportier steering wheel with shift lights. Features like a modern infotainment system powered by the Android Automotive OS with over-the-air updates, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and Amazon Alexa integration, as well as a Sonus faber sound system boasting 6 or an optional 12 speakers, give the new Maserati GT2 Stradale luxury grand touring appeal, while still brandishing profound racing ability. Maserati's high-performance lineup gained a significant new addition with its racing supercar hero now translated as a road-legal supercar in the new GT2 Stradale.
